Cheap Hotels in Nanning

"This scathing review is directed at the bespectacled male 'deputy manager.' I've stayed here before and was always completely satisfied with both the location and service, so when I returned to Nanning six months later, I naturally chose this place again. But this time, it was absolutely infuriating. First, upon check-in, I politely asked if an upgrade was possible. The front desk said no, as the hotel was full due to the summer holiday, which I understood. So we proceeded to check into our triple room as booked. However, once in the room, I noticed the bathroom looked nothing like the online pictures (see picture, Photo 1 is the online photo, Photo 2 is the actual bathroom in the room – the hotel deleted the online photo after the incident). I called the front desk, and several people came up. After multiple room changes, it was still the same bathroom. Finally, this deputy manager arrived and admitted that the online pictures were incorrect, and the room I booked simply didn't have a bathroom like the one shown. Although it took a long time and a lot of back and forth, he eventually seemed sincere and offered a room upgrade and a fruit plate for the evening. I then requested breakfast, which he readily agreed to, saying we could just use our room card to get it. At this point, despite nearly an hour wasted, I felt the solution was acceptable. Then came the crucial part. First, the fruit plate never appeared that evening. Okay, I didn't call to ask again, thinking they might be busy due to the holiday. We stayed for three nights. On the first day, the three of us successfully used our room cards to 'enjoy' the hotel's buffet breakfast. On the second day, we paid for dim sum ourselves, so we skipped the buffet. However, on the third day, when we went for the hotel buffet breakfast, we were stopped. They said their backend notes indicated that the deputy manager had only offered one breakfast! The restaurant staff even called the front desk to confirm, and they still emphasized that the deputy manager had explicitly said only one breakfast was complimentary, and the other two would have to pay. Seriously, is this how your hotel solves problems and treats its customers? Regardless of your leadership rank, you initially offered a sincere solution, which is why I overlooked the discrepancy between the physical room and the pictures. But then you renege on your promise and make a joke out of your guests, don't you? After calling Ctrip that morning and explaining what happened, they 'generously' offered me one more breakfast. Do you really think I'm desperate for your breakfast? I don't need your charity breakfast, and I don't want your cafeteria-style breakfast. I'm writing this complaint solely to complain about you, and it has nothing to do with Ctrip or any other staff members! Of course, a 'leader' from a large state-owned enterprise probably doesn't care anyway."

"Came here for the world's tallest Shangri-La, and the views did not disappoint! The hotel lobby is incredibly grand, and the 270-degree view is superb, offering a panoramic vista of 'Green City' Nanning. The room layout is well-designed, the bedding in the bedroom is comfortable, and the smart system is very easy to use. All aspects of the experience were excellent, and the service was particularly satisfying! Front desk agent Elva was fantastic; she thoughtfully arranged a room with the best night view for us, gave a detailed introduction to the facilities, enthusiastically recommended many great places to eat and visit, and even helped us with a late checkout. Her service was truly exceptional!!! The ladies at the Executive Lounge, Rose, Wynn, Maddy, and Linny, were also incredibly warm and welcoming. It truly lives up to its reputation as the best hotel in Nanning, I will definitely come again!"

"This established hotel truly lives up to its reputation. They even upgraded our room for free without us asking, as they had availability. The location is excellent too; I was going to take a taxi to Sanjie Liangxiang, but then I realized it's only a seven-minute walk! The best part was the airport drop-off service! On the day of my departure, their hotel car broke down, and since I was traveling alone, they proactively called a taxi for me to the airport (which is 22km away). I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

"First off, the location is excellent. It's very close to both the subway station and MixC, and there's another large mall nearby (I can't recall its name), so getting around, shopping, and dining are all incredibly convenient. However, due to property management rules, cars can't drive directly to the hotel entrance. But the hotel does have staff stationed at the drop-off point who help with luggage and parking, so it's not a big issue. Secondly, the hotel staff (including front desk and housekeeping) all have fantastic service attitudes – polite and enthusiastic. The hotel's facilities are also comprehensive; they pretty much have everything you'd expect and need. The room cleanliness is good too. As for the complimentary afternoon tea, it was just okay; we took a look and weren't very interested. Breakfast was also pretty average. Overall, aside from the food, everything else is highly recommendable. If I ever go back to Nanning, this will definitely be my first choice."

"The location is convenient, with a bus stop right outside and Metro Line 1 nearby, making it easy to get around to all parts of the city. My favorite place to go was MixC shopping mall. However, after a few days exploring Nanning, I found that staying in the old town area was even more convenient. A pleasant surprise was the abundance of e-scooters in Nanning, which made solo travel very easy. The hotel facilities are a bit dated. The floorboards are cracked, and the balcony door doesn't close properly. On New Year's Eve, it got quite windy, and it felt a bit like staying in Wuthering Heights. There was a disposable liner for the bathtub, but no bath salts. The laundry room had many washing machines, but they weren't very efficient. The wash-and-dry combo damaged my 'bird' jacket. It seems they prioritize quantity over quality. Take Hanting hotels, for example, they have three LG washer and dryer units that use low-temperature drying, which doesn't harm clothes and significantly reduces waiting times for guests. The hotel service was very good; the butler was attentive and followed up constantly, doing their best to meet guests' needs. However, the hotel's management style seems to focus too much on KPI assessments rather than genuine guest satisfaction. This leads to them being a bit pushy in trying to get 5-star reviews. Guests who can afford this price point likely won't be swayed by sob stories or small favors, given their discernment and financial standing. Overall, I still recommend it; it offers good value for money."

"Came to Nanning to visit Mixc City and chose the Crowne Plaza. It was incredibly convenient for daily outings – the metro entrance leads directly to the hotel, and going downstairs for shopping and late-night snacks was a breeze. The room was on a high floor with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering a wide-open view; you could see the entire city's nightscape in the evening. The mattress was just the right firmness, and the toiletries felt high-quality, showing great attention to detail. Allen, the front desk attendant, provided excellent service; check-in was fast, and there's even a robot that delivers takeout to your room door. The hotel has its own pool and gym, perfect for relaxing in your free time. Overall, it's cozy and down-to-earth, suitable for both leisure travel and short business trips. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanning."

"This hotel is pretty good. The location is excellent, really close to the subway station, which makes getting around super convenient. Plus, there's a mall right next door, so it's easy to grab a meal or do some shopping. The staff service is also great, especially Moon, Pink, Joyce, and Freya from the service center. They were very responsive to all our needs. Our travel plans changed this time, and they even let us have a late check-out. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance."

"Security guards were on hand at the entrance to direct parking and help with luggage. The front desk staff was very thorough in explaining everything about the hotel and breakfast. The decor has a strong Zhuang ethnic flair. The room size was average, but the bathroom area was quite spacious. Breakfast offered a good variety, both nutritious and delicious."
