Close to the airport, convenient shuttle service with yellow bus. 
No elevator to second floor rooms, however staff can help to carry up the luggage.
Restaurant on site and vending machine with drinks, water dispenser available too.

Have stayed here before and find it the best value for a place to stay overnight close to the airport with a free shuttle. Reception staff pleasant on arrival and departure. Didn't use the restaurant for dinner or breakfast but looks nice. Would stay here again if the price remains lower than other options.

My husband and I stayed in VR hotel for 7 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff Thea who attended to us on the day of our check-in was friendly and helpful. What I like best about the hotel is it has a small well equipped kitchen. There's a microwave, a stove, an oven, a dish washing machine, a fridge and a washing machine. However the washing machine was broken but it was ok as the hotel will wash and dry your clothes free of charge. The location of the hotel is good with many restaurants around. The sky tower is just a short walk away. This hotel allows me to live like a New Zealander, buying provisions and cooking my own meals.👍

The reception staff was good namely Aaime, the rooms were good, had some issues but sorted out, satisfaction wasn't there, the restaurant latitude staff punit  was friendly.

The rooms are spotlessly clean, with soft, plush bedding, making for an exceptional stay. The breakfast spread is rich and varied, with delicious options that cater to diverse tastes. Its prime location offers convenient transportation, with an abundance of attractions and dining options nearby. The staff are warm, friendly, and highly responsive; their meticulous and exceptionally detailed service is truly impressive. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this place is an excellent choice! The value for money is outstanding; it's truly worth every penny, and I highly recommend it to every traveler! I look forward to staying here again to experience this warmth and professionalism once more!

It has the best location, near a bus stop, walking distance to skye tower, Britomart station, albert park, Auckland fish market, viaduct and a lot more. I ended up not using my train card. They have a very friendly staff at reception.

As for the housekeeping, was not happy because they just fixed my bedsheets, throw trash but did not vacuum the floor and clean the toilet room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location near the CBD was convenient, the accommodations were clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The outside of the hotel looks a bit crappy but the room is neat and clean. 
The location is amazing because it is really super close to the airport and they offer shuttle service. 
Service was good but there was no reception and had to go to the motel next door, but the staff there was very helpful.

Very clean amenities, staff were very helpful. Community kitchen is a great idea and we’ll set out with all utensils needed to cook a meal. Would definitely recommend the Silver Fern to anybody.

The room is very spacious. During the Spring Festival, you can watch the Spring Festival Gala on yutube. The accommodation experience is very good and the location is also good. I will stay here again when I come to Christchurch in the future.
