I expected more from Glö than I received. I chose Glö as a "treat" for a couple's getaway, as it was a newer hotel and appeared like it would be snazzier than the usual fare. Pros: The bathroom was very nice, and the complimentary toiletries are top notch. The rooms are very clean. The mattress was very comfortable and the TV was a decent size. Cons: The rooms are incredibly small, and while they are nicely furnished, the tiny "couch" seat was more form than function (i.e. prettier than it was comfortable). The front desk staff seemed very new and clueless on basic hospitality essentials, like how to work the in-room television. It also took ages for a response from front desk on how to work the TV and the issue wasn't even resolved. I probably will not stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone I know, as there are so many hotels to choose from in Kanata that offer better, more knowledgeable service and better pricing.

Not many food options for breakfast

Was not impressed will not be going back. The staff was very rude and spoke to me as if I didn't know what I was talking about.

Nice. It looks like a new hotel. Hotels in Canada are very clean. Slippers and toothbrushes are not provided. Tea and coffee are available for free.

Nice service upon check in and out. Shower pressure wasn’t great and we could hear people running above us so sound proofing could be better. Clean and quiet, otherwise. Nice place and reasonable rate.

Mattress cover had stains, needs to be changed for ALL guest. Black out curtains were great, woke up in the morning and still thought it was dark outside. Bathroom definitely needs a door or the sliding door needs to clothes tighter. Leaves a big gap that you can see in.

The rooms were clean and large enough. The hot breakfast option was the same all three days we were there but there were choices for everyone. Some staff were not friendly or courteous

Nice clean and quiet facility. Also close to Canadian Tire Centre which was our main reason for being in the city.

Nice, quiet, basic hotel. Close for grocery shopping, LCBO, restaurants only about a 5 minute drive. I would recommend this hotel.

Noisy - right next to freeway with lots of road noise at night. Turned out that a sports team was located on my floor and they played golf in the hallway - I asked to be relocated ath the front desk - they said they would call and they never did. Housekeeping hit or miss. Breakfast so so.

Front desk staff were less than friendly. They weren’t rude per se, but they definitely weren’t even trying to be friendly. I was staying for 4 nights. I woke up around 4AM and noticed the smoke detector in the room was blinking red every 10 or so seconds. I tried calling down to the front desk at least 10 times with no answer. Then I called the hotel from my cell phone thinking maybe my room phone wasn’t working… and no answer. So I turned to Google and after an exhausting search, I discovered that the blinking red light means a history alert that the detector had recently gone off…so I was able to go back to sleep without worry there was CO leaking into the room. When I approached the front desk about it the next day and asked why no one was working through the night, they said yes…we were here (they weren’t). He wrote it in a notebook and then I never heard another thing about it. Spoiler- it didn’t get fixed. Then on my 3rd day, I wasn’t feeling well and ordered a Starbucks from Uber Eats. The front desk wouldn’t allow the driver to bring it up to my room. I’ve never ever heard of this before! So I had to get dressed and come down. My every interaction with the staff was one of apathy and just simply the feeling of them not giving a sh*t. I wasn’t looking for white glove service, but simple courtesy or even an apology for the smoke detector drama would have been appreciated. The hotel itself seems new, beds are comfortable and clean. If only they had better trained staff

Very nice hotel. Only one bad side the breakfast was just ok. Eggs were cold, sausages were cooked too much, they were hard to chew.
