LLester JuayGreat hotel that begins with a luxurious lobby space and warm hospitality. The rooms are well-equipped, and the butler service on WeChat is convenient and responsive. The pool and saunas were comfortable, and the gym was sufficiently equipped.
We had several requests that were all met expediently (such as getting bubblewrap to help us with protecting the glassware we bought). Special shoutout to Miss Lilyan, the attentive and friendly front-counter staff member who went out of her way to prepare gifts for us before we left. Miss Nicole was also the person behind our prompt WeChat butler service. Kudos to the both of them!
This hotel is among the more expensive choices in Chongqing city, but it is easy to understand why as the overall experience did not fall short of a 6-star experience. The location is great from the airport (it saves you from needing to cross the bridge and join the traffic jam), but accessibility to city centre remains great. Our room had a partial view of Hongyadong too!

The rooms are immaculately clean, tastefully appointed, and filled with thoughtful small touches that pique your interest in the new surroundings. Despite being nestled among residential buildings, there was absolutely no noise or disturbance.
The young lady at the front desk was polite and efficient. She thoughtfully provided a breakfast guide video and the Wi-Fi password during check-in, and later in the evening, a complimentary fruit platter was delivered to my room. Upon checkout, I was surprised with a bag of local specialty snacks, explained as 'something to enjoy on your journey.' It's these small, comforting gestures that truly make a difference.
As a business traveler, this kind of thoughtful attention to detail is exactly what we look for.

GGuest UserThe cave-themed room was an absolute delight! The high-altitude views were stunning. The facilities were incredibly user-friendly, and the service was outstanding. The spacious and comfortable bed offered a truly cinematic experience, and the latex memory foam mattress was incredibly comfortable to sleep on! Plus, there's a romantic bathtub where you can soak and admire the stunning night views.
The location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from Hongyadong! There are also many popular attractions nearby, perfect for exploring, including Luohan Temple, Jiefangbei (Liberation Monument), Hongyadong, Baixiangju, Yangtze River Cableway, and the Chongqing Eye Observation Deck, just to name a few. Dining, entertainment, and shopping are also incredibly convenient, with plenty of great malls nearby to explore.

LLuangritivutiThe hotel location is marvelous at the central of Jiafangbei area and close to all restaurant and shopping center. The staff were very nice at front-desk and restaurant. The room was comfortable with electric toilet. They were cleaning the room daily. The breakfast menu has variety of menu. Mostly in Chinese style. The bed and pillow was good quality for good sleeping after traveling. We were on 26 floor a bit noise from street on Sat and Sun but week day quiet. But no disturb noise from the other room. The room has full glass wall and you can see the sky line and vibrant of the city.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, just a three-minute walk from the subway station. The room was clean, the bath towels were disposable, and the bedding was comfortable. The only problem was that the air conditioner couldn't adjust the air volume. Even the lowest setting was loud, whirring. It was quiet only when the air conditioner was turned off. But in Chongqing with a temperature of 37 degrees Celsius, it's impossible not to use the air conditioner. Overall, 4 stars.

AAnonymous UserOverall was good but the cleanliness of the room is kind of bad, first of, the bed smelled like an homeless person slept on it, I also noticed mold on the ground, and when i activated the jacuzzi mode in the bath, some small black particles started coming out of the jets, couldn’t get those off because I couldn’t drain the bath, it didn’t let me to. There were bugs in the room.The view was good tho, that’s the main reason I booked this room, service and amenities were also good, I recommend if you want the best view on ATC tower.

DDerickOverall, as stated by many other reviews, this hotel is the value-for-money champion. Personally, I would rate if a hotel were a real five star hotel or simply a 'self-proclaimed' five star hotel based on the service rendered. Le Meridien Chongqing excelled in this aspect. Every staff member I had interacted with was friendly and warm.
Check-in: Was swift and unlike many chinese hotels which are distrusting of their customers, they did not ask for a deposit. Saves the hassle.
Room: It was spacious, I had previously read some other reviews which complained about the red cupboard at the entrance was terrifying, but personally I liked the chinese style decor. The aircon was slightly noisy and not the most effective, but I liked sleeping in a slightly cooler room. The bed was comfortable, although one side seemed to be more 'slept in' than the other, possibly a sign of the hotel's age. I did also notice some stains and wear and tear in the room but it was nothing serious so I will let that slide. The greatest sign of wear and tear is the shower head, which although was Hansgrohe branded, felt like it was about to break when I tried to change the shower mode. Toiletries were from the Malin+Goetz brand, which I really liked! But of course, ThisWorks branded ones used by Marriott hotels are slightly better.
Facilities: There was an indoor pool and a well-equipped gym- with a smith machine, something that is not available in some 5 star hotels. Impressive!
Breakfast: This was the greatest let down in the stay experience. As I was going up the lift, I noticed a sign stating that breakfast was on promotion at 68RMB per person. That could not mean anything good. The breakfast experience was cut to the bone. There were almost no hot cooked food options, except from basics such as eggs, toast, cooked chongqing noodles(plain) and dumplings. There is simply no way that this acceptable as a 5 star hotel breakfast, something that seems to be mentioned by other reviewers.
Other hotel restaurants- Not too sure why I bothered to try out the other hotel restaurants after the disappointing breakfast but, the chinese restaurant served food that was tasty, but the so-called ala-carte buffet was not great. The food options seemed like leftovers from another hotel buffet or something, and I counted a total of 5 pieces of beef when I ordered the dish 'black pepper beef'. Service was good and seemed well-intentioned though, although they seemed puzzled that I was not ordering more-- The food was not good!
Location: Located in Nan'an, I had chosen this hotel as it offered better value for money than its 5 star competitors in JieFangBei or the Conrad. It was also located in front of a Rail Transit station although I only used it once since the trains were crowded and it was quicker to grab a DiDi around. I think the biggest plus regarding its location is the adjacent Wanda Plaza, which had everything from a Sephora, Uniqlo and many other shops. I regretted not visiting it first before hopping on the train.
To summarise, I would recommend a first time visitor to Chongqing to stay in this hotel, but would I visit it again? Perhaps not, as I would like to try out other options in Chongqing that are newer, and can provide better breakfasts.

AArkent NathanaelLocated near Hongyadong, the hotel is located in a very good spot. Though, at first I had trouble finding where the hotel lobby is. You actually have to go to the third floor for the hotel lobby! Many hotpots around. The service from receptionists are very good.
The room sound proofing is good. AirCon is cold. Bed is comfortable and the breakfast has a wide variety of food.

GGuest UserThis is a serviced apartment and I booked 2 x two bedroom River view apartments for my family of 6. We are from the UK and Hong Kong. The apartment was very spacious 128 sq metres with big living room, dining room, kitchen, separate laundry room, master bedroom + en-suite and walk-in closet and 2nd bedroom with bathroom. The view of the river was amazing. The property is right by the riverside in a relatively quiet area and next door is a police station. Chongqing is a very heavily populated city and it was somewhat of a relief to come back to a more peaceful area. It’s very safe and behind the property about 10 mins walk up the stair route is a shopping district. Note: this is a serviced apartment and there are families who live here on a longer term basis. I didn’t notice any big tour group style guests either. It’s not a huge famous branded hotel, so you need to carry the name card and address of the property to tell the taxi drivers.
The breakfast is a simple buffet style. More continental style with a few more hot add-ons like dumplings and eggs. You can also order takeout and the it will be delivered to your room via a robot!
The front desk staff are very helpful although they don’t really speak much English. However, they do try to use a translation app and we were able to converse. They would give us recommendations on tourist hotspots and detailed explanations on how to get there by public transportation. The staff may not be so international, but they are friendly, helpful and kind hearted if you give them some patience. I must commend Nancy from front desk for helping me to courier a jacket which I left in the wardrobe after check-out. It was delivered back to my home in Hong Kong the next day. Much appreciation for her texting me in English and having such a helpful manner.
I was able to use the washing machine/dryer for my laundry and found it thoughtful that they provided a sachet of washing powder. The appliances : fridge, microwave, washing machine, electric hobs are all good quality Siemens, Electrolux. Whilst the property is slightly dated, the decor of the rooms themselves are comfortable and clean and had the sense of quiet luxury. I would recommend that they put in a better quality of shower curtain to keep up with the rest of the decor. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels refreshed daily too. They don’t have cotton buds or cotton wool, toothbrush etc. in the bathroom trays like the do in normal hotels but the front desk do give you a set of toothbrush upon check-in. I believe this is something to do with an eco-friendly policy.
My family members used the pool facilities in the mornings and found it to be big enough for a good swim. The only thing they were not used to was lack of a life-guard manning the pool and also the sauna and steam room were a bit dated.
Overall, a very positive experience and good value for the price. It is like a home away from home and excellent for families who want to be together, yet also retreat to their own rooms.

The location and facility are unique. It's a quick road to the Airport also, the surroundings have a lot of shops and foodies. The room and toilet are all equipped with the automated system. We were able to do the laudry and the bed are super comfort, best sleep ever.
