The good things: Large size, quiet, strong WiFi, shuttle bus connecting metro station, excellent reception and housekeeping services Things to improve: More lights (brighter, now too dark) in the lobby, corridor, better ventilation in the toilet in the room. Overall comment: Not conveniently located but well connected with shuttle bus. The room design is modern, and the size is large by Hong Kong standards. The price is reasonable.

I had a quite good stay in this accommodation.  The room was cleaned every day and towels were changed. It's not that inconvenient, it's only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the station. But it might be hard for people with weak legs or with stroller.

This is genuinely a hidden gem of a mini-hotel, offering fantastic value for money! First off, a huge thumbs-up! The front desk staff are highly professional and friendly. The concierge on the ground floor was very efficient with shuttle bus bookings, and check-out was quick. The service is impeccably organized. What's more, no deposit is required, which truly speaks to their sincerity and trust. Secondly, the hotel is situated halfway up a hill. Unless you take a taxi, 'climbing' is the word to describe getting to the hotel. Some of the steep sections reach a 40-degree incline, so it's only suitable for guests with good physical stamina. Thirdly, just around the corner, you'll find a park and a small shopping complex. You can grab a bite at McDonald's or Fairwood, or try some local congee and noodle shops. The hotel is located at the edge of a residential and industrial area. Fourth, the shuttle bus provides access to Tsuen Wan West Station (connecting to the Tuen Ma Line) and Kwai Fong Station (on the Tsuen Wan Line), with services running every hour. Fifth, the rooms are quite compact, so much so that there isn't a wardrobe. You'll have to hang your worn clothes on the tea table. This isn't a problem if you're traveling light, but two large suitcases will be a tight squeeze, and you'll be constantly stepping over them. Sixth, the non-smoking room was excellent, completely free of any smoke smell. It also had a tall air purifier (about half a person's height) which, despite being quite noisy, kept the air very fresh. Seventh, the room comes with an instant hot water dispenser. You fill it with tap water from the back, and it dispenses a small cup of 98°C water from the front in just five seconds. Eighth, being part of the Dorsett hotel group, it benefits from high-end management standards. The lobby and elevator areas are clean and bright. Ninth, I'd suggest the hotel reposition itself as a destination for guests seeking a hiking challenge, strategically located next to a massive outdoor swimming pool. While the gym is merely a converted room and only 'decent,' for those arriving with luggage, the climb up the 40-degree slopes offers a unique 'mountain climbing with bags' experience, leaving you sweating but exhilarated with a dopamine rush upon reaching the lobby. Post check-in, an 8-minute downhill stroll leads to the North Kwai Chung Jockey Club Swimming Pool, where you can enjoy a 50-meter outdoor standard pool and a 1-meter deep outdoor training pool, all for less than 20 HKD admission. It's truly like having an enormous pool facility right next to the hotel. Phenomenal value!!!! Count me in for the next swim!

I booked a double suite here a week ago. It was my first time in Hong Kong, and I assumed Mong Kok would be relatively unsafe. After reading numerous reviews of B&Bs, I felt even more apprehensive. So, I decided to stay for one night and then extend my stay if the environment was good. Arriving in Mong Kok, I was unfamiliar with the area, so I got lost for a while. Once I found my way, I discovered there were two entrances, one closed after 11 PM. There were also two elevators at each entrance, one for odd and one for even numbers. Upon check-in, the host was very welcoming. Perhaps because the double room was full or something else, they gave us a triple room with a window at no extra charge. The door had a combination lock, and the room was spotless, with spotless floors and immaculately white walls. There was no clutter on the bed, and the quilt was neatly folded. The bathroom was also spotless, with no odors or debris. It was a bit cramped, and the toilet had a long, lingering clatter after flushing, which I hope could be improved. There was also a small TV in the room, but the channel selection was a bit limited. The room also provided hangers, slippers, shampoo, and shower gel, but you had to bring your own toothpaste. Seeing this, I decided to renew my lease the next day. To my surprise, the double room seemed to be sold out. The landlord then asked me what I had paid for the room. Before I could find my bill, the landlord had already extended my stay for another night at 350 RMB, which was 2 RMB lower than the price on the platform! Overall, I personally felt the room was better than the promotional photos, exceeding my expectations. The landlord's service attitude also made me sincerely decide to write a positive review for her. 👍 I will definitely choose this B&B again next time.

Good location, very close to Mongkok station. The room is not big. Booked for 3 people, got 3 single beds. The entrance is a bit narrow for carrying luggage. Have to walk up the stairs and take the lift to the 4th floor to check in. The accommodation is on the 5th floor. The room is reasonably clean. The bathroom is not big according to the size of the room, but there is a separate toilet and shower area. Looks new. No breakfast, but near the market. Can walk to eat congee comfortably. The staff may mostly speak Chinese, but the service is good. There is only one officer. Went at the end of December.

I looked at hotels for a long time when I was traveling, and I chose this one in a few hours. I didn't expect it to disappoint me. The room was very clean and odorless, and it was very quiet to sleep. The boss also provided free drinks and the like. The law in Hong Kong is Disposable toothbrushes and slippers are not provided, so we brought our own. The room is large enough for accommodation and large suitcases can be opened. After all, land is very expensive in Hong Kong, and everyone will definitely go out to check in at the attractions. The location is also very good. It's about two minutes from the subway station. The boss is very polite and supports luggage storage. I wish the boss a prosperous business and we will come again next time!

Where to Stay in Hong Kong

  • Tsim Sha Tsui: Tsim Sha Tsui, located at the southern tip of the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong, is one of the most representative and bustling areas in the city. It boasts a rich historical background and a modern appearance, and is renowned for its busy commercial district and multicultural characteristics. It features luxury shopping centers, internationally renowned hotels and high-rise buildings. At the same time, it retains historical traces, with many ancient buildings and museums. Showcase Hong Kong's culture and history. And don't forget to take a stroll along the Victoria Harbour at night and enjoy the breathtaking night view of Harbour City!
  • Sham Shui Po: Neon-lit electronics graveyards hide 80HKD(≈15.6 AUD) coffin hostel beds above secret hipster cafes. Steps from the cyberpunk Apliu Street flea market (protip: hunt for retro cameras at 7am before tech geeks swarm). Hong Kong’s Khao San Road—backpackers slurp $18 fishball noodles under dystopian signage, but post-11pm, it morphs into a Blade Runner set.
  • Central & Lan Kwai Fong: By day, finance bros sprint through IFC Mall; by night, Champagne soaks historic cobblestones. Gay bars hide behind Hollywood Road graffiti, with designer hotels (1200−3000+HKD≈235-587 AUD) along the Mid-Levels Escalator. Live for 3am chilli crab with baijiu shots? This is your neon-drenched playground—but avoid NYE: LKF becomes a champagne-supernova warzone where stilettos jam in storm drains.
