Excellent hotel staff and service . The food provided is very good especially the Italian restaurant. The swimming pool is superior with beautiful scenery. Give us an unforgettable memory in Rhodes.

We absolutely loved this hotel. In particular the staff (who were always so attentive and friendly), the scale and beauty of the hotel itself (nothing in Faliraki remotely compares), and the incredible food (we never really wanted to leave the main buffet). We were so sad to leave, and will be visiting a Grecotel again in the future - we can’t wait

We have just returned and wish we have stayed more... Grounds are amazing and the staff is so friendly! All smiling and asking how you are? Are you having a good time? At the bar they remembered our drinks (favourite Pina colada☺️). The food was delicious and we enjoyed having our breakfast early in the morning when it is quiet. They arranged lunch baskets for us as we had booked a trip to Simi (a small island) with the concierge. Anything we needed, seemed so easy to be done and we had a relaxing holiday we will never forget. Thank you for that!

I chose this hotel from the reviews from previous years. So I was horrified when just before I came, I checked the reviews again and saw several bad ones. Well having spent six days here so far, I can only assume that they have taken on board the feedback. Either that or people were exaggerating! So I thought I would give my honest opinion as well as some tips to make the most of a stay here. Room- I was in one of the two storey blocks on the right hand side going down towards the beach. The room was large, nicely decorated, with a Nespresso machine and kettle. There was a welcome bottle of wine, some baclava, and soft drinks and water in the fridge. The bed and pillows were also really comfortable. The only criticism would be the lack of a full length mirror and strange placement of plug points, but these are minor points. We also had a balcony with a lovely sea view. Food- I would say that compared to similar size hotels I have stayed in, the choice of food in the buffet was limited. It didn’t bother me as I am not remotely fussy so was always able to find something and enjoyed what I had. Someone who is picky would probably struggle though. Also the food was sometimes not really hot. Drinks- these were excellent. It is the only all inclusive hotel I have been to where the wine was good. Not only that, but you could choose from a selection of wines and you could have the bottle which saved having to ask for another glass. The cocktails and other drinks were also good with lots of branded drinks. There were only two bars open, they probably need another one open. Alacartes- we ate in these and the food was really good. The only blip was in the Italian were we waited a while for our starters, then I had to send my pasta back twice as it was cold both times. Sunbeds- not sure why people were moaning about this as we always found some and they were so comfortable. Tips Download the app and check in before you go as it it speeds things up when you arrive. The bookings for the alacartes open on the weekend. I kept checking until I saw them open. It didn’t seem to work on my phone so I switched to my iPad and was able to book them. If you are at the pool, it’s better to go to the lobby bar, instead of the pool bar for drinks as there is never a queue. Also they put them in larger cups. Ask the bar staff for less ice in the drinks, if you want a longer drink. Work out which wines you like and take a photo of the labels so you can ask for them again. Overall I had a good experience at this hotel. I probably wouldn’t return but that’s because I prefer to try different places.

DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT Food: choices are very random and very limited, exactly the same every day. No English breakfast only frank sausages and uncooked/hot beans/bacon. No hash browns. Lunch and dinner is literally the exact same and doesn’t change we were here for 10 days and really struggled with the food as the quality was extremely poor too. Even the spaghetti bolognaise was like a child had cooked it in too much water - every day. Plain white rice which was uncooked majority of the time too. Chicken nuggets and pizza was about the only hot and properly cooked thing they had. Drinks awful, watery, barely any cocktails/mocktails or juices, beer extremely gassy too? Fruit is very limited like once it’s gone it’s gone… which we think most people opted for because the actual food was so bad. Sun loungers/pool: I’ve never been to a resort with such freezing cold pools… barely anyone was in them and everyone had the same reaction so the beach was crammed every day (though it is a decent beach with a beach bar/restaurant, shower, ramps, no disabled toilets anywhere near the beach though. I am a wheelchair user but a very independent one so this didn’t bother me but it would be a pain for anyone needing to use the loo often for whatever reason. Sun loungers are very comfy but when it’s very windy you can’t have the umbrellas up for safety, which is fine but you then have to pay if you want to use one of the shaded day beds (though it states everything is included in the price) got moaned at when moving the sun loungers so our heads were at least in the shade under a tree, ensuring people and buggies and wheelchair users could still get past this was still a problem as we were told to “pay for shade” absolutely awful. Especially as it was very obvious I have medical issues and literally am/look like a cancer patient with my chemo hat on. To the staff who clearly aren’t aware chemo can put you into early menopause so heat can be a real struggle but doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be able to go away and enjoy myself as all I needed was some shade over my head. They claim they have a spa but they do not, they have a very cold indoor pool that no one uses, a gym that’s only open from 10am-6pm and a sauna you have to pre-book to use and wheelchair users cannot fit in, they also say they are disabled/wheelchair friendly but there were no pool hoists, they just seemed to cheap out on absolutely everything. The umbrella situation has obviously been an issue for a while, a man got slammed by an umbrella and pushchairs/people’s personal items were flying everywhere. We had a manager come to speak to us when we moved our beds (less than a foot from where it was) telling us to put them back, when we said it was hardly fair or our fault they’re using cheap umbrellas and half concrete/air bases this was the first thing they’d bring up in their “meeting” yet I’ve seen many other reviews the same going back a year so they’re all talk and cheap out on everything t

Hotel grounds were very nice. Restauarant: Queueing to get a table, lack of staff and waited, or had to ask for drinks. Food cold and very little choice. One por lady sat on her chair and it broke with her landing on the floor. Not a good advert. Forget trying to get into an A la carte restaurant. There was never any availabilities. Not worth upgrading to All inclusive plus. Room: Nat as shown in the brochure. Damp, water dripping from the ceiling (their solution was to put towels on the floor) and looking out onto a noisy car park. Broken furniture and no robes as described. My daughters room was just as bad and had a broken patio door which was repaired on her last day even though it was reported early on in the holiday and nothing done until we saw the holiday rep. No shower glass panel in this room filling the bathroom with water which was not good with a 4 year old. We were all inclusive plus, but we had to ask for the bar to be filled. Only 4 fizzy drinks and a bottle of water. Hardly a bar. My husband and I should have had a garden room for the two of us, instead we were given a room with a double bed and two single beds and no other furniture to sit on. should have had a garden room, not a room looking out onto a noisy car park. Pool: very nice, but like most hotels beds were saved. The youngsters pool slides waer closed for a coupe of days as they were being repaired. Beach: Lovely beach with penty of comfortable sun beds. Bars: The beach bar, we queued for 40 mins one day to get a drink and most days at least 20 mins. The lobby bar, we had to sit down and wait for our drinks in the evening and could take up to half an hour to get our drink. I was upset about having paid out so much and not received what the brochure advertised. I would not return to this hotel and wouold advise anyone that has booked it to try and change to another. If you still want to go GOOD LUCK !!!!

We stayed here for a week with our 9 month old baby and it was perfectly fine, but there is definitely room for improvement. Room – we ended up upgrading, at the suggestion of the hotel, to a Family Guestroom with Seaview so we could have a bath in the room. The room was a good size and the hotel provided a cot, baby bath (although this leaked), a change mat and steriliser. However, there was no blackout so we were woken up very early every morning. Additionally, the window to our balcony appeared to be damaged and rattled throughout the night with the breeze. The hotel appears to have attempted to fix it with gaffer tap but it hasn't worked. The seaview was nice and the balcony had the sun in the morning, but by the afternoon was in the shade. We requested a late check out so we could enable our baby to have an afternoon nap and contacted the hotel in advance of our stay. We were advised that late check out could be discussed during our stay, however when we asked at the hotel we were told that this couldn't be confirmed until the night before we left. In the end we got just one additional hour (12pm rather than 11am) as the hotel was fully booked. As such, we had to set up our travel cot in the lobby for our child as we had over four hours to wait until we were picked up. Food – as a guest you are able to book one visit per week to each of the al a carte restaurants. These reservations are made via the app, but the opportunity to book only opens once a week at an unspecified time on either a Saturday or Sunday. Due to the lack of clarity, you end up spending large parts of the weekend checking the app which removes some of the relaxing aspect of being on holiday. Additionally when the booking window did eventually open, the app didn't work for us so we ended up booking via reception. As the opportunity to book only opened towards the end of our stay, we were only able to visit two of the restaurants – the Greek and Asian. The Greek was a nice experience for some variety, although I'd suggest taking a jacket as it was very breezy! The Asian was better, but I'd suggest providing more than three prawn crackers per table. The buffet was fine, but there wasn't much in the way of variety and became quite repetitive after a couple of days. As someone who is gluten free, I found the options very limiting. Prior to arriving we advised the hotel and were assured that the food in the buffet would be well labelled. This absolutely was not the case – at breakfast there were only a handful of labels and at lunch and dinner where there were labels it was questionable (e.g. gluten free pork but pittas were in the same tray). The staff, however, were lovely and made a huge fuss over our baby and they always sought to get us seated quickly. Drinks – it wasn't clear what drinks were available and it was often challenging to get a drink. In the evening the hotel offers table service in the bar, however we often had to go up to the bar to be served as no

Wow where do we start ,we was greeted at the hotel doors by a lovely lady but that’s all the nice bits done now We were then taken to secluded corner where our passports were taken and we were left for 45 minutes , so I had to go find out what’s going on The lady that greeted us was with another family and said she would be over shortly, she left us waiting a further 15 minutes and returned with no drinks of apologies We were asked to sign a form and shown to our room We dropped our bags and came back to the bar , where we tried to work how how to order a drink We were told to sit down after waiting at the bar 20 mins but there was no where to sit So we agreed to wait at the bar where the bar staff couldn’t serve us , we waited a further 30 mins for our drinks ( absolute joke ) The night. Buffet was so so poor , some stale sandwiches and dried out pizza Things didn’t improve All meals were the same we waited 25 minutes to be seated to a dirty table with no cutlery and no one to offer us drinks The buffet food is luke warm at a push and unappetising The wait at the pool bar was 30-40 minutes for a drink So we ate out most nights There are not enough sun lounges either and the lactate restaurants were all booked up as they only cater for 18 Please do not book in here this hotel staff are under immense pressure and cannot supply the demand The worst service I have ever experienced especially from krystina the manager , full of empty promises , she just fobbs you off The staff would all eat in the same restaurant to , one staff member took the last piece of pizza left and the chef said we’re not cooking any more This hotel should be called dumber and dumber

Honestly a below 4* experience despite picturesque settings. The service is slow and mainly rude except a few exceptional waiters and bartenders who made you feel welcome. Avoid if you are vegetarian because nothing is labelled in the buffet except for French fries and olives which you’ll be living off. The same salads change from veggie to non veggie every day- one day it had ham, one day it didn’t, one day it was veggie the next the same thing had salmon in which I unfortunately ate and they really did not care even tho I was chill about it and letting them know dietary are important. The room came with two twin singles pushed together, not ideal for a couple and they made us wait a day for it to be changed for no reason because they just put a topper on it anyway. Entertainment was on 1 night out of the 5 which was a good vibe but not consistent. We waited an hour for drinks at the bar until they started implementing ‘sit down I will bring it to you’ which was better. It’s a decent location from Rhodes sightseeing so I’d recommend to just use the hotel as a base but don’t rely on it for a guaranteed good time. They do need to improve on a variety of things as many were complaining about the service but at least the drinks were nice and the mini bar was free :)
