Really nice resort. Clean, modern, several beautiful pools which were never very full and the staff is incredible. They help in any way they can, including arranging for a last minute boat tour for us well outside of their usual hours and seemed happy to make it work (add the guides they work with are fantastic too). It was a very peaceful and comfortable stay overall.
The one issue is the food, they put a lot of effort into it and have a very large breakfast buffet every day, but the food just isn’t that good. There's one restaurant in the resort and there aren’t many (any?) other food options in the area, so it’s pretty relevant. The food is a bit bland or with strange flavor combinations. And worse, it takes a comically long time to get served, even if just a sandwich, and it’s usually cold when it comes. This happened at all 4 of the meals we had there outside of breakfast.
But... It honestly didn't bother us that much. Partly bc we're not big foodies, but more importantly, bc the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone goes out if the way to make sure you get everything you want and then some. I hope they can fix the food issues and this place would be 5 star
Room is good, Service is excellent -Staff are all very accommodating and they all wear smiles, specially the Front desk Personnel. restaurant is excellent -the food is an A+, you don’t need to go out to find comfort food it’s all in there. Location wise, 15mins away from the town proper but it’s all good, tricycles are available anytime.
Vicinity is romantic when it comes at night, with relaxing sound of the band- i would prefer band that plays acoustic though.
Overall it’s a 5 star rating for me..
will definitely come back 🤩
Cleanliness: 9/10
The room was clean, nice, and tidy. The pillows, bedsheets, and blankets smelled freshly laundered, and the floor and furniture were spotless. Cleanliness is highly maintained not just inside the room, but also in the hallways and other public areas. They do housekeeping every day, change the towels regularly, and always make sure your hygiene kit is fully stocked.
The only issue I had was on my first day—the room wasn’t prepared according to my request, possibly due to an oversight. I had to be transferred to another room, and while it didn’t smell very pleasant at first, it was still clean overall.
Location: 10/10
If you're looking for a peaceful place with a great view but still not too far from the city center, this is perfect! It’s not far from the airport and is surrounded by restaurants, drugstores are near, small stores for cheap things to buy, nearby malls, and groceries—but then the area isn’t crowded. It strikes a great balance between convenience and tranquility.
Btw, if you are just travelling for leisure (DIY),renting a motor to go around is much cheaper than getting a tricycle
Service: 10/10
I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days, traveling alone. The staff made me feel really comfortable and were always ready to help with anything I needed—from check-in to check-out. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Filipino hospitality was truly evident here (Im a Filipino). Special shoutout to the restaurant staff who served breakfast and other meals—they were always smiling, friendly, and attentive.
Amenities: 10/10
Everything was in excellent condition and worked perfectly. I especially appreciated the free airport shuttle—it was very helpful and convenient. Since I was also attending to some paperwork during my stay, I was happy to be able to relax and enjoy the amenities in between.
Definitely worth the price. I’ll surely come back!
The room was basic, but for the price paid it was fine. The shampoo in the bathroom was empty during my nights stay which was a shame.
My biggest issue was the cleanliness of the communal areas. The tiled floors were filthy and covered in clumps of hair and dead insects. Inside the room, cleanliness was better, but there was still stains and marks on furniture and the walls.
Staff were kind and allowed me to have my breakfast at a later time than I’d booked.
We enjoyed our stay at Two Seasons Coron. It was close to town proper and there available tuktuks outside the whole which was convenient. If you want to open the curtains and enjoy some sunlight, book facing the sea. Ours was by the road so every time we step out so hang something, we have an audience lol This is something I will consider again next time but over all, it was a pleasant stay.
Please change your hand bar soap to just a bottle soap, for sustainability purposes. They already have shampoo, body wash and lotion and refillable bottles which was good to see. Bar soaps dont finish in 3 days, and a shame thinking were it will end up after use. Thanks!
I had such a great experience staying at Hue Hotels and Resorts El Nido. The location is super convenient, it’s close to everything! Restaurants, shops, and the starting points for island-hopping tours are all just a short walk or tricycle ride away, which made getting around really easy.
The best part for me was the rooftop. The view from up there is stunning — you can see the dramatic limestone cliffs and surrounding greenery. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a day of island tours or to catch the sunset with a drink in hand.
The hotel itself is modern and stylish, but still feels relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly and always happy to help, which made the stay even better.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, accessible place to stay in El Nido with amazing views and a great location, Hue is a solid choice. I’d definitely come back.
The hotel is really nice with a pool, palm trees, clean corridors, and friendly staff. The location is a little out of the way and you'll find yourself needing to catch a trike to the town as the walk can be far, but this is not much of an issue as it only costs about 50 pesos. If you find yourself having breakfast here, be careful as the food is not warm/hot leading me to believe they either prepare it early and let it sit for a while, or prepare it the day before. The double bedroom is rather small but shouldn't be an issue if all you want to do is sleep. But I would definitely invest extra money to get a bedroom with its own comfort room rather than going for shared facilities. Good value for the price and I would still recommend.
Just okay. If you’re looking for somewhere to rest I suggest you find another place. It’s close to the highway and is pretty much noisy all the time. In addition to that, the housing cleaning staff are also VERY NOISY. They start working very early in the morning and I know this by the loud chatter in the hallway every single morning. At random times throughout the night you’ll also hear hear loads of outbursts as well. Just very noisy, almost no peace. Breakfast was okay. The receptionist, the server and the driver were quite nice
Excellent customer service, starting from Front Office Desk and assistants, Breakfast staff and Pool/Beach assistants. Everyone was very accommodating, e.g. arranging transportation at the very last minute. always extend beyond what we asked. Plenty of amenities from gym/game room to beach activities. Pool and beach area were well maintained, clean everyday. Would book again and recommend to friends.

Aannaleah lacotoOne night at Astoria Palawan is simply not enough! I had an amazing time during my short stay and truly believe that at least 5 days are needed to fully enjoy everything the resort has to offer—especially the Astoria Waterpark, which is fun, exciting, and well-maintained.The entire resort atmosphere is peaceful and beautifully kept, perfect for relaxing or adventure-filled days.
The buffet dinner was very delicious—great variety and flavors! The fire dance performance—it was absolutely mesmerizing and added a magical touch to the evening.
However, I noticed the breakfast buffet lacked halal-friendly options. I had only chicken adobo, egg, and fish only. Most of the main dishes, including the soup and hotdogs, contained pork, which may be a concern for Muslim or halal-conscious guests. I hope they consider offering more inclusive meal options in the future.
Special thanks to Ms. Princess Gaflu at the front desk for her warm and professional service, and Alonso, the attendant at the waterpark, who went above and beyond to guide me, take photos and videos, and make me feel welcome. His friendly attitude made my experience even more memorable!
If I didn’t have prior appointments in Manila, I would have stayed longer—and I definitely will next time! For me, Palawan means Astoria. Not El Nido. Just Astoria. It’s the best place to stay in the province—hands down!
Can’t wait to come back.
GGuest UserThe resort is in a great location with a small but quiet beach and a nice house reef outside. Beware that some units require walking up a lot of steps and the ones set away from the beach have a lot of mosquitoes around.
The staff are super friendly and nice although the service of the hotel could be more attentive i.e when lying on the beach you don’t get asked if you want drinks. Room cleaning was only done once in our 7 day stay and only because we asked for it. Towels are not automatically offered to beach goers all the time.
The restaurant is pretty slow with almost an hour for food to arrive sometimes. The food itself can be nice depending on what you order. Some is pretty good actually…others a bit average.
Pricewise, this isn’t a cheap hotel and I feel that if you compare the price to resorts in other tropical beach locations around the world, you get much better service in other places like Sheratons, Marriotts and Hiltons etc. that said, overall I would still recommend Matinloc for the great beach and reef.

PptrNot my favourite hotel. Good location for those travelling to El Nido. Towels were very old and not nice. The view from our window was terrible with so sort of old, unnecessary items thrown away right in from the window- huge mess!
MMarshieGot it! Here’s your revised review, keeping the original friendly tone while clarifying the tour offerings and distance to attractions like Honda Bay and the Underground River:

**A Perfect Tropical Escape – Carpe Diem Villas Exceeded Expectations!**
From the moment we arrived at Carpe Diem Villas, we were treated like VIPs! The staff welcomed us with refreshing drinks and big smiles, instantly setting the tone for a relaxing and memorable stay. The check-in process was smooth, and we immediately felt at home in this beautiful, tranquil retreat.
Our villa was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed—combining modern comforts with a cozy tropical vibe. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved having a private balcony where we could unwind with a cup of coffee in the mornings or a glass of wine in the evenings. The pool area was another highlight—serene, well-maintained, and perfect for lounging under the Palawan sun.
While the villa is located in Puerto Princesa city (not near far-flung attractions like the Underground River or Honda Bay), the hotel made exploring easy by offering convenient tours to these must-see spots - from city tours to island-hopping adventures, ensuring that we can experience the best of Palawan without the stress of planning. Their recommendations for local restaurants and hidden gems were also spot-on!
What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond—always attentive, friendly, and ready to help with anything we needed. Their warmth and professionalism made our stay feel extra special.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-appointed retreat with outstanding service and easy access to tours (even to faraway attractions!), Carpe Diem Villas is the perfect choice.
KKurzaThe hotel itself was lovely and the food was good. However, we found the roosters next to the hotel to be very inappropriate and disturbing. We could not sleep properly because they are noisy all through the night. There is no way to block the noise out.
We were able to switch rooms, which helped, but if the hotel is running at full occupancy it will be a problem. About 24 rooms are affected by the noise the roosters make. It is a pity that roosters on a plot next to the hotel causes plenty of discomfort for guests. If I was the owner of this hotel, I would certainly do something about the roosters.
GGuest UserMy experience at Princesa Garden was beyond my expectations.
To be honest, I was a bit worried at first because I had read a review saying the resort wasn’t nice and had many issues, especially due to ongoing renovations. But when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised—it was actually very nice!
The resort was clean, the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The food was great—yes, it was a bit pricey because of the added VAT and service charge, but it was delicious, so it was worth it.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! 😊

GGuest UserI was super satisfied with my two nights on the island. My time seemed to have been slowed down. I even felt like I had stayed there for three or four days~
On the first day we arrived, we couldn't check in until 3:00, so we chose to go directly. You were very lucky to see turtles, a lot of fish, and clown fish. The weather was not very good later, so we didn't Success, I was in a daze at the beach, and sleeping was really comfortable~
The ecology of the entire island is still very good. There are many large lizards and some small animals such as hermit crabs and other small crabs. Overall it is very good!
The food is pretty good, although I personally think it's a bit expensive hahaha
If the waves are not too big, there are still many facilities to play on the island, including mountain climbing, boating, and snorkeling. Both adults and children should have a great time!
And the cutest thing is that they will feed you snacks from the moment you get on the boat, and they will also feed you in the hotel, which is very cute~
