Amazing
AAModernMusafirI recently stayed at Souphattra Hotel in Vientiane during the Songkran festival for my birthday, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is newly opened and the property feels fresh, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Its central location makes it very convenient for getting around the city. The rooms are of a decent size and come well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, making the stay comfortable. The breakfast spread was decent, while not very extensive, it was sufficient and satisfying. One of the highlights of the hotel is definitely the pool area, which is well done and enjoyable. I also particularly liked the rooftop bar; it has a great vibe and was a nice place to unwind. The staff deserve special mention, they were well-trained, professional, and attentive throughout the stay. The only slight disappointment was regarding my birthday. I had informed the hotel in advance via email that I would be celebrating it during my stay. While I understand not all hotels go out of their way for such occasions, many properties usually acknowledge it in some small way, so I did feel it was missed here. That said, everything else was top-notch, and I would still recommend the hotel for a comfortable and well-located stay in Vientiane.

FFitria LingStayed at Ibis Vientiane and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is located right in the heart of town, making it very convenient to explore nearby restaurants, cafes, and attractions. The room was relatively spacious compared to many budget hotels, and the bed was very comfortable, allowing for a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and provided good service throughout the stay. Areas for Improvement: The hotel seems to prioritize energy conservation, but the lighting in both the room and common areas is quite dim. At times, it felt a little uncomfortable, especially during the evening. Another issue was the wall power outlets, which were rather loose and flimsy. They could not properly support my heavy-duty travel adapter, so I had to improvise by using a bottle to hold it in place while charging. Slippers are not provided in the room by default and need to be requested separately. While the staff were helpful, having to contact reception and collect them added a bit of inconvenience. Overall: A comfortable and well-located hotel with good service and decent room size. With brighter lighting and improved power outlets, the stay would be even better. 4/5 stars.

AAModernMusafirI stayed at Settha Palace Hotel during my visit to Vientiane, and overall, it was a decent experience with a mix of positives and areas for improvement. The hotel’s location is definitely one of its biggest strengths. It’s right in the middle of everything, close to the river and within easy reach of the main Songkran celebration areas, which made getting around very convenient. The property itself has a charming Lao-French colonial style. While it is an older hotel, it has been maintained reasonably well and retains a certain classic character. The staff were excellent, professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, which added positively to the stay. However, the room was somewhat disappointing. While the minibar was well stocked, basic amenities were missing, not even essentials like a toothbrush or shampoo were provided, which was surprising for a hotel of this category. There were also some maintenance issues: the bathroom had leaking pipes, and the air conditioning wasn’t working initially, though to their credit, they promptly sent a technician to fix it. The pool area is visually quite pleasant, surrounded by greenery, giving it a relaxing vibe. That said, there were quite a few frogs around the pool, which became a bit irritating. While I personally didn’t mind, some other guests, especially European travelers, were clearly uncomfortable. Overall, it’s a good property with great location and strong potential, but it could significantly improve with better room maintenance and attention to guest amenities.

MmisukanEvery time I have a layover in Vientiane, Laos, I stay here. The shuttle service is incredibly convenient. The breakfast starting at 6:30 AM also gives me enough time to catch my domestic flight from the airport. I'll definitely keep staying here in the future. This time I got a membership card that I can recycle, but I'm not sure how to use it?

GGuest UserOverall, my stay was fantastic. The hotel's location is super convenient with tons of dining options nearby. The room was spotless, cozy, and the bedding was so comfortable, I slept like a baby. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and handled both check-in and check-out very efficiently. Breakfast had a great variety and tasted good too. Definitely great value for money. I'd absolutely choose to stay here again if I get the chance!

GGuest UserThe room is excellent. Very spacious, nice balcony and good size bathroom. Unfortunately the door to the balcony was not fitting right, so there was always a 1-2 cm gap either on the left or the right side. That way it got hot very quick. The wifi in our room was basically non-existent, so be prepared to have a lot of mobile data if you want to do anything from just searching the internet to streaming a movie. The location ist fine, about a 20 minute walk to the more busy area. The breakfast was horrible. We arrived in the middle of service, and everything was ice cold. The toast had a very bad taste and was squished, rice, eggs, protein and other things were cold. We mentioned it to the staff, who took our plates and microwaved them. We didn't eat a single bite, and went to some of the very nice bakeries near the center which are excellent. The hotel seems to be a hotel for large Chinese travel groups, which were very loud, tried breaking into our room (likely they mixed it up but didn't speak enough English to explain themself). For the room it is a great value for money, but don't count in the breakfast in any way, and be prepared to be disturbed by Chinese travel groups.

GGuest UserThe hotel is right next to the mall, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. I fell in love with this place after just one day. The restaurant food was delicious, especially perfect for my Chinese palate. The room facilities were well-equipped and clean, the bedding was comfortable and soft, and the decor was very stylish. The room even had a balcony, which was fantastic for enjoying the breeze and scenery at night. My absolute favorite part was the rooftop open-air swimming pool; the water was clean and odor-free. My stay here was absolutely amazing, highly recommended – you won't be disappointed!
