"The Chalet Jungfrau in Grindelwald has an amazing location; you can see the 'dreamy hillside' right outside, with expansive views and absolutely stunning scenery. It's a shame the main building's view is slightly less spectacular than the annex. Overall, it was very comfortable. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, leaving you fully satisfied and starting the day on a high note. The only minor downside is that the facilities are a bit old and dimly lit. Overall, it offers good value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see the 'dreamy hillside' and is looking for good value!"

Guest UserThe room was small but clean. The hotel is right next to the train station exit, and there's a bus terminal directly in front. Just a short walk down the hill diagonally opposite the hotel leads to a hiking trail towards the scenic Grund station. The hotel provided a free bus ticket for one stop, and I took the 123 bus which offered the most beautiful views. The restaurant on the ground floor was very busy, and a thin elderly lady working there was very enthusiastic and nice. It was a bit noisy at night due to many people drinking and chatting downstairs. Sitting on the large terrace on the 5th floor in the evening, enjoying the mountain view, was very pleasant.

Anonymous UserSuch a cute little hotel right by Grindelwald train station! Only thing is that it is up a really steep hill, no joke to climb up while dragging your luggage. Rooms were very roomy and clean. They kindly upgraded one of our rooms to a bigger room, which was really generous. Breakfast was simple but satisfying and delicious. There were cows at the patch of grass next to the hotel, which amused us greatly. Would recommend.

Every moment here was absolutely wonderful! They were very accommodating with my requests, all the staff were friendly, and the room was quiet, clean, and had an incredible view. The breakfast was also well-prepared, compact, and tasted excellent. It's close to the First cable car, there's a supermarket right in front, and it's not far to walk from Grindelwald station. If I go again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel. For all the Koreans traveling to Switzerland, if you go to Grindelwald, definitely try staying at this hotel!

Guest UserThe location is at Grindelwald Terminal, not Grindelwald village itself. This is basically the transfer point for Jungfraujoch, which is convenient if you're heading up there. However, there are no shops around, so it's quite desolate. It might suit those who prefer peace and quiet. If you want to go to First mountain, you'll need to take the train to the next stop. The good thing here is that the hotel is a short walk from the station, so you don't have to drag your luggage up any hills. If you're hoping to see the 'Dreamy Hillside' (Eiger North Face views), I'd recommend choosing a hotel closer to Grindelwald station. The shower drain was clogged; the water nearly overflowed onto the bathroom floor. Also, there's no fan in the room, so it could get quite stuffy and hot during the summer.

We stayed at Grindelwald for four nights. The hotel lobby offers complimentary coffee and tea, and outside of breakfast hours, the hotel restaurant is freely accessible to guests. You can use the microwave and induction cooker to prepare food, but you'll need to bring your own pots.
We dined at the restaurant next door five times in a row, and not once did we have a complaint. It seems 'white people food' didn't overwhelm our Chinese palates. A friendly tip: definitely don't order rice with Western meals; the undercooked rice in Switzerland is truly awful – we fell for it more than once.
The train and bus stations are just a two to three-minute walk from the hotel, making transportation incredibly convenient. Prices in Switzerland are exorbitant; a typical steak at a restaurant costs around 500, a fish dish about 400, and a bottle of sparkling water 85. For two meals a day, food alone can cost 1000 big bucks. Compared to back home, everything here is simply expensive.
The hotel provides luggage storage. After speaking with the front desk, they'll give you a key so you can store your luggage yourself, lock the door, and then return the key to the front desk.

QIANThe hotel is halfway up the hill, some distance from the Grindelwald center and the train station. The hotel also has a shuttle bus that can be transported. We are self-driving. There is free parking in the hotel. It is relatively close to the cable car station of the first mountain. There are not many types of breakfast at the hotel. But it is enough, the biggest feature is the scenery, so beautiful! Whether it is a room or a place to have breakfast, look out for the snowy mountain, if you come to grindelwald next time, you will stay here!

I went on a trip and the memories I stayed here were so good. It's fun to do nothing here. I watched the wonderful view in the morning and evening, and I made coffee, tea and food myself. I had a good time :-)

Guest UserThe facilities of this hotel are not the best, but the transportation is convenient, the decoration is comfortable and the scenery is excellent. From the Gridlewald train station, you can see the signs to the hotel and walk for 5 minutes. It’s just that there is a big slope in front of the hotel, pushing the luggage uphill or pulling the luggage downhill is a little laborious. Our room is facing the dreamy hillside, and the companion likes to sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise and sunset, which is very beautiful. Disposable slippers, soap, toothbrushes, etc. are not available in the room. You can prepare in advance and have a kettle. Surprisingly, we originally thought that the room rate did not include breakfast, and the boss told us that it included breakfast. Breakfast is simple, but it is delicious, like the croissant and yogurt of his family~

dcobra1981The hotel was far beyond our expectations. The hotel pictures on Ctrip really lowered the grade of this hotel. The hotel is invincible. Our room has a 180-degree balcony with an invincible view, the side of the balcony (Figure 1), the front of the balcony and the view from the restaurant (Figures 2-4). After all, it is such a noble place, and psychologically I am afraid that the waiters will be arrogant. As a result, the hotel staff provided invincible service. The child wanted to add a sofa bed, which was immediately made. The dinner added cheese for 15 Swiss francs, and the waiter introduced various cheeses to the child in detail (eat as you like). I rarely ate vegetables along the way, but I ordered a large plate of vegetables here, and they customized a grilled vegetable for us the next day. Various dishes are also delicious. Although the price of 4,500 per night is expensive, it is a bit more expensive for a family of three with a 12-year-old child, but this view and service are absolutely worth it.
