Staff is very friendly and spoke a little English. The hotel itself has very wide hallways and is clean and well maintained. Location is right in the middle of the town and is very convienent.

The main purpose of this trip is to come here to soak in the hot springs. I stayed here for 3 days and felt very good. The small town of Arima is full of bathing hotels. When walking around Arima town, it seems that there are not many Chinese tourists, and most of them are Japanese tourists on weekends. The hotel where I stayed was very quiet because children were not welcome and children under 12 years old were not allowed to stay. In particular, I would like to talk about the service of this hotel. The first is the catering. They will make various adjus**ents to your three-day meal. Although they are all set meals, they will make different combinations of various ingredients. The only drawback is that the dinner is too large. Let's talk about the service. It should be first-class. When you walk into the hotel, someone will take the initiative to take your luggage. When you check in, your luggage has been sent to the guest room. When you arrive at the front desk, After verifying your identity, a service lady will take you to the guest room, and then carefully introduce you to various service facilities and everything you need to know. The hotel's cleaning is also very unique. Daily cleaning is carried out by a service lady who leads all the cleaning staff. The cleaning staff have their own division of labor. They clean the floor, make the beds, tidy the bathroom, and organize tea sets and food. It is operated by different people to ensure that people doing hygiene will not touch the tea sets and food. Let’s also talk about the language. Although there are no Chinese-speaking staff in the hotel, with the translation software and the staff’s serious and enthusiastic service attitude, there is no obstacle. The biggest emotion is that there are not many people here during the Spring Festival, so I really enjoy it

Every time I go to Japan, I try a hot spring hotel. This hotel does not accept children, which is what I like. The receptionist had language problems and we spent a long time communicating in the room to introduce her. The service was very good. In addition, I paid an extra fee to experience the private bath. There are two pools, golden bath and ordinary bath. It is just right for two people to soak in, which is very good! Moreover, the food here tastes good and the location is easy to find.

The kaiseki cuisine needs to be improved compared to other hotels and restaurants I've stayed at. Everything else is fine.

The location of the hotel is convenient. We saw the hotel sign as soon as we drove to the hot spring street. The service was great and the room was very comfortable and clean. Because it is not the peak season, there is no one at all when you go to the hot springs, which is almost like a private bath.

This is my second time to stay at Zuien, last time it was 2014 and I did have a great memory, so I decided to take my parents to come here. No doubt it’s a pleasant stay, we booked open air bath room for 2 nights and my parents are so amazing about the room. Food is also delicious, we had breakfast and dinner at chief’s counter, there’s a Chinese waitress who is very friendly and helpful, my parents are very happy during meal time. Overall, it’s a great Onsen hotel to relax yourself.

As of October 2022, this Ryokan does not accommodate English-speaking guests. I called several times, staff would just hang up the phone. Trying to book a reservation for a 2-night stay but met with cold hostility. Maybe things have changed since the pandemic but they need time to get used to non-Japanese guests. For visitors from outside of Japan, I suggest calling around other Ryokans in the area to make sure the staff treats non-Japanese guests with kindness.

Probably the best onsen spot in Arima! The staff and service was remarkable. They serve you handmade matcha and Kinoko odango when you arrive. The experience and atmosphere felt as if I came to Japan's country side.

I went with my family for Obon, which was expensive. It was originally said to be one of the most luxurious inns in Arima Onsen, and is highly rated on the Tano website. However, our impression was that the price and hospitality did not match. Hospitality and services provided by inns and other facilities include hard parts such as facilities and soft parts such as hospitality. The physical aspects are wonderful, as others have praised, such as the location and the luxury of the facilities. However, the hospitality was not good at all. First of all, when I arrived by car, there was no one to greet me. It was my first time to experience something like this. Dinner was teppanyaki, so we had it in a special room, and the three of us sat side by side at the counter, and while serving the meal, we said things like, ``This is sashimi...''. Since the explanation was given, there were many things that I couldn't understand or hear, and this was my first experience. In the several hotels I've stayed at, after the meal was served, I thought it was normal for them to say, ``This is 〇〇, please add this to your meal.'' I was shocked that an inn that costs 65,000 yen per person per night would be treated like this. They would ask guests who seemed to be regulars, ``How do you like the food?'' but we never did that, and even when we asked questions about the food, they responded rather bluntly, and we didn't feel like asking any more. is also gone. When the meal was over and we were leaving, he saw me off in front of the elevator, but I don't think there was any point in seeing me off like that. There is no one to see you off when you check out. Even when I greeted the front desk staff by saying thank you for their help, the staff members were talking to each other just by glancing at me. It was an inn where "high price = good service" did not hold true.

I flew from Akita Prefecture to Itami Airport and was delayed due to the weather 💦 I couldn't take the direct bus to Arima Onsen, so I took a train to Arima Onsen at 7pm ♨️ I arrived at Zuien feeling exhausted. I was tired, but as soon as I entered the room, I ate a teppanyaki steak in the chef's room and was very satisfied. I would like to enjoy a luxury inn more slowly💦

The service was very attentive and attentive throughout, and the whole family was smiling the whole time! thank you very much!

As expected, it was a good accommodation with no complaints.
