The general experience was good. In considered the stay a bit expensive for Ecuador (79$ for two days incl breakfast). One of the reasons I chose this hotel is because of free drinking water. However, the water is positioned in a way that you can fill up only small cups. So I still had to buy a lot of water bottles outside, which made my stay more expensive than expected. The pool area is beautiful. Service was nice. Location close to the center, I could explore the main tourist attractions (La perla, Malecon, Cementery) by foot. The breakfast is kind of a surprise, you can choose betweeen American and Local. I prefered the local one, the Banana tasted amazing. In advance of my stay I asked for an early check-in at 8 clock, which apparently was not possible. However, my room was ready at about 10.30. Wifi was excellent. Shower had lots of warm water. No mosquito net at the windows and it was not possible to close the windows in my completely.

Great location next to Parque Seminario, the park with the iguanas. Not far from the modern waterfront promenade. We also felt safe in the evenings due to the strong security presence.

Recommended if you are traveling. Service: The service is very good. It is the only hotel in Guayaquil that has a waiter at the front desk to help you carry your luggage to the room. The hotel is about 3 minutes by car from the airport and about 5 minutes from the Mall del Sol. The staff at the reception (and also on the phone before my arrival) has been incredibly friendly and helpful: thank you so much! The room was big, full of light, very clean and comfortable. The free shuttle service from and to the airport is a handy and welcome treat. All in all, great hotel.

There is also a supermarket called Mini nearby to buy food and daily necessities, but there are many restaurants suitable for Chinese people.
