Untuk bilik 10/10, utk resort overall 6/10. swimming pool not so well maintained, water slide out of order. kawasan resort besar tp macam under-utilized sbb tak byk facilities, dan nampak tak dijaga dengan begitu baik.

I spent 4 days and 3 nights at Royale Signature Hotel, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most pleasantly surprising stays in Alor Setar! From check-in to check-out, everything felt smooth and welcoming — the staff genuinely made me feel like a guest, not just a booking number. The room was spacious, bright, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials: comfy bed, soft pillows, mini-fridge, and a spot-perfect workspace. The sleep quality was impressive… though, full disclosure, the soundproofing could use an upgrade — I could occasionally hear faint hallway sounds. Nothing deal-breaking, but something to note if you’re a deep sleeper. Location-wise, it’s a winner. Walking distance to Aman Central, local cafés, and Alor Setar Tower made exploring effortless. High floors also offer a lovely city view — perfect for morning coffee or sunset photos. Little touches made my stay memorable: complimentary Wi-Fi that never faltered, modern toiletries, and those small staff gestures that made a difference — smiles, helpful directions, and quick responses whenever I needed something. Overall, Royale Signature Hotel is a great value for a 4-star stay in the heart of the city. Comfortable, convenient, and welcoming — I left feeling rested, happy, and already planning my next visit. If you’re coming to Alor Setar, this hotel will not disappoint. 💡 Tip: Request a higher floor for the best city views and bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper — minor things, but your stay will be perfect!

I had a pleasant stay at Purest Hotel overall. The location is very convenient, making it easy to access nearby amenities and get around the area. I also appreciate the team’s prompt response whenever I made a request — the service was efficient and attentive. That said, one area for improvement would be the pigeon situation at the car park, which could be better managed to enhance cleanliness and overall guest experience. With some attention to this, the stay experience would be even better.

The hotel itself is well located and has a certain charm. The furniture is quite old, but in a way it adds character to the place. The staff we interacted with were generally kind and polite. However, we had a very upsetting experience with the Ramadan buffet restaurant. We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 PM after a long day of travel with two flights (Phuket to Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi). My mother had been fasting all day for Ramadan and had not eaten or drunk anything. When we saw that the restaurant was preparing the Ramadan buffet, my mother sat down hoping to break her fast there. Unfortunately we were refused and told that reservations had to be made one day in advance. This was very surprising for us, as we had just arrived in the country and could not possibly have reserved the day before. We were directed to another nearby restaurant, but after waiting more than one hour we still had not received any food. During that time my mother — who had been fasting all day — still had nothing to eat, and my two-year-old child was crying because he was hungry. In the end, my mother was only able to eat about two hours after the time of breaking the fast. Aside from this very difficult experience, the hotel itself is pleasant and the staff are friendly. However, I hope the management will consider being more flexible and understanding in situations like this, especially for guests observing Ramadan and families traveling with young children.

Nice hotel with real potential, but it feels neglected and needs maintenance. The rooftop pool is pleasant with great views, though the big umbrella is very rusted and it closes at 7 pm, a bit too early. The room was excellent: large, spacious and really beautiful. Breakfast is a highlight, very good selection and the pancakes were outstanding. Staff is hit or miss: some are friendly and helpful, others seem bored and uninterested. The rooftop restaurant idea is nice, but service was poor. We waited a full hour for dinner while later arrivals got served first, very frustrating. Overall: good bones, great room and breakfast, but inconsistent service and visible wear and tear hold it back. Could be excellent with some care.

My stay at Langkapuri Inn didn’t quite live up to my expectations, to be honest. The room was definitely spacious, but the interior felt rather basic and could be improved. Adding simple furniture, such as a couch, would make the space more comfortable. The washroom, in particular, could benefit from some renovation. That said, the rooftop area is a nice highlight — it’s a relaxing spot to unwind at night, and they even screen movies there, which creates a chill atmosphere. The location is also convenient. It’s an easy walk to Pantai Cenang, and there are plenty of food options nearby. Overall, while the facilities could use some upgrading, the location and rooftop vibe are definite plus points.

Hotel is 15 floors. Check in to room with sea view on 11th floor - big, clean carpeted, separate shower and tub. Lobby pretty big with restaurant, meeting room, tour guide and a bistro. Welcome drink is a choice of fruit juice or beer at bistro. Also included is a high tea voucher for following day. Took a short walk and found a variety of different food places around - malay, Indian, Korean, Japanese and a tze char joint as well. A lot of different varieties of shops and duty free shops as Langkawi is a duty-free island where alcohol is cheaper than soft drinks. Many seafood joints around within 0.6 to 14 km radius.

The hotel allowed us to check in early and even gave us drink vouchers. The pool was beautiful, and the room was comfortable. The service was excellent, and the breakfast spread was fantastic. Definitely don't miss the Langkawi sunset cruise and the mangrove tour!

I admit this hotel is a bit old, so it's not as modern as newly built ones. But when you're in Langkawi, an island style just isn't going to be super modern. However, the hotel's environment and service are excellent. The restaurant and pool are right next to the beach, so having breakfast every day with a sea view is just amazing. The frangipani flowers, which are the hotel's namesake, are everywhere inside the hotel, along with many other beautiful plants and a variety of birds singing. I highly recommend staying here!

Book 2 rooms for 3 nights. 1 room have shampoo and body wash another don’t have. 1st day check in one room air con is not cold at all ask the counter and advise need to wait 3-4hrs at that point of time we reach the hotel when check in about 9pm so we go out find food come bk 11+pm still not cold. Another room air con acceptable. Realise the toilet bowl and basin and shower water is yellowish ask the counter and claim is like that. Then I have to buy bottles of mineral to brush teeth. Bed got a lot of stain. 2nd night we check out and book another hotel. Which was fantastic. The lobby air con is more colder than the room. Will not stay in this hotel 1st and the last time.
