"This stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel just opened this year, so everything is brand new and spotless. Both the public areas and the rooms are very comfortably designed. The service throughout was excellent; check-in at the front desk was efficient, and any requests were promptly handled. Breakfast was a delightful surprise with delicious dishes and fresh ingredients. The minibar was replenished daily, which was a great touch! I especially want to commend the bedding – the mattress was just right, not too soft or too firm, and the duvet and pillows were incredibly soft, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Overall, everything was outstanding and I highly recommend it to everyone."

"This is a great, comfortable hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the location is good. I would definitely stay here again on any future trips to this city On important warning: be cautious and mindful if you use the electric outlets or USB charging ports adjacent to the bed(s). In my room the wiring was strange! The ”Master” light switch, in addition to turning off the lights, killed the power to all the outlets near the bed!!! So in the morning none of the devices (mobile phone, power packs etc had received any electricity all night long. What a nasty surprise! The remedy is to test carefully, or use other, more dependable outlets! The breakfast bar had an amble variety of food items. But strangely the only beverage at all was milk!"

"The room layout was sensible, with one large bed and one 1.2-meter smaller bed, plus two bathrooms. It's very suitable for families with children. The room was clean, with a separate wet and dry area, and the bathtub was a nice touch for families with kids. The robot service was a big hit with the children. Service: The service could use some improvement, for example, helping with luggage when entering and leaving, providing children's bathrobes and toothbrushes in family rooms, and offering welcome fruits."

"The hotel is said to have opened in 2026 and boasts an excellent location in a bustling area, very close to the Drum Tower, just above the Shenglong Yuexiangcheng Shopping Center. The 8th floor houses the reception and a buffet restaurant (breakfast buffet is also located here). Floors 10-13 are guest rooms, with a gym and laundry room on the 10th floor. Parking is available in the underground parking garage. Shopping and dining are conveniently located with direct access to the shopping center from the hotel, and there's also a large supermarket downstairs. The only downside is some traffic congestion during rush hour and weekends. The hotel is new, the staff are friendly and attentive, the facilities are modern, the rooms are reasonably sized, and the environment is quiet. The bathroom and shower are separate, which is a plus. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's adequate. Overall, it offers great value for money."

"On my trip north from Hangzhou, I chose Linfen for my second night, mainly because I've been craving their beef meatball noodles for years after seeing them in videos, and I finally got to try them! The hotel is right by the Fen River, so it was great to get some exercise in the morning. Oh, and the room was really good – spacious and clean! Parking was convenient too, right in front of the hotel."

"We stayed at the hotel for three consecutive nights. We originally booked two nights, but later added one more night so we wouldn't have to move rooms. The hotel upgraded our room for free, which was very thoughtful. There were four of us elderly people, and we were leaving around 3 PM to catch our train, but the hotel extended our check-out time to 2 PM, which was very considerate. The hotel is very close to Gulou Street and Shenglong International Plaza, making it very convenient for sightseeing and dining. It was a very satisfying experience."

"The family room was much bigger than I expected, completely different from other hotels where they just cram two beds into one room. It felt like it used to be a suite that was converted, with two connecting rooms each having a large bed. This is perfect for families traveling with older children, as everyone gets their own space. Both rooms were very spacious, the overall decor felt quite high-end, and the cleanliness was also good. What was particularly thoughtful was that all the duvets were summer quilts – I've put up with thick duvets in other hotels for so long, so it's very considerate that this hotel thought of that. The only slight downside was that the room was at the very end of the hallway, and the hotel's layout is a bit odd; it takes a while to walk from the elevator, and dragging luggage along that path was a bit difficult. A nice touch, though, was that the hallway featured many small display cases showcasing Linfen's local culture, history, and intangible cultural heritage. This was great and made the long walk down the corridor less boring. The mini-bar in the room offered complimentary drinks, and breakfast was decent – enough to fill you up, and the local beef meatball noodles were good. Parking was convenient with an underground garage right next door. They also have a gym and a laundry room, so the facilities are good, and you can even order coffee on the first floor. The only minor issue was that the floor drain in the bathroom seemed to have a bit of an odor when we first entered, but flushing water down it fixed it right up. Hopefully, they can address that."

"My most delightful surprise when visiting Linfen was staying at the Ancient City Courtyard Museum Hotel. It's not a replica of ancient buildings, but rather three authentic Ming and Qing dynasty courtyards that have been relocated and restored, making it a living museum you can actually stay in. I spent four days and three nights here, truly slowing down to absorb the unique and profound atmosphere of the Pingyang region. The courtyards feature bluestone slabs, old wooden beams, and brick-carved screen walls, with every detail revealing traces of time. Beneath its ancient exterior, the interior is incredibly comfortable, with all modern amenities. The bedding and toiletries are of high quality, and the ancient courtyards offer excellent soundproofing, ensuring a quiet and serene environment, far from the city's hustle and bustle. The butler service is meticulous and thoughtful, and they patiently explain the history behind the courtyards. By day, I explored ancient architectural treasures like Guangcheng Temple, Xiaoxitian, and Fotou Temple, searching for national heritage sites in Southern Shanxi, admiring murals and ancient sculptures, and feeling the awe-inspiring ancient civilization. By night, I returned to this grand courtyard, stepping into a gentle and tranquil past. If you're visiting Linfen to explore historical sites, this hotel is highly recommended. It truly elevates the travel experience, and I would choose to stay here again on my next visit to Linfen."

"The room was spotless and tidy, and the mattress and duvet were incredibly soft and comfortable. The shower quickly adjusted to the perfect temperature and had great water pressure. There was also an air purifier in the room, so no smoky smell at all. Breakfast was good too, and the front desk staff were friendly and professional."

"Home Inn 如家，as its name it’s comfortable as home. Walking distance from high speed train station but I gotten a random share cab to the hotel. Very thoughtful little touches like having a drink dispenser and some fruits to go with it at the reception. There is also a professional massage place on the left (facing Home Inn) and a nice local specialty beef noodle shop round the corner on the left. Restaurant on the right of the massage place is a disappointment."
