Grindelwald Hotels with Breakfast

This hotel was very beautiful. The room was spacious and very clean. The view was so beautiful, waking up to the view of Eiger is really something else! One of our favorite things was definitely the spa and wellness area, especially the outdoor hot tub. There is just something special about being in warm water and it being very cold all around you. The steam from the hot water was really relaxing. The breakfast was really nice too but for CHF 35.- per person is a bit expensive in my opinion. Overall I can really recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in Grindelwald.☺️

## Environment The location is absolutely stunning, directly facing snow-capped mountains and a picturesque hillside. The view from our room window was simply gorgeous. It's also conveniently located right next to the train station, and you can even watch trains pass through the beautiful scenery. ## Facilities Although the hotel is historic, it's impeccably clean and well-maintained. It beautifully combines classic charm with modern conveniences. Parking is available but costs 25 CHF per day. ## Service Overall, the service was quite good. However, on our second day, housekeeping didn't replenish our complimentary water bottles, seemingly because we hadn't finished the ones from the previous day. When we finished them and called reception for more, we were initially told there would be a charge. After we explained that the water hadn't been refilled during cleaning, they promptly sent some up free of charge. Interestingly, the mini-bar drinks are complimentary. On a lighter note, the cleaning staff accidentally left a cleaning cloth behind, haha! Each of us also received a complimentary voucher for the evening lounge, redeemable for a drink while enjoying live piano music – a really nice touch. The pool was wonderfully empty, but unfortunately, the sauna was out of order that day.

The hotel is located high up on a hill, offering great views on a clear day. It's also very close to Grindelwald station. Before check-in, the owner emailed me to fill out my personal information in advance, but it was a bit tricky to do, so I figured it would be easier to just fill it out at the front desk when I arrived. However, when I got there, the lady at the front desk was quite displeased and deliberately made me wait for a long time, claiming that if I had completed the online form beforehand, I wouldn't have caused such a delay. All in all, despite that, it's a charming local chalet with beautiful weather and scenery, making for a great experience.

This place is truly the best! Since it operates as both a hostel and a hotel, the lobby and breakfast facilities are exceptionally well-maintained. Most importantly, it's right next to the Grindelwald Terminal and directly connected via the parking lot access. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the view of the Eiger North Face is absolutely stunning... There's a stream flowing right beside it, and even a resident cat! While the shower facilities are a bit of a walk, there are plenty of stalls, and a separate area to keep your belongings dry, plus hairdryers are provided. The communal kitchen allows for everything except using open flames, so you can stock up at the Coop supermarket and cook here! It's genuinely the best. Just one tiny regret though – I really wish the dormitory rooms had curtains, even just small ones, that would make it perfect. Haha.

The hotel location couldn’t have been better. Just a short stroll from Grindelwald train station, the hotel sits right in the heart of the village, with shops and a supermarket practically at the doorstep. It made exploring the Jungfrau region effortless — whether hopping on a train to the mountain passes or simply wandering through the charming streets. What really stood out was how well the hotel is equipped. The amenities went beyond what I expected, even compared to my previous stay at an upscale property in Lucerne. Breakfast was sumptuous . Each morning, we enjoyed a generous spread in a bright breakfast room with lovely views of the surrounding peaks. Overall, Hotel Central Wolter offers good value for money. It combines convenience, comfort, and a touch of charm.

Best part of my Europe trip! Firstly, the location is really good, it is right beside the Grindelwald Terminal station, which is really well connected to all the tourist spots of the Jungfrau region and also the Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen areas. The view was the best part of the stay. Shoutout to Benjamin! He got us Room 301, from which the Eiger North Face was right in front of the room balcony. The room was really good too, a bunk bed and 2 single beds. One thing you should know is that the shower area has no door lol. Amenities were just a hand soap and a body wash. They have laundry machines for 5CHF, a great breakfast spread, a community hall with billiards table and a mini kitchen. There's also a great grill and bar restaurant open till 9pm. There's a Coop in the terminal, but it closes by 7pm, had all the essentials. I'm definitely coming back to Eiger Lodge Chic and asking Benjamin for a room!

The hotel is on the way to the First cable car, Bort station, more than 1,600 meters above sea level, from the Grindelwald train station by car, about 20 minutes, the mountain trail 18 bends, test the car skills but the scenery is beautiful, the snow mountain is in front of you. It is said that the navigation information of Apple Map is not allowed, and it is very crazy to ask for help from the hotel. Finally, it depends on Baidu map (the domestic SIM card cannot be used on Google). We have 2 big 2 small booking triple rooms (the youngest is only 3 years old), there is no problem with staying. The room is not luxurious but clean and comfortable. Dinner is good, 4 people 80 yuan to get. There is a children's playground next to them and the children have a great time. In short, the scenery is first-class, self-driving is still convenient and comfortable, recommended.

The helpful reviews are accurate. Awesome room view and great service from all staff. We have two adults and one child and they connected two single beds and provided and extra bed. I would say just book (level 4 lifestyle room) with a peace of mind and do remember to bring your own toiletries.

This is an accommodation that made me cry and laugh during my trip to Switzerland :) First of all, if you look at the facilities, it is clean and nice since it was recently opened. There was an elevator and a kitchen available, but there were almost no dishes or appliances. There was no problem with cooking at all. The location is a very far walk from Grindelwald Station, or a short bus ride away. 🌟Throw away the idea of ​​walking with your luggage on the first day.🌟 This is a vertical hike that you can never climb without carrying your luggage. Be sure to check the bus schedule before taking the bus (it's convenient to use the SBB app). Your accommodation will give you a Grindelwald guest card, so you can ride the bus for free. (I had a Jungfrau VIP coupon, so I didn’t use it.) The reasons I cried were: 1) As soon as I arrived, there was no one, so I called and waited for about an hour, but no one answered and didn't come. There were people staying, so I had to wait in the lobby. I had another number on my laptop, so I called, but no one answered. 2) While I was waiting, a man called and asked why I was calling. When I told him I wanted to check in, he said I was fully booked for today, so what did I mean? I told him my reservation number and he said he would understand. Later, he came running in from outside and asked for my passport. Didn't say a single word of apology. (I was very angry here.) Anyway, in conclusion, he said that there was a reservation history on Trip.com but not in his system, so he had me check it and said he would do something about it since there were no rooms available. However, his attitude was not that he was sorry and was trying to do something, but rather that he was annoyed with me. 3) In the end, they gave us our room keys condescendingly, as if they had made it very difficult for us to get a room, and we were very upset that they were sorry for waiting for an hour and that there was no compensation, but we wanted to rest in the room quickly, so we brought the keys up. However, as shown in the picture, they gave me a room without a terrace... Obviously, the room I paid for had a terrace on the reservation screen, and I made the reservation with that in mind, so when I went to argue with them, they said that the room I had reserved was that room. (I was told that it was given to me because I had created a room, but when I went down and inquired, I found out that the room was originally assigned...) 4) Then, while showing a picture of the reservation screen on 'Booking.com', he enthusiastically emphasizes that the room may or may not have a terrace. The problem is that I paid through 'Trip.com' and the room type I booked on Trip.com is not available. All photos showed a terrace. When I said that, he got very angry and told me to cancel it for free and to leave if I didn't like it. To be honest, these words sounded very threatening to me, and I was so intimidated by the man's attitude that I was afraid that he might do something to me. I sometimes wonder if they are speaking in such a threatening manner because I am a woman and Asian. [I notified Booking.com's customer service center of my move, and now the reservation screen for the room I selected also includes a photo of a room without a terrace.] Anyway, for this reason, I started my trip to Switzerland very angry and depressed. ㅠ ㅠ This room does not have a terrace and has a tree view, as someone left in a Google review... lol Next time I go again, I think I'll just choose the room one level up because I'm worried about getting this room. Also, the toilet and bathroom were attached together, so it was shared by 3 rooms. Please note.

I ended up booking a hostel bed because it was the only option left, and honestly, I was dreading it beforehand. Little did I know, my 'dream hill' would turn into a 'nightmare hill'! So, I accidentally missed my train in Switzerland (maybe couldn't find it, or got off at the wrong stop), which meant a 30-60 minute delay... and then I missed the hostel's last bus. I thought, '15-minute walk, no big deal, a little uphill is fine.' But it wasn't just a simple uphill, it was an incredibly steep climb! Dragging a 40lb suitcase left me utterly defeated. The front desk guy was busy checking in other guests (yep, only one staff member there), so he couldn't come help me halfway up the mountain until after 10 PM. Big thanks to the Trip.com customer service who kept me company on the phone during that time (it was so quiet on the hillside, not a soul around)... When I finally got to the hostel, I found out it was mixed-gender dorms. First time sharing a room with a bunch of guys, scared me to death! 🤯 The snoring was... well, hilarious haha 😂. Still, I'm grateful. That luggage was seriously heavy; I spent 7 minutes hauling it up the mountain, completely exhausted and burnt out. The next day was my birthday, and the front desk guy, with a bright smile, wished me 'Happy birthday,' as if last night's nightmare had truly just been a dream.
