Renting and returning cars in California is very convenient. Having gotten used to driving electric cars at home, driving a typical American gasoline car feels like falling behind a generation. Chevrolet cars lack smart features, the steering wheel is heavy, starting is sluggish, the navigation is outdated, and fuel consumption is high. Electric vehicle penetration in California is very low, probably less than 1%. There are more electric vehicles in San Francisco, but the penetration rate is definitely below double digits. Moreover, Tesla dominates the American electric vehicle market; other brands are almost nowhere to be seen. No wonder the US government is so reluctant to allow Chinese cars to enter the market; given the current competitive landscape, it's safe to say that Chinese automakers will achieve a crushing victory.

Connecting the phone to the car's navigation via Bluetooth was very difficult. Just two minutes after we got the car, it showed a tire problem. We called the agent for help and they said we could exchange the car near the hotel. But when we went to the store the next day, they said they couldn't return it to us and insisted that we drive to the airport to exchange it.
