excellent hotel with great attention to detail, cleanliness and excellent food. Large and well-lit room. owners present but not intrusive. efficient staff. they accept (for a fee) even medium-large sized dogs. if there is anything to improve it is to invite children not to exaggerate with shouting in the pool and to put a minimum age limit on the use of the hydromassage.

Excellent family-run hotel where you feel at home. Everything was simply perfect, from the cleanliness of the room (large and well furnished) to the quality of sleep. The staff, both in the hotel and in the restaurant, are friendly and efficient. A particular mention goes to the restaurant which offers excellent local cuisine. Good wine list. Prices appropriate to the level of service provided. Wi-Fi without any problem. I will definitely return, also to try the swimming pool and sauna.

Good morning, I stayed at the Gassenwirt with my wife, my brother and my mother on half board. I initially booked four days then added a day for personal reasons. Positives: food, cleanliness, education, owners with dogs all in one side of the hotel. Negative sides: convinced to book two recent singles and a double which was also new, we ended up with rooms not present on the site, old, one without even a curtain in the shower and I could go on. Then, last but not least, on 5 evenings, 4 evenings my 92 year old mother ate only an apple, and my brother a single dish and little more. on Sunday at noon my mother and my brother ate à la carte, spending around Euro 80.00 now I don't expect anything at all but others would perhaps have condoned the spring water (a jug Euro 1.50). However, I would also add that rooms after the third day cost less, instead you pay for both the fourth and fifth day at the full price of the first three days, in short, it is not recommended to stay there for a few days or to insist on having new rooms. Highly incorrect behavior on the part of Mrs. Petra.

Super recommended hotel! Everything was excellent... from the kitchen to the rooms, the cleanliness, the friendliness, the food was excellent and the linen in the rooms was also of excellent quality. The hotel is in a good position from which it is easy to reach the most beautiful destinations in South Tyrol. And finally, an excellent solution for those of us who accompany our dog!

This structure is truly very characteristic, it has a very typical charm of the area. The staff is really very very courteous, thoughtful and attentive to satisfying the customer's needs. The hotel is undergoing expansion, there are also apar**ents in front of the hotel. The two structures are communicating. It is a hotel that respects different traditions without forgetting traditions. The waitresses are dressed in typical clothing. The hotel has really large and spacious rooms, tidy, clean and always tidy, there is a passage to replace towels in the late afternoon. There is a sauna and a swimming pool, a beautiful garden where you can smell the scents of the well-kept hotel vegetable garden. The wood-fired oven is also typical, there are fruit trees on the perimeter of the structure. The parking is a little sacrificed but still large enough for several cars. The hotel is located at the top of the town. Approximately 5 paths start from the hotel and can be explored on foot.

There were four of us at the Gassenwirt. As a father/son motorcycle tour, we had rented the two ground floor apar**ents in the building next door. Very large, well laid out, ours even had a veranda and garden. The food is highly recommended and there were seconds of everything. The service was always excellent, whether from the boss, boss's daughter or any of the employees. The boss's tour tips were very good, even the small roads 👍. The motorcycle garage was spacious with a helmet cleaning area and was lockable.

Location easily accessible along the S.S. of the Pusteria Valley between Bressanone and Brunico. The village of Chienes has all kinds of shops and also a pharmacy. Upon arrival we waited more than 15 minutes at the reception before someone welcomed us at check-in time despite the comings and goings of service staff who ignored us. The apar**ent is not far from the hotel and does not have private parking. Fortunately, there is a little-used public car park in the immediate vicinity. The accommodation is well maintained even if it lacks a dishwasher, the pans and utensils are kept to a minimum with some shortcomings, an internal intercom, a microwave oven and a safe are missing. The flat-screen TV receives all DT channels, even in German. They did not publish that the structure borders a very noisy stream even though the shutters close perfectly and do not let any noise pass through. The small private garden in front of the living room where the dog was able to run freely was pleasant. It is not acceptable for the service staff to enter the apar**ent during the day without knocking to change linen and to take the vacuum cleaner forgotten under the bed. The agreements were different: to leave the laundry on a small armchair outside the door which we stuck to, but they still came in once even while they were eating lunch. The so-called "winter garden" is pleasant, which is a veranda with opening windows accessible from the room. Overall the place is very quiet. It's a shame for the shortcomings reported and for the undue interference. Staff overall not very friendly and not very helpful so we decided not to use any internal services of the nearby hotel or even of the restaurant. As proof of the lack of availability at check-out, we were not even asked how we found ourselves and perhaps to say goodbye. We paid and left. I don't think we will return.

We stayed there for just one night, during a small holiday in South Tyrol. Small rooms but with good cleaning (for us the essential). SPA not very large but functional, even if not supervised. The swimming pool with a few degrees more (we understand the costs) wouldn't be bad.
