Stayed at The Standard Bangkok and really enjoyed the room—super comfy bed and pillows, with an amazing city view and the housekeeping team was excellent, keeping the room clean and comfortable. A definite highlight of the stay was the complimentary Sky Bar visit on the 78th floor, which offers absolutely stunning views of the Bangkok skyline.

Unfortunately, the check-in experience was a letdown. Despite 7–8 staff at the counters at the point of check in, it took almost 45 minutes to get checked in—not what you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre.

Also worth noting: the hotel requires a 12,000 baht deposit even if you’ve fully paid for your stay, and the refund takes 2–4 weeks to process by credit card. That’s unnecessarily long and inconvenient.

Overall, a mixed experience. The stay itself was lovely, but the front desk process and deposit policy definitely need improvement.

Hotel is conveniently located on the riverside and is a great launchpad to explore the old parts of Bangkok i.e. Khaosan, Chinatown. Rooms are functional but the real star would be the public spaces that features an art gallery and also riverside restaurant. Will highly recommend for anybody that would like to focus a day or two in the area away from the CBD.

It’s my second tjme here. Staffs were welcoming and special shoutout to K. Pawi from Thailand. She’s the most accommodating and caring staff! She made my whole stay so much better. 

Regarding the room i saw a few ants in the room on the couch but apart from that all good.

You can tell after Hyatt took over the service, food and quite a few more things changed (not for the better)

We stayed here for our honeymoon and everything was beyond expectation! 

Originally booked the Standard room but the lovely staff Pueng surprised us with an upgrade to a Deluxe room such a sweet gesture.

The room was beautifully set up with balloons and a cake, super super cute and thoughtful! 

The whole vibe of the resort is just perfect for relaxing, meditating, or simply unwinding. You can really feel the calm energy everywhere from the design to the staff’s service mind. Definitely a place worth investing in for your next recharge trip.
