The staff particularly at reception and in cleaning were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located towards the end of a busy street which has good shopping but the downside is the traffic noise you get with a popular street.
The hotel itself is quite dated, it needs more attention to cleaning and just more love all around.
The breakfast was basic but the fresh eggs made while you wait were great!
The mosquito fogging in the arvies was not very healthy and to be honest did nothing to help the mosquitos buzzing around our room that night. Bring your Cinnabalm or mossie cream!
It definitely wasn't a favourite of ours, but with some better beds, more care in cleaning and some more vibrancy, life and better breaky this hotel could really thrive. It was like a ghost town waiting for someone to come in and just love it more. The staff did their best I'm sure though. Maybe some frangipani's on the made beds each day to bring some fragrance in, a good scrub of those baths, some mats instead of the cardboard at the base of the steps, some tour offers, activities offers etc, and more life around reception and just some more general care and attention to detail throughout the hotel would be a 4 1/2 star easily.

My partner and I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. I purchased breakfast daily and upgraded to have a bathtub. We were disappointed about the bathtub and didn't end up using it. It looks old and dirty. The breakfast was not very appealing, the only that was good was eggs that was cooked to order.
We considered changing hotel but didn't end up changing. The location is at the bottom end of Seminyak.
Toiletries were not included and you must ask for a hair dryer at the front desk.
There is a great supermarket nearby so you can get good supplies there.

I rented 2 rooms for the last night in Bali after returning from Ubud to catch the 11:30 am return bus to Yogyakarta to avoid traffic jam on Saturday and possible delay caused by the rain season. I was given two rooms close to each other and did not have to undergo lengthy check-in procedures as the hotel still had my previous reservation information. The staff was friendly and very helpful. As mentioned in my previous comment, mini markets, laundromats, stationery store,and warungs are all within 3-minutes walking distance from the hotel.

Great Stay Again!
We’ve been to this hotel at least 4 times in the last 4 years. The staff is kind & friendly. Our room is spotless. They have the most comfortable bed and pillows. The grounds are nice and lush. Very Balinese style hotel. Nice pool. It’s warm:)
The breakfast is very nice with eggs made to order, fruit, toast, coffee, juice and Indonesian choices. Location is excellent, close to everything. We will always be back!

At first we stayed at Downstairs villa, we got a very tired room, with its own janitor. Almost no access to daylight and high humidity. Later we moved to another room, which was noticeably cheaper, it turned out to be light, cleaner and more pleasant. The pool is simply magical. Overall we are happy, despite the abundance of all kinds of insects.
