Poetic dwelling hidden next to the stone carving: a small note on the mountain homestay
National Day and friends travel, Dazu stone carvings are not in our planned itinerary, this trip did not meet in the plan, but became the most precious gift. Along the mountain road next to Dazu stone carvings, it was to find a clean mountain forest, but accidentally hit a dumpling mountain homestay with this artistic accommodation space. In this space transformed by the old building, the masonry walls tell the story of the years, and the stone carvings photography, art paintings and retro furnishings collide with a unique charm. Daytime can enjoy the greenery by the window, you can also enjoy coffee in the warm light, flip books, even the kittens in the corner seem to enjoy this literary and tranquil, the accommodation space is also full of retro warmth, every place is hidden for life and art delicate sculpture.
At night, sleeping with the tranquility of the mountains and forests, as if sleeping with the ancient cliffs, this accommodation experience of the blend of mountains and humanities is the most moving extension of the Dazu stone carving trip.
When I lived in the ”Zizi Mountain”, the light and shadow in the homestay were always more particular than elsewhere. Later, I learned that this ”regardless” hides the ingenuity of the photographic artist. The owner of the homestay is a couple. They are souls hidden in the Dazu Stone Carving Mountain Forest. They participate in the protection and dissemination of Dazu Stone Carvings. Mr. Dai Xiaobing is a contemporary photography artist. His lens chases the morning mist and sunset of Dazu Stone Carvings, putting the most heavy focus. Target the silent shadows of the cave guards beside the cliff. Today, his work is hung in the exhibition hall of Dazu stone carvings, and is also displayed in the lobby dining bar of the Dianzishan B&B. He used the lens as a bond, so that those hidden in the mountains and forests of the stick can be seen, so that the millennium stone carvings and contemporary people, there is the warmest visual dialogue.
The entire small courtyard of the homestay has opened 10 rooms. Most of the space is designed as galleries, cafes, cultural salons and art exchange places. In the exchange with Mr. Dai, he learned that his original intention to build the B&B in the dumpling mountain was not for marketing, but to start with ten rooms. Build a small bridge connecting stone history and contemporary art, so that people from afar, in the place closest to the stone carving, slow down to touch the blend of art and life. This may be the reason for the hotel to be called ”Mount Scorpion”! ”The dumplings are Nasumi”, but the world is beautiful in the mountains and the mountains. The hostess of the hotel, Sister Yuan, doesn't talk much. She usually has little communication with us in the small courtyard, but she feels like a soft light in the mountains, and takes care of the homestay as well as home. In her, there is no alienation from strangers, and there is the unique kindness and gentleness of the mountains. Everyone who lives in the hotel feels like an old friend who has not met for a long time. The most worth mentioning is at the Dianzishan B&B. The meal is never a simple fruit belly, but the freshness of the back mountain. The warmth of firewood makes it a hard-to-find ”luxury” in the city - this luxury is a wild fun that supermarket shelves do not have, and a firework spirit that gas stoves cannot cook. Staying here for a few days only to understand, the so-called ”Sumi” is never a distant god mountain, but this small garden, landscape, humanities and life blended successfully.
I thought this was all the beauty of the journey, but I encountered an unexpected surprise. It was a surprise about light and shadow. Teacher Dai’s friend was also a photographer. After lunch, we chatted about our desire to leave some memorials for this journey. He smiled and waved: ”Don't deliberately shoot, the scene here, should have been with you,” he took out the camera to make an ordinary time, the eternal beauty. These ”frames” are not deliberately posing pictures, but the artistic sense, fireworks and traveler status in the homestay, naturally rubbing into the ”time slice” in the same grid, so that the temperature of this journey can be remembered through the specific picture.
When I left the mountain, there was still light rain in the mountain. Next to the firewood stove of the courtyard dam, Sister Yuan was preparing the ingredients for lunch. When she saw us saying goodbye with our luggage, she reluctantly said: ”This is going to go! At noon, I plan to make a good hair blood Wang for you to eat... It's okay, leave something to think about! Come back next time!” Mr. Dai helped us carry our luggage down the stairs and asked us to pay attention to safety on the road. When I looked back, the house number of ”Mountain of Scorpion” was swaying in the morning light. I suddenly understood that the most rare thing about this journey was not how many stone carvings I had seen, but I met a life here. The camera can talk to smoke. Art can be melted into a bowl of hot porridge. The mountain stove fire in the city is beyond the reach of the dust. It became the most close daily to the soul of the stone carving. Perhaps later remembered Dazu, the first appeared is not the image on the cliff wall, but the stove fire, art and fireworks symbiosis of the small courtyard the original best travel, never punching in the scenery, but a period of time with temperature, gently put into the heart.
