I was looking for an affordable hotel near Jiaxiu Tower in Guiyang and stumbled upon this place by chance. It truly lives up to its name, 'Huanzhu' (meaning 'joyful stay'). It's located on a very lively street, about a 15-minute walk to Jiaxiu Tower, with bustling commercial streets all along the way. The hotel entrance is small; you need to take an elevator to the third floor to check in. Both the second and third floors are guest rooms. The corridors have thick carpets, which provide excellent sound insulation. The rooms are fully automated with Xiao Du (a smart assistant) controlling lighting brightness, air conditioning, and curtains. There's no TV, just a large projector on the wall opposite the bed. One evening, I bought a couple of beers downstairs, watched a movie, and surprisingly, despite the loud projector sound, no one bothered me, and I couldn't hear any noise from next door either. This room included a double breakfast, which was delivered to the room. It was exquisitely prepared. Although they were ready-made and microwaved, it was still a nice touch. One afternoon, it rained, so I went to the front desk to see if they had an umbrella. The lovely lady at the front desk immediately gave me her own umbrella. This is truly an economical, thoughtfully run, and affordable hotel.

Food lovers will be in paradise at this hotel! The Yun Shang Buffet on the 57th floor is the highest panoramic restaurant in the city, offering unlimited seafood, freshly carved Tomahawk steak, and Haagen-Dazs desserts. Breakfast features both French croissants and local Guiyang wontons and sticky rice. The Le Xuan Hua Chinese restaurant on the 4th floor serves authentic Qian cuisine, with sour soup and stir-fried pork that capture the local flavors. The special Cili (Rosa Roxburghii) cocktail at the Le Bar on the 55th floor is incredibly creative, and the Executive Lounge provides all-day afternoon tea and evening hot food. You can enjoy a grand meal while watching the sunset and savor all of Guiyang's specialties without even leaving the hotel. The dining quality truly lives up to five-star standards. Stepping in, I was immediately impressed. The hallways are adorned with oil paintings, making each floor feel like an art exhibition. The design is a French-inspired 'cream cave' style – every corner is Instagram-worthy. Our double room was incredibly comfortable, with a spacious layout and soft bedding. The amenities are very smart, including a smart toilet. The attention to detail is evident, even the toiletries feel like works of art. The service was also exceptionally thoughtful. We were greeted with a welcome afternoon tea, and the Tremella soup was delicious. In the evenings, there's a comforting 'goodnight sweet wine and mochi' service. Plus, the 24-hour room service meant we could enjoy Guiyang snacks even late at night.

I chose this Mercure for my trip to Anshun, and as part of the HUAZHU Hotels group, the quality is guaranteed. The hotel is newly renovated, and the facilities and hygiene are excellent, making for a comfortable stay. The front desk service was particularly great—warm and attentive, even giving me an extra breakfast, which was a thoughtful touch. The biggest bonus is that it's pet-friendly, so I could bring my furry child along. While the 100 RMB cleaning fee felt a bit high, it was acceptable. Parking was very convenient, with its own independent parking lot, so no need to search for a spot. Overall, I highly recommend it and would consider staying here again next time I visit Anshun.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic – the ambiance, cleanliness, comfort, service across the board, and the dining. I'd been wanting to experience it since last year but never found the right opportunity, so I was thrilled to finally make it! On our first night, we were in a room on a lower floor, and the noise from the plumbing upstairs disturbed our sleep. After providing feedback to our butler, we were upgraded for free to a balcony room on the top floor, which was more than double the price – kudos to them! The hotel also offers all-day dining; breakfast extends until 1 PM (this is the first time I've encountered this in all the hotels I've stayed at over the years!), which is incredibly thoughtful for guests who like to sleep in, truly allowing residents to relax and rest. In the evenings, they even offer sweet soups and late-night congee – simply amazing! The snacks, drinks, and fruit in the room are also plentiful and completely free. When checking out, the hotel even gave us a gift to apologize for our disturbed sleep on the first night. They genuinely care about every guest's experience and are incredibly thoughtful! I will definitely be back!

The room was quite clean, and the customer service, especially Xiao Man, was excellent! She gave us very detailed tips for hiking. The hotel is right next to the scenic area entrance, which makes hiking super convenient. The surrounding environment of the hotel is also great; even if you're not hiking, it's a very comfortable place for a summer getaway. 😌😌😌

The moment you step into the lobby, you're immediately struck by the sense of luxury. It's dazzling, with walls adorned with books and chandeliers showcasing fine wines – it truly feels like a feast for the eyes. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and check-in was very quick. The coffee candy at the front desk was delicious too! As for the room, it was clean and tidy. The slippers weren't the usual disposable kind; their quality was comparable to those you'd use at home. The bedding was also very thoughtful: there were two pillows, one a slightly lower memory foam pillow, perfect for sleeping, and another larger, thicker one, ideal for leaning against – I really appreciated this detail. Both the duvet and mattress were very soft, and I slept incredibly well. The hotel's soundproofing is also quite good, which is essential when you're traveling for business and need your rest; I wasn't disturbed by any outside noise. Another plus is that this hotel is very close to Qingyun Market and Jiaxiu Tower, making it convenient to walk over and explore after work. Overall, I had a very positive impression of this hotel, and I'll definitely choose a different room type here again on my next business trip to Guiyang.

I loved this place so much that I stayed 5 nights. Yang the owner speaks perfect English. I rang the day before and he was waiting at the train station with my name on a sign. He helped me organise the entrance fee. Mine was free as I'm 73 years old, even though I am a foreigner. I am travelling on my own from New Zealand. The train station pick up was free and very useful. If you take the bus it's a long way from the ticket office and bus stop into the village. Yang then transferred me into his smaller vehicle to go up the little lane to the hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into the village and has a great view of the village.. It is quiet as it's a little bit away from the busy centre. The room was perfect. Everything new and very clean. And no smells. The bed was extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. I used the washing machine in the room to wash my clothes. There was tea and coffee provided. Yang took me on a full day trip to see some other local villages that have no tourists. We walked around the villages together. It was fantastic to have an English guide to explain everything. We saw people making rice wine, making indigo dye, building a house using traditional techniques. We saw a fighting buffalo. Yang chatted to the people and explained what they were doing. This was the best time I have had in China. He was a good careful driver. The breakfast was huge! So many dishes, including fruit. Yang was always available to help me with any questions and we had good talks every morning when he helped me plan my activities.

My month-long trip around Yunnan and Guizhou came to a perfect end, and I was so happy to finally visit the long-anticipated Huangguoshu Waterfall in Anshun. I chose this Anshun Huangguoshu Kaiyuan Mingdu Resort Hotel from Trip.com. The online reviews were excellent, and it certainly lived up to its reputation! The hotel is right next to the scenic area, with beautiful surroundings and pleasant views. The hotel's high-end design style is elegant and unique, and the decor is luxurious and sophisticated. The lovely front desk supervisor provided warm and attentive service, even upgrading me to a deluxe king room. Fresh fruit was delivered to my room every afternoon. The hotel restaurant was also very clean and tidy, and the food was exceptionally delicious. In the evenings, I could read, swim, or work out – all great options. The breakfast was also especially tasty, making every day happy and comfortable. It's a wonderful hotel for a relaxing holiday, and I'll definitely stay for a few more days next time! 🥤🥤
