Myself & husband stayed for 4 nights here as couldn't find anything else. 10 mins away from the centre by bus. We arrived went to our room. Noticed only 1 hand towel but 2 bath towels. Thought i'd call reception to ask for a 2nd towel. But wait! No phone in the room. Goodness knows if you are taken ill or collapsed on the floor to let reception know? I went down saw the lady who surprised me by saying they only give 1 hand towel but 2 bath towels. Company policy! Premier Inn prides itself on being basic hotel!! Really? For the price we paid it was way expensive for basic. So she gave me this towel. Next morning went for cooked breakfast. Where's the orange juice? Oh we don't have any supplier problem! Tesco next door to hotel well stocked. Disgusting & paying extra £10.99p each per day for breakfast.

Staff in hotel and restaurant where very helpful and polite. Definitely will be using again in the future as not right in city centre but close enough to still enjoy. Rooms were spotless, beds fresh and very comfortable and having parking at front door and lifts to all floors helped with my disabled mum.

I’ve stayed here three times now, but have decided not to stay again in the future. The majority of staff are really nice: I didn’t catch names but the blonde lady on reception on during the day 14th -15th May was great. What has drawn me to a negative review is the attitude of the lady working breakfast shift 15th and 16th May. Again, I didn’t catch names but was the only lady with short brown hair. I’ve witnessed her tell guests off before which is what irks me about her. On the Thursday 16th May, I had no breakfast booking in time, I wasn’t asked for one and I assumed okay to go down at 08:00 again on 16th May. I was met with hostility by this lady, with short brown hair, perhaps in her 50’s, who decided to give me a telling off for not reporting for breakfast at 07:00. I told her I would never book breakfast at 07:00, she looked me in the eye, slammed her finger down to 07:00 on her schedule and abruptly told me that this is the time they have me down for. Basically, she’s right and I’m wrong. It is not my fault that the hotel decided on an incorrect default time for breakfast for me. I refuse to be on the receiving end of her bad attitude ever again (I’ve seen it twice now in three stays). At over £150 a night I deserve a better greeting to start my day. I will select a different hotel next time.

Was disappointed in this Premier Inn, very old building and layout not ideal. Staff issues affected food service in the evening & breakfast, we booked a cooked breakfast but were advised on arrival that no hot food would be available on Saturday morning. Was advised that the charge would be adjusted to reflect this. On receipt of my invoice the amount taken from my account was higher. Tried to phone to sort it out & rang out, not ideal when owed money. Female staff member in the bar was rude and unhelpful. Male staff in bar & restaurant staff were polite & helpful but clearly under pressure due to staff issues. Expensive weekend for poor experience.

Premier Inn has really deteriorated, the mattress was extremely well used and uncomfortable, the decor was shabby and tired. No fridge/ phone/ safe. The maids service, despite requested was woefully inadequate. The bed wasn’t made, cups weren’t washed, bin wasn’t emptied, we managed a change of towels when we specifically asked for it. Stains on the unironed bedsheets. Attitude of staff was like it or lump it. The entire hotel needed to be redecorated and furniture/ bedding replaced. We stayed for 3 nights and never intend to return.

Stayed here for 4 nights, comfortable, clean and quiet, reception staff all very polite. Now on to the barmaid in the bar/restaurant Completely ignored us for 10 minutes while I was stood at the till waiting to be seated to eat in the restaurant on our first night and my wife stood at the bar waiting to be served being totally ignored even after I was shown our table . She was very rude and disrespectful. Needless to say We didn’t eat in the restaurant we left and ate elsewhere. On to the room it’s self as always comfortable bed and a great nights sleep, But we did have a blocked sink in the bathroom that we reported but it never got unblocked so for the 4 days we were there we had to use the bath taps for brushing our teeth. We also ran out of toilet paper on the second night which we also reported and asked for more which we never received also! Overall I don’t think I’d book again to stay at this particular site, very disappointing to be honest.
