This is our third time staying at Pan Pacific Tianjin. A big shout-out to Tang Qian, the supervisor at breakfast, for her superb service! She not only met our needs but also made sure we felt well taken care of. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with fresh ingredients and attentive service – we were very satisfied. During the Chinese New Year, they even added Tianjin's famous local snacks, like steamed pear cake and tea soup, right outside the restaurant. The Executive Lounge had a great variety of food, and there was a young male server who was particularly enthusiastic and thoughtful. We were upgraded to an Ultraman themed room upon check-in, and the kids absolutely loved the giant Ultraman inside!

The location is fantastic! It's only about 3 kilometers from Tianjin Station and Tianjin North Station. Right across from the hotel, you can feed the seagulls, explore the old town, the Italian Style Street, and even visit Zhangyuan. At night, when the Tianjin Eye lights up, you can see it perfectly from the hotel. The service was excellent; they even upgraded the room for my parents and child. My family and I had a wonderful two-day, one-night trip to Tianjin, and everyone, especially the kids and my parents, had a great time. Also, the hotel breakfast was good. The place is clean and hygienic. We'll definitely be back next time!

St Regis is one of the best rated hotels and, after checking in, it isn’t hard to see why. The room was modern and very spacious. The location is right in the centre of Tianjin’s CBD, next to the Hai River, one of Tianjin’s most famous landmarks. One of the other highlights is the 24 hour butler service. The team, especially Wendy, made sure to provide personalised and bespoke service. She, and the team, was always friendly and super responsive. Oh, and the view from the room is pretty amazing too.

My bestie and I decided to go on a spontaneous trip. We booked this hotel last minute in the evening. It's right next to Hisense Plaza in Tianjin, and we even went for a stroll there after breakfast the next day. The hotel is on the 40-something floor, and the elevators are super fast. They have a gym, laundry room, and breakfast, which is on the ninth floor. We booked a twin room because it was a river view, which made it a bit more expensive, but the view was definitely worth it. The front desk lady was incredibly nice and gentle; this 5-star rating is well-deserved. The service industry really is competitive these days! The shower pressure was great, and the hot water came on super fast. The conditioner even made my bleached hair feel smooth. They also had Jianbing Guozi for breakfast; I practically stuffed myself silly every day. There's a souvenir shop right opposite the hotel where I bought some local specialties to take home. Traveling during the off-season was really a great idea.

We came to Tianjin with our parents and children and stayed for two nights. The room was spacious, and right outside was the Hai River with a beautiful night view. The double vanity design was very convenient. The shower had great pressure, and the drainage was excellent, plus the toilet had a smart bidet seat. The huge round bathtub was fantastic; after two days of soaking, our skin felt incredibly smooth. Although the facilities were a bit dated, the cleanliness was top-notch, and the service was attentive and friendly. Breakfast offered a wide variety, including both Chinese and Western options. Tianjin snacks like 'lao doufu' (tofu pudding), 'jianbing' (fried pancake), 'guobacai' (fried dough with gravy), and 'chatang' (millet flour gruel) were all available, and the coffee was good too. I was just disappointed not to find the 'naipizi tanghulu' (milk skin candied hawthorn) that other reviewers mentioned, haha, what a pity. The pool was amazing, with warm, clean water, and there was an even warmer hydrotherapy pool, almost like a hot spring, and it wasn't crowded at all. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit.

During New Year's Day, I had my first stay at the Astor Hotel in Tianjin, a hotel with a profound sense of history. While it had its commendable aspects, there were also numerous shortcomings that urgently need improvement. I was particularly disappointed with the hotel's facility maintenance and service management, and I am providing this feedback accordingly. First, let's discuss the hotel's advantages and highlights. The hotel boasts an excellent location right by the Haihe River, with a dazzling array of high-rise buildings across the bank. As night falls, the city lights create a vibrant, New York Manhattan-esque urban atmosphere, making for a superb night view. Transportation is also incredibly convenient; you can walk to Tianjin's core cultural and tourism areas like Jiefang North Road and the Five Avenues. The surrounding old buildings are rich in heritage and diverse in style, allowing you to fully experience the city's charm by strolling through them. Furthermore, the interior of the rooms maintains the hotel's historical tone, with a unique vintage design that showcases its heritage in every detail. The immersive experience during my stay was truly impressive. However, compared to its highlights, the problems exposed by the hotel are far more prominent, particularly in service management and facility maintenance. These issues are severely inconsistent with the hotel's historical reputation and positioning, which is unacceptable. In terms of service management, the overall service awareness was extremely weak, lacking the professionalism and etiquette expected of a high-end hotel. Only the front desk staff at check-in showed acceptable attitudes; the service experience in all other areas could be described as perfunctory: the foreign doorman did not proactively offer guidance or greetings, and I never received even a basic greeting from any hotel staff I encountered. Throughout my stay, there was a pervasive sense of coldness and detachment, completely disregarding the guest experience, which is entirely at odds with the hotel's brand character. Even more off-putting were the chaotic service issues in the hotel's museum. As a potentially chargeable ancillary venue, it should be an important place to showcase the hotel's history and culture and enhance guest experience. Yet, there were instances of staff dereliction of duty: two male and one female staff member were clustered together, chatting loudly and heedlessly even with visitors nearby. They even obstructed the projection video playback area for extended periods without proactively moving. Another male staff member was sitting on a museum sofa watching videos with the volume turned up so high that it drowned out the hotel's introductory video, severely disrupting visitors' experience and destroying the venue's tranquil atmosphere and cultural immersion. It's hard to imagine how such a level of service management could befitting of a high-end hotel with historical depth, and even harder to understand why a charged venue would tolerate such lax management and inappropriate service. Regarding facility maintenance, 'vintage' should never be an excuse for 'outdated facilities and lack of maintenance.' Various facilities in my hotel room clearly showed signs of inadequate maintenance, and oversights in detail severely diminished the overall guest experience: the towel rack was loose and wobbly, almost on the verge of falling off, posing a safety hazard; the sink faucet made noticeable abnormal noises when turned on and off, suggesting aging parts that haven't been replaced in time; switching shower head modes was very difficult and inconvenient, affecting daily use. Moreover, the wardrobe's space planning was highly unreasonable. While it's understandable to embed a safe within the wardrobe, it didn't adequately consider practical usage, directly occupying a significant portion of hanging space, making it inconvenient to store clothes. This highlights a perfunctory approach in both design and management—neither considering the practicality of facilities nor making timely adjustments, completely disregarding guest comfort. As a hotel steeped in historical heritage and held in high regard, the Astor Hotel Tianjin should have balanced the preservation of its historical charm with professional service and comprehensive facilities. However, during this stay, the lax service management and lack of facility maintenance not only failed to meet guest expectations but also damaged the hotel's brand reputation. I hope the hotel will address these issues, acknowledge legitimate guest feedback, strengthen staff service training and etiquette standards, improve its service management system, and thoroughly inspect and rectify all facility hazards. It should also carry out regular maintenance, optimize space planning and facility layouts to truly achieve 'a sense of history without feeling old, and historical depth with professional service,' living up to its brand legacy and guests' trust.

The location of Holiday Inn Express Tianjin Heping is a huge plus! It's right next to a commercial district and a subway station, making getting around and shopping super convenient. The facilities are a bit old, showing their age, but overall it's clean and tidy, which doesn't affect the stay. The breakfast offers a wide variety, with hot dishes, main courses, and fruits all readily available and tasting great. The front desk service was especially thoughtful; check-in and check-out were efficient, and they even proactively offered tips for local sightseeing. It offers great value for money. If you're particular about older facilities, you might want to reconsider, but if you prioritize location, breakfast, and service, it's definitely worth recommending!

We enjoyed our stay in the Shanghai-La and booked an executive room which meant we got the lounge access which is definitely worth the extra. The service was very good throughout, the room and food were excellent. The spa was also lovely and not too busy. In terms of location I probably wouldn’t stay again as a tourist as it felt a bit further from the popular spots, there weren’t many places a short walk away. However it would be perfect for a business traveller.

GGuest UserI've made it a habit to choose the Park Inn by Radisson Airport whenever I have an overnight layover. Not only do they provide airport shuttle service, but the rooms are spacious, the facilities are new, the surroundings are quiet, and the front desk staff are warm and polite. A special thank you to the driver who dropped me off today; he proactively helped me with my luggage and didn't leave until it was safely loaded onto the luggage cart. The Park Inn by Radisson Tianjin Airport branch boasts convenient transportation. A bus stop is just across the street from the hotel entrance, offering direct routes to the subway, making travel easy. Ordering takeout is also a breeze. Next time I have a layover in Tianjin, I will definitely stay here again!

AAnonymous UserTraveling with kids always presents its challenges, but the front desk staff thoughtfully upgraded us to a connecting room. Plus, the hotel has robots that deliver food right to your room. These seemingly small gestures genuinely solved so many of our headaches. The hotel's location is super convenient, with a shopping mall nearby where the kids had a blast at the play area. In this cold winter, such warm service truly touches the heart.

DDr. Oscar## Review of Homestay in Tianjin / 天津民宿评价 I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful homestay in the 杨柳青 area of Tianjin, and I can't recommend it highly enough. As a stressed entrepreneur and doctor traveling from Shanghai, this trip was a much-needed break for me, and the homestay exceeded all my expectations. 我最近有幸住在天津杨柳青地区的一家很棒的民宿,我强烈推荐这里。作为一名从上海来的压力很大的企业家和医生,这次旅行对我来说是一段急需的休息时间,而这家民宿远远超出了我的预期。 The 杨柳青 area is incredibly peaceful, offering a serene environment that is perfect for reflection and deep thinking. It's a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, providing a tranquil oasis where I could relax and recharge. 杨柳青地区非常宁静,提供了一个适合反思和深思的安静环境。这里是远离城市喧嚣的绝佳之地,提供了一个可以放松和充电的宁静绿洲。 The design of the homestay is very traditional, showcasing beautiful elements of Chinese architecture. For foreigners wanting to experience authentic Chinese design and culture, this is a fantastic place to stay. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered, from the cozy furnishings to the tasteful decor. It felt like a home away from home, which is exactly what you need when you're looking to unwind. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made my stay even more enjoyable. They were attentive and always ready to assist with anything I needed, which I truly appreciated. 主人非常热情,从我到达的那一刻起就让我有宾至如归的感觉。他们的热情好客增添了个人色彩,使我的住宿更加愉快。他们非常细心,总是准备好提供我需要的任何帮助,这让我非常感激。 If you check my other reviews, you'll see that I often travel by train to various cities from Shanghai and stay at different places. Out of all the places I've stayed, this homestay in Tianjin stands out as one of the best. I am confident that I will return here in the future whenever I need a peaceful retreat. In summary, if you're looking for a comfortable, beautifully designed homestay in a tranquil area, with welcoming hosts, this is the place to be. Highly recommended! 总之,如果你在寻找一个舒适、美丽设计的宁静区域民宿,并且有热情好客的主人,这里就是你应该来的地方。强烈推荐! --- Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need more details about my stay. 如果你有任何问题或需要更多关于我住宿的细节,请随时联系。

If It would be better to have more hooks on the wall of the room. Soundproofing: hotel room The sound insulation seems to be not very good. Ask about the room facilities: The facilities in the house are complete, water, water Kettle, TV power supply. Bed: The mattress is very comfortable and the pillows are soft. TTangchaopiaoziIt's been ten years since I last visited Tianjin, and it has changed so much! I only had three days, so I chose this Four Seasons hotel, which is located right above a subway station in the bustling downtown area. Overall, I was very satisfied. Facilities: The room space was ample, and the functional areas were particularly well-divided. The pillows were just to my liking, and the most thoughtful touch was the heated floor in the bathroom – it felt so good to come back to after a cold day out. Environment: There were quite a few construction sites downstairs, and two apartment buildings across the street. However, the night view and city lights looking towards Tianjin Station were absolutely beautiful. The location is unbeatable; it's convenient to get anywhere by subway or taxi. For someone who grew up strolling along Binjiang Road, it felt like coming home. Service: From getting out of the car to taking the elevators, I felt well taken care of every time. The front desk staff were also very thoughtful and attentive. I absolutely loved Tianjin!

GGuest UserHotel is situated at a very convenient location with the main shopping street 滨江道 opposite. There are also plenty of shopping malls and restaurants nearby. Initially I was worried about the central heating during winter (Nov to Mar) which there is no cooling from their aircon, and it worsen when i was checking in when there are people checking out due to too hot. But our receptionist has arrange a cooler room for us where it does not face the sun and also has a humidifier that can put ice inside for cooling. Furthermore there is a small window on top that can be opened and with the high level, the room is cold and comfortable. The room is beautiful and huge and well kept by the room service everyday. The bathroom is huge with a huge bathtub which my kids love and the scenery is beautiful. ******* food delivery is also convenient as they got robot to send up. All in all, the room is very valuable for the price and i really love every single night in the hotel.

GGuest User👌Had a wonderful two night stay at this hotel. Relocated there after a booking mishap caused us to change hotels since the hotel we were staying at in the city became overbooked. We decided to move to this one since it was closer to the airport and we had an early morning flight originating from Binhai (2days after) 👌We had a beautiful room for a family of 3( business room)The room was exceptionally clean and also quite spacious. Facilities are excellent with an on-site laundry room that allows self-service. We didn’t have breakfast since we slept in. 👌Received a very warm welcome from Liu at the front desk, check in was smooth and quick. We had a small issue in the room about noise from upstairs but she resolved it and explained the reason why and apologised for the inconvenience. 👌In the morning, two of us had to return to Beijing for a meeting, the lovely and kind ladies on duty Pang, who spoke English and Wang helped us organise transportation to the airport so we could get the subway train ( there’s a direct subway to Tianjin railway station originating from the airport ) to Beijing. While we waited for the car, they offered us refreshments (tea and water) 👌The driver Wang was so kind and spoke English and helped advise us on the train schedules so we wouldn’t miss the train back since we were returning back from Beijing to Tianjin in the evening to stay the night and leave for our morning flight. 👌They also organised a pick up from the airport when we arrived back to Tianjin late at night to the hotel. 👌The stay was made awesome and comfortable due to the impeccable and excellent service, kindness and eye for detail shown by the staff. 🥳Kudos to Ms Pang, Ms Wang , Mr.Wang and Ms Liu who made our stay even more comfortable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👌The hotel is near the airport and is suitable for travellers who have flights at Tianjin International airport and want to avoid the commute from the city. There are restaurants downstairs as well if you arrive late and need a meal. Nearby surroundings looks like residential area so works for those looking for a quiet stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

MM227074****Excellent location, very close to the riverfront and the Ferris wheel, making it super convenient to get around. The hotel had diffusers, so the whole place smelled of oranges all day. It was New Year's Eve, so it was really busy, and I could only book the basic room, which was a bit small. Next time, I'll definitely book a larger room.

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated in the suburbs, but there is a metro station within 500 m from the hotel. It will take you about 1.5 h to get to the city center by metro or about 50 minutes by taxi (DiDi). Neat the metro there is a big shopping center where you can find everything you may potentially need (those desserts from Holiland are amazing!) The breakfast is very tasty and you can definitely find something tasty to eat both from local cuisine as well as some Western-style things. The room was clean and spacious. I enjoyed the stay and had a possibility to relax.
