The location of the hotel is fantastic actually. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We are in the heart of the city. The only downside is that the rooms although all are non-smoking rooms are filled with cigarette smell. Seems like the management didn't enforce the regulation to stop guests from smoking. One night the smoke alarm went off because some guests were smoking in the room.
As a non smoker, i cannot stand even the faint smell of cigarettes. Some rooms smell so strong that I request for a change of room. Other than that, this hotel is actually very good.

The room so far is kinda small, but so far ok. For quick stay so far ok, else will be difficult for my big luggage arrangement. The bathroom temperature Abit tricky

The hotel is quite new; I noticed it only opened at the end of 2023. Its location is excellent, with convenient transport links. Being in the city center near the old street entrance and during the summer holidays, the room rates were relatively high, which is understandable. The rooms are a bit on the small side. Given its street-facing location in a lively area, the lack of soundproofing is understandable. Service was acceptable; the front desk staff even helped me secure a discount for my extended stay.

Overall, the hotel is quite good. Firstly, the location is absolutely fantastic. The old street is just around the corner, and the famous 'wine glass' landmark building, a popular photo spot, is less than 100 meters behind the hotel. Taxis are readily available right outside, making getting around incredibly convenient.
Secondly, the front desk service truly deserves commendation. The check-in process was warm and meticulous, with every detail handled perfectly. We arrived quite early with our child, and our room wasn't ready yet. A staff member at the front desk kindly helped us with check-in and then arranged for us to wait in the second-floor lounge. She thoughtfully brought us tea and offered hot milk and cookies to our child. She also proactively carried our luggage to the room once it was ready. Furthermore, she provided complimentary non-slip slippers for our child, advised us on shower safety (mentioning the need to use disposable slippers over water shoes for better grip), and explained how to operate the air conditioning. Their thoughtfulness was truly exceptional.
Additionally, they provided excellent recommendations regarding local dining. They pointed out delicious, authentic local dishes and warned us about places to avoid or 'tourist traps.' When we inquired about routes to other attractions, they were always patient and helpful in looking up the information for us.

My first trip to Kunming started with a disastrous hotel experience. What kind of quality can you expect from a nearly 600 RMB-a-night hotel? First, it's a test of your physical endurance. There's no elevator, so if you don't have the muscle to haul your luggage, you're not fit to stay on the third floor. After passing this physical challenge, a cramped room awaits, with peeling paint on the walls serving as your 'reward' for all that effort. I thought that was the worst of it, but what a surprise awaited me when I tidied the bedding in the middle of the night: a tattered, hole-ridden 'beggar's edition' sheet that kept me awake all night. It truly made me marvel at how such 'thrifty' business practices still exist in modern society – literally 'one item passed down through three generations, outliving its guests!' And did I think I could finally drift off to sleep under this threadbare relic? Absolutely not. When I could finally sleep depended entirely on whether the neighbors next door were asleep, because soundproofing was non-existent. After that night, my bad impression wasn't limited to the hotel; I started to have a bad impression of Kunming as a whole.
After checking out, I filed a complaint with Ctrip. What was reassuring was that their customer service quickly intervened and resolved the issue for me. Their efficiency was excellent.

We stayed here for one night as a transit stop, and it served its purpose well. The room was a bit small but comfortable enough for a short stay. The location is great — just a short walk to Cuihu Park and about 300m away; there is a halal food restaurant, which was a big plus for us. Overall, it's a convenient and decent choice for a quick stay in the city. It's about 20 minutes to Kunming Railway Station North Entrance.

I would recommend this inn. Very cosy and wonderful host. Mandy is very friendly and very prompt in her respond when you need assistance. She helps to organised our day tour and the homecook breakfast is simple and delicious . Love the ambience in the inn.
