A nice clean and simple business/ car traveler hotel near the highway. It has great amenities including a breakfast buffet and sento.

This is a very nice hotel, visible from the station. Although it's close by, it's actually right next door. The service was excellent, and the onsen, while small, was very clean. Breakfast, included in the price, was very good and promptly replenished. Sakura Higashine is a beautiful, cozy little town. I highly recommend a visit. There's a direct Yamagata Shinkansen from Tokyo to Sakura Higashine, but it runs every two hours. The Shinkansen to Yamagata Station runs every hour, and then the slower train takes about 40 minutes.

First time I saw a hotel put all the pillows in the lobby to choose from, there is free parking, but too late to come back will have no place to park, next door is AEON, super convenient, highly recommended!
