Friendly personnel, good location close to the city center, pretty nice restaurant. Pretty poor breakfasts with nearly the same options every day. There is electric kettle in room but cord is too short and I had to use cup as stand while boiling water. Bathroom is average and saw better times, hot water 24/7. Premium rooms have AC but no fridge. No coffee table only narrow console along the wall you can use to store something. Wardrobe is just big box with one shelf and several thin clothes hangers. Stable wife connection. Pretty good price to quality ratio comparing with nearby places.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad you appreciated our friendly team, convenient location, and restaurant. We also value your honest comments on areas we can improve. We apologise for the limited breakfast variety and the kettle cord issue – we will look into these immediately. Your suggestions about the bathroom, fridge, and room furniture are helpful, and we will consider them as we continue to improve our facilities. It’s great to hear you found the price and quality reasonable, and we hope to welcome you back for an even better experience in the future.Thank you again,Saidat

Friendly staff and a good breakfast. Happy they have tea/coffee making in room which is very rare in Uganda. Nice gym area and have been creative with outdoors making it a nice place for computer work or chatting to friends.

Very clean, kind people. The restaurant has a wider variety of food, drink and they have a very clean vibe. There is a nice shop.
Response from Property: Thank you and we hope to see you again!

It was very good, friendly staff members and good location but the internet is very slow in the room so you have to use it at the front
Response from Property: Thank you! We have since fixed the internet issue and added a gym area and new working lounge.

This was my first time at this hotel, but it had a good rating, so I decided to stay there. When I arrived, the surroundings were filled with greenery, and my expectations were quite high, but I was surprised when I entered the room.
I actually like clean and simple rooms, but it was too bleak, and the toilet and bathroom were like a prison.
The paper folder was left broken, there was no hand towel on the sink, and there were no amenities at all.
I think it's not a problem because many travelers prepare their own, but most places provide soap for washing your hands, but this was not there either.
The toilet paper was placed directly on the tank, and there was nothing else.
There was an electric kettle and a 500ml bottle of water. This was good.
Many hotels have decorations and paintings reminiscent of Africa or Uganda, but there was nothing in the room.
As soon as I entered the room, I regretted booking this hotel. The only towel in the room was a bath towel. It was the thinnest bath towel I've ever seen in a hotel, and I couldn't believe my eyes several times, wondering if it had been placed incorrectly.
I was very worried because a similar towel was folded in half and placed on the floor as a bath mat.
The cleaning nozzle in the toilet was broken and no water came out.
I had booked for two nights, so I stayed, but no one came to clean until I checked out.
The room key was not a card key, but an old-fashioned insert and turn key. It was very hard and difficult for women and the elderly to use. It was difficult to tell if the door was locked, and I was very worried about security.
Good points
1. There was a shop on the premises and you could buy water.
2. Hot water came out of the shower.
3. There was a charging socket under the desk.
Having stayed in Uganda for over 50 nights, I felt that there were plenty of other hotels to choose from for this price.
This was the first hotel in Kampala that I felt I never wanted to come back to.
The booking class was not the cheapest promotion. The room I stayed in just happened to have a lot of problems.

I had a great experience at Explorers Hub in Kampala. The place is spotlessly clean and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable stay. It's located in a quiet yet central area—perfect for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit, always ready to assist with anything I needed. You can really feel the care they put into making guests feel at home. I’d definitely stay here again!

Very nice place at a great location. Staff was very friendly and adjustable (we had an early 6 am a la carte breakfast), they also gave us a free breakfast with our early check in the first day. Room was clean and tidy. Restaurant was great, buffet breakfast was very good. Location is good in a safe area - you'll be using Uber to get around Kampala anyway so it doesn't really make much sense to be right in the centre of the city.
Response from Property: "Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay, from our friendly team to the delicious breakfast and great location. It’s great to hear that our flexibility made your experience even better. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back again soon!" Regards, Saidat

We stayed at Explorer’s Hub four times during our two week stay in Uganda! It was perfect for us as we needed a night in Kampala after arriving and before leaving as well as in between trips to Murchison Falls, Jinja and Bwindi. We were welcomed with open arms every time and they even accommodated our request for an early breakfast to help us set off to Murchison Falls National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest nice and early. It is a great location with bustling nightlife on a short distance away. Some places are full until 6am at weekends. They also looked after one of our bags in between our stays for free. I couldn’t recommend more highly.
Response from Property: Hello Peter, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful review of Explorer's Hub! We're thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic experience with us during your multiple stays in Kampala. We're delighted that our welcoming team made you feel at home and accommodated your requests, such as the early breakfasts to help you embark on your adventures. Our location is indeed perfect for those who want to experience the city's vibrant nightlife while having a comfortable base. Your kind words about our extra services, like looking after your bag between stays, mean a lot to us. We're glad we could provide that extra convenience. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back to Explorer's Hub in the future! king regards, Saidat

Great place to stay and see the city. Like its own bubble in the middle of Kampala it offers lovely peaceful surroundings. The staff are beautiful people welcoming and friendly. Definitely a must stay. The restaurant Revive is amazing honestly I had a great time!! They also have an organic market and lots of events like street food to quiz nights. I loved it.

I had two very good stays at Explorers Hub. The rooms are clean and comfortable, gardens are pleasant, and the atmosphere is great. Fantastic location and very safe and secure. A real highlight are the facilities available on sight: a small store selling food, drinks, and other goods, much of it local; a small homewares boutique; and the Revive restaurant, which does good food at fair prices and is a very comfortable and attractive setting to relax and enjoy a drink. The staff were all wonderful and very friendly and were always looking to help and respond to any request. Looking forward to returning.

As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and happy staying here! They offered a great price for laundry, all the staff were so nice and helpful, the breakfast buffet was amazing, and the rooms were so clean! Also, it's incredible that the restaurant offers vegan and organic options. Moreover, I love that there is a wine shop on the premises and a local shop offering African-made products! The only two drawbacks that I will mention is that I had to ask for coffee every morning at breakfast. This would often take 15-20 minutes to serve and I was surprised that coffee wasn't already offered. Also, every morning they started sweeping just outside of the rooms. I could hear this loud broom along the floor at 7:30 am so if you like to sleep in then you need to either bring ear plugs or stay at a different hotel. For some reason, the sweeping was so loud and I was woken up every morning (even with earplugs).
Response from Property: Hi! Thank you so much for your review! You will be happy to know we have worked on both of the issues mentioned above: the coffee and the sweeping! Coffee is now always available on time at breakfast and the sweeping only starts after 9:30am! Thank you and apologies for the issues. We hope to see you again!

I stayed at the Explorers Hub for one night at the end of my three week safari trip through Rwanda/Uganda and was truly positively surprised by the great value for money! The team of the hotel and adjacent restaurant was very friendly and attentive, the room (with A/C) spacious and clean, the shower had great water pressure, wifi was stable and breakfast (and dinner) were copious and delicious. I wish more places in Uganda lived up to these standards! Only a minor criticism from a holiday-maker who wants to sleep in: I appreciate a clean environment but I woke up from the slightly excessive sweeping in the courtyard in front of my room, which commenced around 7.30am.
