Macdonald Frimley Hall Hotel and Spa

Absolutely fabulous hotel. First class in every way. A warm welcome from Carmen at the reception. Excellent huge suite 302. Extremely clean and well maintained . Lovely large bathroom. Room service exceptional. Food delicious. Pool lovely and clean . The spa was amazing. Extremely professional massage by Monica. She was totally amazing. Could not fault this hotel or its staff. They are all a real credit to the MacDonald group. We only found this hotel by chance. We had previously booked the Lensbury Hotel and Spa but checked in and out within 90 minutes because it was awful. Was going to drive all the way home but pulled in by the side of the road and looked for an alternative. What a significant difference in hotels. I would recommend the Frimley to everyone and the Lensbury to no one. Will definately go back to the Frimley. Totally amazing place. We were wanting to get away because we have both been under so much stress recently. The Lensbury just added stress , the Frimley melted it away. Thank you for being so lovely to us. Can’t wait to return.

Had a lovely relaxing time. Great facilities and very welcoming staff, the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in. The breakfast was excellent to with a great selection!

Significant queue at checking in, however the complimentary drink whilst waiting was appreciated. Also a further queue when checking out this morning, which wasn't great

Old original building in beautiful condition. Very picturesque no wonder there are so many weddings there.

We came for my youngest daughter's 10th birthday celebrations along with a trip to Legoland, even though the chap at reception was super helpful and professional,the promise of a special dinner/breakfast birthday celebration for her,this was not fulfilled. I do think that a Special Request particularly for a child should be followed through however small, but unfortunately this really let me down. Please do not promise a "fuss" that every staff member should know of her celebration to then have only one be bothered. Other than this indiscretion, the room was big,not as the photos showed to any description,but nice.

Hotel just about ok - Breakfast, not the best, bed we had was not very big, hotel looks a little tired to me. In a really nice area overall.

The hotel was very old and would have been very grand in its day. It is a little tired and frayed around the edges now, but is still a nice place to stay. The spa facilities were very small with communal changing. Robes were not supplied to guests unless treatments were booked (bit disappointed). Room was well equipped and I liked the mineral water dispensers in the corridors. Staff were all very friendly. Dinner was very nice (bit surprised to see tatty dining chairs with foam showing on many). Oh, and there are no lifts - my 80+ Mum and Dad struggled a bit with all the stairs.
