Hotels in Caicun Scenic Spot, Dali City

Located in Caicun, the room offers stunning views directly facing Erhai Lake. The ecological corridor is just downstairs, making the location absolutely superb. The front desk lady was incredibly friendly and even helped us dry our clothes. The staff member was very dedicated; he even drove to pick us up after his working hours. Both of them were fantastic and very professional. The breakfast place they recommended nearby served the best rice noodles I've ever had in my life. Downsides: The room facilities were very basic. There were only disposable bath towels, and the projector quality was mediocre. The bathroom was just 'not particularly annoying,' nothing more. The biggest issue was that my room was incredibly small. The merchant's photos, taken with a wide-angle lens, made it look much larger, but in reality, it was just the bed plus a window sill (for the view). This was disappointing. The soundproofing was also very poor (though this is common for guesthouses in these villages, as they are converted from old buildings). If you're just looking for a place to sleep for one night, I'd say it's an option. But if you want a really nice environment, it's better to go to the Erhai side below Longkan Pier, where there are many places with excellent settings.

This B&B boasts an excellent location right by Erhai Lake. Step out of the garden and you're on the ecological corridor, surrounded by beautiful scenery. You can enjoy lake views right from your window, and a 100-meter walk to the right will lead you to a stunning sunrise spot – though you can even see it from your bed in the B&B! It's very quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, offering to assist with luggage. Breakfast includes options like rice noodles, boiled eggs, fried eggs, and bread, with fresh fruit served daily. On our first day, I accidentally lost my room card, but the owner promptly replaced it without any charge. The room itself is very clean, and the towels are thoughtfully packaged in transparent plastic bags. The views from this B&B are absolutely superb – highly recommended!

We stayed in a king-size bed room, which was very clean and well-equipped. The disposable toiletries were plentiful, and there was even a kitchen available for use. Since there were many of us, we were arranged on the first floor, but the view from the window was fantastic – overlooking the fields and Cangshan Mountain. Right outside the entrance was a pond with many small fish, surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs. It was very pleasant to sit there, enjoy the breeze, and chat with friends. There are beautiful wall paintings in the courtyard, perfect for taking photos. The hotel is very close to Chongsheng Temple, about an 8-minute bike ride. Turning left out of the hotel will take you to Dali Ancient City, and there are also electric scooter rentals nearby. Overall, the hotel's location is very convenient for getting around. Calling a ride-hailing service to Cangshan Mountain is also not far. The service was also good; we had a responsive housekeeper, and they even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. Recommended!

Facilities: Very comprehensive! It's a shame I couldn't get a room with a bathtub, though. I really liked the marble design in the bathroom; it felt very luxurious. Hygiene: Very clean, and everything you could need was provided. They even had special detergent for washing underwear, which was a really thoughtful touch – I didn't even need to use the one I brought. Environment: Absolutely fantastic! We had a front-row ocean view, with an unobstructed view of the sunrise. There was a huge balcony, but we didn't really get to use it much as we were out exploring all the time. Next time, I'll definitely slow down and enjoy some coffee on the terrace. Service: The auntie and uncle were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. It was my first time in Dali, and I had no idea what to do. They gave us a detailed explanation, and the uncle was incredibly knowledgeable about the local culture and history, knowing which attractions had a long cultural background. If you're unsure how to explore or what kind of unique experiences you're looking for, they can clearly explain it and give great recommendations. Overall, it was superb! I plan to come back every year. If you walk north along the hotel, you'll find all the popular beachfront photo spots.

Environment: Although it's right by Erhai Lake (super convenient, next to the ecological corridor), it's quiet with few people. The overall decor is unique and stylish, and there's a viewing terrace on the rooftop, perfect for watching the sunrise. Cleanliness: Tidy and clean, with a pleasant air freshener. Facilities: There's a bar on the first floor serving specialty cocktails and coffee.

Clean and comfortable, quiet, and the pillows were especially cozy. The facilities are comprehensive, and there are even lockers for luggage. On the day of departure, you can check out and store your bags in the lockers before heading out to explore. The room faces Cangshan Mountain directly, so you can enjoy views of Cangshan from the balcony. It's really lovely to sit on the balcony and take in the scenery at your leisure.

I found a guesthouse in Dali Longkan that I absolutely love! The location is fantastic; right outside the guesthouse gate is the Erhai Lake ecological corridor, making it super convenient for walks or bike rides to Longkan Pier 🌿. I stayed in a room on the second floor, which had a clean, soft white minimalist style. The room was bright and comfortable. It came with a private balcony, and from there, I could see Erhai Lake directly. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying the breeze and the lake view, was incredibly atmospheric. Downstairs, there's a small garden with lush greenery, perfect for a stroll and some great photos. Upon check-in, I received a thoughtful welcome fruit platter and a complimentary afternoon tea, with really good coffee. The Zha Jiang rice noodles for breakfast were absolutely delicious; I heard the owner makes the Zha Jiang themselves. The service was excellent; although the owner isn't very talkative, they were always quick to respond to any requests. Definitely worth staying here.

As a foreigner, this is my honest review: I've known the guesthouse owner for 5 years, and I always stay here whenever I'm in Dali. The location is great and convenient. Seeing how well she renovated and reopened, I can say it's perfect. Anyone with good taste would choose this guesthouse. It's affordable and clean—I'm a bit of a clean freak, and the hygiene was impeccable. The owner is also very welcoming and helpful, always giving directions if I don't know where to go. I had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. ❤️❤️ The industrial area is also nice; you can sit there, have coffee, chat, and enjoy everything you need. In short, I highly recommend this place. 🙏❤️

This B&B is located in Caicun, on the southern end of the western side of Erhai Lake, just 200 meters from the shore. In about 2 minutes, you can rent a bicycle or a small scooter to cycle around the entire western side of Erhai Lake. The scenery during sunrise and sunset is absolutely stunning – truly a case of 'close to water, far from mountains.' The only minor drawback is that getting a taxi isn't very convenient, but you can ask the owner to arrange a car or book one in advance. The B&B is built and operated by local residents, and its traditional Chinese decor has a unique charm. The interior suites are simply furnished, giving you a real 'home away from home' feeling. The owner provides six-star service, responding to guest requests within a minute – incredibly prompt and attentive, making you feel truly cared for. Overall, it's great value for money and highly recommended.

We stayed at the Huasheng Hotel for six nights and it was excellent. We initially stayed for three nights, then tried another hotel, but Huasheng was definitely better! It offers great value for money and has a good location, very close to the North Gate of Dali Ancient City. It's also convenient to rent an electric scooter nearby, making getting around very easy. The rooms are very clean, and watching TV on the projector is fantastic. The mattress is just right, neither too soft nor too hard, and there are two pillows, one higher and one lower. Overall, it's superb. The garden king room is great, with a very large and spacious bed. The twin room is also spacious enough to lay out two suitcases flat, and watching the projector from bed is amazing. I stayed in south-facing rooms, so in the morning, I could ask Xiao Du (smart assistant) to open the curtains, letting the morning sun stream through the windows – very chill. Sunbathing, feeling the breeze, watching TV, and listening to music – I highly recommend this hotel! Plus, the staff service is excellent. The auntie cleans the room daily, and the front desk is always staffed. At night, you need to use your room card to enter, making it very safe!
