Reethi Beach Resort

A few days ago, our stay at Reethi beach resort also ended. Everything was wonderful and it was like we were in heaven. We were staying at sunset deluxe villa. The cottage was equipped with everything you need. All the staff were very kind and courteous. The house was serviced twice a day, including drinking water and beach towels. The food in the main restaurant was very tasty and varied enough. Every night there was a theme night - Italian, French, BBQ, etc. One of the evenings we paid extra for a barbecue dinner on the beach. A unique experience. Separately at the main bar there were different activities every night - music night, movie night, diving presentation and others. I really liked the fact that everywhere everyone was walking barefoot. We had breakfast and dinner and that was enough for us. The biggest plus of the hotel is the home reef and the surrounding nature. My husband saw many types of fish, sharks, turtles and dolphins. One of the evenings he went on a night dive where he had also seen stingrays. We went separately on evening fishing and jet skiing with dolphins. At night the whole beach was full of crabs carrying rapani shells on their backs. Little geckos roamed everywhere and became our first friends. There was also a very cute little bird - chickens. Special thanks also to the doctor on the island. Turns out I have sun allergy and I got a rash. Luckily it wasn't serious, but the doctor examined me and gave me a lotion that cleared up the rash very quickly. Be aware that the sun is very strong and always wear a high factor sunscreen and a blouse with a UV factor. The hotel has a very large sports center - fitness, two outdoor tennis courts, two indoor badminton and squash courts. In conclusion - we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and recommend it. We were four adults without children. From Male, we got to the island by domestic flight for 20 minutes to Daravando Island airport, then 10-15 minutes by speedboat.

It was a remarkable experience, we will never forget, people who work there are the friendliest, the best food every day, especially the bar tenders like dear Madu from the Handuvaru bar at the watervillas with who we shared a lot good energy and were best taken care of. The staff from the watersports center were amazing also, waterskiing and the best full moon night snorkeling with Bob, which i will never forget for it was very adventurous. We'd love to go there again best with all ourfriends with us, to have really good times there.

We spent 15 nights at this lovely resort and opted for the Sunrise Rooms,190 and 191 on an all inclusive basis. This side of the island has the biggest waves which we liked. The Sunset rooms on the opposite side is calmer but has less cover from the sun. We were celebrating my 80th birthday and my sister’s 70th with my daughter and granddaughter. This was my 3rd trip to the Maldives, previously 2014 and 2016 to different islands. The seaplane flight is amazing, such wonderful views of the other islands and takes around 40 minutes from Male. You off load to a pontoon and then transfer to a boat which takes about 6 minutes. The food is very good and varied and the restaurant staff are helpful and very friendly. English is used as the main language. The room plugs are all 3 pin and hairdryers are supplied in all rooms. The gift shop sells lots of gifts, clothes and is worth a visit or three. It also has restaurants that are not in the all inclusive option but can be booked and charge to your room. My granddaughter is an avid scuba diver and was amazed at the sea life she saw, mantas, turtles, stingrays, dolphins and sharks in the house reef. There is also a dive centre on the island. I have no hesitation in recommending this resort as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are not 5 star but having said that they are comfortable and have everything you need. We hope to return in 2 years.

We had an amazing few days there, the service was spotless and the place is gorgeous. We loved snorkeling among the island's colourful corals, many fishes, sharks and stingrays. The destination dinner was also a fantastic experience, in a perfect setting and with great service. The only inconvenience for us was that we were scheduled on a morning seaplane while our return flight was in the evening, we would have loved to stay a bit longer on the island. We would certainly love to go back regardless.

Repeated visit with new management. Beyong words and a very good stay on Reethi. Besides the dragging time of waiting for domestic transfer from Male, everything on the island is wonderful for our 12 nights stay. Room is spacious. Our room boy is cheerful and works on point. Food is good. We are on BB so besides breakfast at the main restaurant, freedom to have lunch and dinner elsewhere and times we like. Waiters and bartender are a joy to interact. Water sport and dive centre staff are friendly. Front office and reservation staff are efficient and helpful. Staff who keep the beach and path clean and comfortable to walk on barefoot are greet us good morning with big smiles that made the day brighter. Team Reethi beach staff really put in effort to make their guests happy and comfortable.

This was our 3rd visit to Reethi Beach Resort, and hopefully not the last We had a deluxe sunset villa on a all inclusive basis. Rooms are clear and comfortable, but they do need some TLC (they have started upgrading the rooms) Main Restaurant (buffet) staff are fantastic, especially Majit Amaan & Ulwaan who looked after me and always made sure I got something to eat every meal time (I can't digest certain foods) also Farish Mukhthar who checked on me regularly...We went to Reethi grill one night and had a lovely meal Beach is lovely cleaned every day. You have 2 sun loungers, a large parasol, and a small table on the beach outside your room Snorkeling is absolutely amazing Bars great with amazing staff who remember what you drink and know your room number Sunset Beach Bar is very relaxing. Madushan, the barman is fantastic, so friendly had us laughing every day The staff are a credit to the management at Reethi beach

This was our 9th visit to the Maldives and first time in Reethi Beach. The main factor driving us to choose Reethi was for the snorkelling and that was one part that was not a let down. We love to have a house reef straight from the beach and were blown away by how many eagle rays in particular we saw and spent time swimming with.... Saw turtles, black tip reef sharks and a few sleeping nurse sharks. We had not expected the accommodation to be amazing as we knew it was a little run down and that is true, but it was perfectly adequate and positioned just back from the beach. Food was ok, and there was enough choice but not spectacular... But we did not come for food. The part that did disappoint was service as the staff just seemed uninterested pretty much all the time.... Which was really annoying at times.

I had spent 10 nights in Reethi beach, with 7 year old child. It was actually 2021 October. (yes I am writing a review much later ^^; ) We chose the resort because we wanted to see Mantas in Hanifaru Bay. I want to talk about the Reethi Beach's "Safety" mindset in this review. The day we arrived in Male, the weather was crazy and stormy. We had to wait for our sea plane departure for 4-5 hours. It's the nature so it was nobody's fault. We managed to fly out to Reethi Beach, it was the last flight so it was between 3-4pm? I think. Thanks to the good pilots, we landed safely. But oh boy, the ocean was so rough, it was barely possible to keep standing on the deck! The boat from Reethi Beach came, no problem there. But the boat staff's safety mindset bothered me. Despite of super rough, stormy ocean, the boat staff didn't give us a life jacket. After 10mins of boat ride, us and other passengers were quiet, we were a bit afraid of the rough ocean. We felt danger. So I had to walk up to the staff to give us life vests, they gave us. They didn't seem to be bothered by the waves (sure, they are locals...) I realized that safety mindset is lower compare to those luxury 5 start resorts.... You also you pay $$ for safety - I remember that life vests were provided even with 10mins boat ride with 5 star resort. I felt like 5 star resort staff was more trained when it comes to safety. I talk strongly about this because I heard from another staff, that same day we traveled, a local mother and boy died. They were on a transfer boat somewhere in Maldives, the boat tipped over, they were thrown to the ocean and ... ended their lives. :( Please train staff about safety issues, mindset more. The resort itself, Reethi Beach was so beautiful, great a**osphere and friendly staff. I have no complains. Thank you for keeping the island so beautiful!

Without a doubt the best experience at a resort I have ever had! From the moment I got off the plane to the time I flew back, the service from all staff members were second to none. Special shout-out to Madu who made my stay all the more memorable.
