I entered the Dubai Valley from Cape Town, South Africa and stayed at this hotel. I was a little tired so I requested a lower bed, but I'm sure they listened to my request and I was grateful. The location was excellent, and most places were within walking distance of the town and I could enjoy walking. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity!

The location is particularly easy to find. It's 500 meters away from the subway station, the Central Railway Station, and it's convenient to go anywhere. It's only 30 minutes to get to the airport. It's very quick to get to the attractions, the Little Mermaid, the City Hall, and Newport. It's very convenient at night. There's a bar on the roadside with a great view. Nice place. This is the original experience of a youth hostel. It's the way hostels were originally before the new generations turned them into expensive hotels that have nothing to do with youth travel. The staff is nice and helpful. There were stand-up wanna-be performing almost every night in the living room. Brought me right back to the 1960s. I loved it ! It is well located. All the services nearby (restaurants - affordable, cafés, groceries store, parks, subways, shopping streets, etc.). The hostel has a common kitchen for residents and a dining room. Nice place to meet fellow travellers. The hostel is run by a foundation. By staying there, you contribute to help organizations in developing countries. The only down points are the showers. No pressure, no water... This needs to be fixed. Some of the bed have run their life and need a change. Otherwise, great value in a country where everything becomes so expensive.

I only stayed here one night in a very comfortable bed in a roomy six-bed dorm for DKK 120/€15.40 and loved the place. There are lots of showers, a kitchen plus a large common area. Norreport metro station is short distance away to get to the centre, but to be honest Copenhagen isn't enormous and I took a leisurely stroll of about an hour all the way from the hostel to the centre. The area round the hostel is full of bars, restaurants, food shops, etc. The hostel's philosophy of emphasising solidarity and diversity is spot on too.

I stayed for 7 nights, in what I think had to be the best double room. It's at the back of the hostel and at the end of the corridor, so it was very quiet. Bed and pillows comfortable, everything clean. The cafe/bar is comfortable with plenty of sofas, how busy it is obviously varies according to time, day of week, and if there is entertainment happening. The volunteers and management are delightful, helpful and generally work hard to make it pleasant, and all profit goes to Action Aid. During my stay the guest kitchen was clean and my food was not taken by other guests. A small irritation was the door to the dining area, the closing mechanism is broken which results in a loud and unpredictably timed bang whenever it is used. The toilets and showers (2 of each on my floor) were definitely adequate for this time of year, and were also clean and worked well. There is a strict no smoking policy, for which I was grateful! I hadn't stayed in a hostel for many years, and I'm not a good sleeper so would not like a dormitory anyway, so can't comment on that. Thank you all xx

It's a hostel a bit like in the 80s! A little dilapidated, a bit neglected, all bric a brac and a young spirit with a bar where we party. It bears little resemblance to other hostels, which are cleaner and more modern. The staff is friendly but a little lost, without knowing how everything works. Absolutely great location because in a trendy area with a lot of bars and restaurants with the inconvenience of outside noise. So, ideal place to meet other people but disregarding the material conditions, the cleanliness and the service provided.
