131***77:“Mannar is a northern city in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka, adjacent to Jaffna and across the sea from India, about 20 nautical miles away. There is also a Chinese cannery on the island of Mannar. Most of the people here are Tamils who migrated from India in the early years. These Tamils are simple and hospitable. After 20 years of war (LTTE), they are now in a state of recuperation. However, the Sinhalese in the south still look down on the Tamils because of the civil war. There are many Tamil temples here, and the beliefs include Hinduism, Christianity, Catholicism, etc. I have attached some pictures of Tamil temples from 400 years ago. If you have time, come and have a look and experience the South Asian style”
