Stayed here on a G Adventures trip. Very comfortable bed, spacious room, great breakfast including bacon. Has sauna and a hot tub, lots of common areas including a telescope. Very friendly staff. Great fast Wi-fi. Best place stayed in Iceland.

Scenic location outside of Akureyri. The interiors are fresh and new. There’s a lit of parking. The hotel has many areas to sit and enjoy drinks, the view and just relax. Dinner at their restaurant was buffet only and at an overpriced sticker price of over ISK 7000 per person. Luckily we’d already eaten before we checked in. Breakfast was included and a buffet. There were two bus loads of German tourists staying overnight the same night as us. Breakfast was stressful. Only one coffee dispenser, for everyone going for breakfast at the same time. Long lines.

Very strange decor for a hotel. Pools were not as I felt described. Do splurge on the dinner buffet….it was homemade and a very good meal.

This hostel outside Akureyri has a big breakfast room, coffee and tea in this room are offered for free, so that it also functions as a lounge. Dart playing available in a room nearby, which allows to access a terrace from which one can also see polar lights when permitted by weather conditions. Good internet (which does not seem to be given for granted in Iceland). In the room: no water kettle, no fridge, no iron/iron board, no safe, no hairdryer, no toiletries except hand soap. TV. Furniture is very basic, pillows/duvet are good, beds are small (90x180cms ca.). No possibility to charge your mobile phone in the room, only in the bathroom, unless you have a cable with entry point usb mini instead of the classic usb plug. The luggage bank is very small. No eating facilities nearby. Breakfast starts at 7am.

Bad rooms leaking shower and terrible toilet position staff took the complain Bad said that I was rude when I was complaining I will never stay here again cause of bad organizing of room and also cause of Bad phonekonection in the rooms there is not possible to stay on the phone.

We were in the nearly renovated area. Everything was clean. Free coffee and tea. Spacey room. Excellent view from room.

Fine value for money. However, you can hear everybody in their rooms and in the hallway.

Located in a nice area. Easy to get to with lots of place to park.
Room was clean.
I would say this place offered THE MOST solid breakfast I had on my trip. They had scrambled eggs!
The one reason why I gave only a 4 star rating (and 3 stars for property condition) is the drain in my washroom. It was clogged or something as water would start boiling out of it while using the sink. How functional/clean a washroom is means a lot to me.
Were it not for the washroom, this place has an easy 5 star rating.
