Our visit started well with a friendly member of staff on the reception desk however the room was disappointing. The toilet seat was broken, the sink plug did not stay in, there was mould in the shower and the shower leaked from the hose below the shower head. The bed was extremely uncomfortable along with the pillows. The kettle lid did not stay in place making pouring out boiling water dangerous. The room was really hot and no fan provided. On several occasions, I ventured down to reception to speak to someone but there was never anyone there. We were told we did not need to book breakfast however a member of staff spoke rudely to us upon entering the bar in the morning - telling us, staying in the hotel did not mean we automatically had breakfast included. We knew this, hence we tried to book. They did apologise for the rudeness at a later stage. Breakfast was limited in terms of choice and long wait times as it seemed not enough food cooked. Coffee was a single pot on the bar which served only a few cups. This caused massive delays. A kettle was placed on the bar to boil the water yourself for tea. Breakfast seemed amateurish and well below the standard you would expect. Despite the fact we were travelling with a small baby, we were put on the first floor with no lift available. Disappointing as we obviously needed a ground floor room to prevent us having to lug a buggy up and down the stairs. Treacherous steps leading down to the car park - uneven and narrow. Not conducive to families with buggies at all. Overall, a disappointing experience and I would not recommend staying here.
