The accommodation was very nice and clean with a gorgeous view of the mountains and the river. Its garden in the backyard is also beautiful with a lot of different plants. The host was very welcoming and friendly and arranged a tuk tuk for us when we left the villa. The breakfast they prepared was delicious, again with a great view from the terrace.

Villa Mount Melody is situated in the hilly side of Kandy. It is about 10 mins by tuktuk to the city. It is a beautiful and very tastefully decorated villa. The master bedroom was simply amazing. The view from the balconies was breathtaking. We could see the hills and the river flowing. We could have just stayed at the villa for the entire day and enjoyed the view if we had an extra day in our itinerary. Dhananjay was the in charge and he took excellent care of all our requests. He prepared a sumptuous breakfast for us on both days that we were there and helped us with ordering our tuktuks through the PickMe app. He was very obliging and always helped us with a smile. The owner's parents live just next door and they are a lovely couple. It was wonderful getting to know them and they gave us a lot of helpful tips on where to shop in Kandy.

Super fab place. We only stayed one night and had one day in kandy, but the room was super nice and clean, came with soap, bodywash, and some shampoo. The views are super nice and the area is peaceful. Walking back at night gets a little dark so tuktuking is a much better option if you can. But walking during the day is no problem. However, be warned that it’s very much a 20-30 min walk up and downhill. Breakfast was super super nice and filling and the staff were so nice and friendly. Probably the nicest night sleep we had in all of Srilanka.
