However, despite the hotel being advertised as non-smoking, the room had a strong smell of tobacco. Every time we returned, we had to open the windows for at least 30 minutes just to make it breathable. The curtains, in particular, had a very strong odor, which lingered no matter how much we tried to ventilate the space, morning or evening. We only interacted with the staff briefly, and while they couldn’t offer a solution to the issue, they were friendly and provided good customer service. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy my stay due to the persistent smell. As a non-smoker, it was unpleasant, and I ended up leaving with all my clothes smelling like tobacco.

The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The location is convenient as it is near the train station. I also had a great breakfast there.

Far from the center of Kobe/Sannomiya so do not expect the area to be busy. Also the hotel has started to show its age but no complaints considering the very attractive price point.

The check-in process was fast - I arrived a few minutes before 10pm so was relieved that someone was there. The room was compact but comfortable. Had all the basics like kettle and towels. The location is walking distance to many temples and restaurants so very convenient. The walking path from the hotel starts with a quiet narrow street. It's also near public transit including JR train for connection to other major cities. There isn't any meal service onsite but there's a kiosk in the lobby so you can grab a snack, if needed. The common areas are well kept and room was clean. I was on an upper floor and there isn't a remarkable view. It's convenient that the windows open and there is a thermostat on the wall so you can regulate the temperature.
