We stayed at the hotel for two and a half weeks, which is a long time to celebrate a honeymoon. I saved up all my money for this trip, and I was really surprised when they asked for our marriage certificate but didn't offer us anything special, except for four rotten fruits and a bottle of sparkling wine that we didn't even drink. It was very disappointing that we had to sacrifice part of our private lives for nothing. In fact, there was not even a surprise for the honeymooners. On the positive side, we loved the gym because the person who worked there welcomed us warmly. Every day, they put the bottles in the fridge for us, which was nice. We also loved Sri, the waitress at the class restaurant, and Budi at the Bolly Bar. Budi impressed us because she remembered exactly what we wanted to drink and our first names. She was incredible. The live music was another highlight; there was a couple—a man and a woman—who sang and played guitar and piano. It was really extraordinary. We enjoyed the buffet food as much as the food in the class restaurant. We spent a lot of time in the class restaurant because at noon it was usually empty, so we felt like we had a private dining experience. It was beautiful. We also loved snorkeling and were thrilled to discover turtles in the water by ourselves, which felt very lucky. However, the excursions were disappointing, and the lack of personalized touches for our honeymoon left us unsatisfied. If you are planning a romantic trip, I would suggest avoiding this place. Despite its magical setting, the management failed to make any special efforts to enhance our experience. We eventually received personalized touches on our extended trip to Rome and Milan, which salvaged our overall experience. In the Maldives, the management didn’t make any effort, and if it weren’t for our trip to Italy afterward, we would have left with very negative feelings. Thanks to my efforts, my wife is now open to returning to the Maldives, but we are hesitant to stay at this hotel again. During our two and a half weeks' stay, there were no complimentary activities or massages offered, which is usually the case for honeymooners and extended stays. Typically, a 7-day stay at the hotel includes extras, free activities, and a free massage. We stayed for over 14 days, so we expected at a minimum that these benefits would be doubled. However, we received nothing additional. It felt like we were being punished for being on a honeymoon, which is very strange. We felt that the hotel was being stingy, and this impression tainted our experience. Next time, we think we'll choose the Four Seasons instead.
