The pension is easy to find, and staff are very helpful. Beds are comfortable; coffee and tea are available; everything is clean. The only difficulty might be is there is only one bathroom for all the guests. We were here in low season, so didn't have much difficulty, but I can imagine problems in the high season. The pension is in the old part of San Sebastian, so visiting the most picturesque parts is easy, as is visiting nearby villages. Local food is excellent. I highly recommend this pension; excellent value for your money. It's the best base for exploring this part of the Basque Country.

The hotel room is very spacious with great comfort beds. The front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the travelers spots, cafes and restaurants nearby, and also close to Abandon train station to other Spain cities.

Exceeded my expectations, it's much better than what the reviews suggested. The location is excellent, right next to the Shell Beach, although the hotel doesn't offer a view of it. The shower in the bathroom has strong water pressure. The room has large windows, and while there might be some noise issues as others mentioned, earplugs can easily solve that. The room itself is also quite spacious. Breakfast was good too. When booking, I requested two single beds, and the hotel paid attention to my preference, unlike other places that often get the bed type wrong. This was a pleasant surprise.

It was a pleasant stay, parking is free and easy scross the road which is a bonus. Although this place is attached to another hotel which is much more impressive, it makes you jealous you are not there!

The hotel has many great things, amazing location, very aesthetic, clean and helpful staff. I also found the cafe downstairs to be great! The only thing is the acoustics. I could not sleep either night I stayed there, I could hear the people from the other rooms talking on the phone as if they were in my same room. Could hear absolutely everything, and both nights my neighbours kept me up until 2+ am. I did communicate this to the hotel staff and they were very kind and helpful and helped me ask gently to my neighbours to be quiet. I would give this hotel a 3/5 only because of the acoustic problem, everything else was great.

If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle, this location might just suit you — provided you’re comfortable with being quite far from anything of note. That said, it’s not entirely cut off; there’s a bus stop directly outside with services running roughly every 15 and 30 minutes, which does make getting around manageable. The setting is quiet and relaxing, with a pleasant bar on-site and a decent selection of tapas, which added a nice touch to the evenings. However, there were a few drawbacks during our stay. The television in the room didn’t work at all — unsure if it was just the batteries in the remote or a more serious issue, but we couldn’t get any power to it, which was a shame. Breakfast was tidy and kept us going, but it did become repetitive after a couple of days. The pastries in particular were a bit disappointing — rather dry and not the freshest. Overall, it’s a good spot if you value tranquillity and can cope with a bit of isolation. With reliable transport links it offers a relaxing base, albeit with room for improvement in a few areas. There is a confidence shop and a bar that does food about 10 mins walk away and playground for children mostly in neighbourhood of homes though.

The staff were welcoming and especially attentive to our arrival with our 2-year-old son. The breakfast was very comprehensive, and the staff were friendly. Our only slight complaint was that the room was a little warm, and we couldn't seem to adjust the ventilation. We would still recommend this hotel.

**”BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'”** Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room. At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed. However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded. I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day. Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better. The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room. While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests. In the end, we ended up paying the €25. **Beware of the 'Upgrade.'”**

The room was very nice, with a high-end feel, and a welcome champagne was provided. The front desk service is enthusiastic, helping to make restaurant reservations and providing various information. It's a little regrettable that there is no big mirror in the room, so I can't take a look at my whole body. I don’t know how celebrities would react if they tried on clothes without a full-length mirror when they came to stay.

Beautiful hotel, amazing facilities to work from, one of the best gyms that I’ve been to, it would have been so much more seamless if parking, gym etc were included in the price. Especially if the pool provided by the gym is not available, not having to pay for the gym one would make more sense
