Roaring Brook Ranch Resort

Definitely not what we expected. Nothing that was advertised was available, not even the pool. Arrived around 7:30pm on a Friday and the young guy at the desk was getting ready to leave our key in an envelope taped to the door so he could leave, we caught him just in time. Asked about the pool and other accommodations and “he did not know”. Was extremely boring sitting in the room with none of the activities that were advertised available. Didn’t even see a horse :(

The rooms small bad poor lighting needs updating in the 1970’s bathroom We came in no one check us in no Id check Our name on the counter with in a white envelope will not come back here again The place needs many updates

Location was beautiful, the grounds are amazing. We came off season so restaurant/bar were both closed. Newly renovated rooms.

There’s a lot to say about this place and my experience but I just want to forget about it and NEVER go back.

Perfect location: close to the main drag in the village and close to the outlets going the other way. The cleanliness was a little lacking, as there was some hair and toothpaste on the bathroom sink and money left on the nightstand. The property is under new ownership and has great potential. Excited to see the changes that are to come.

The front door sticks, hard to get in and out of building! Linens stained! Wash cloth with brown stain! Not to mention there was a cricket that sown the night in the room! Bathroom floor was dirty! Needless to say we checked out early and was told we would be receiving a refund for one night and have yet to receive it! ******* was notified and roaring brook ranch was notified! The worst place I’ve ever stayed at!

The staff was great every one was helpful place lost electricity because of a storm moved us to new rooms had a problem and took care of it most off the place is remodeled rooms were clean this place is quiet will stay there next year tom

After all the hype about lake George, we got to our destination, it looked very run down! They told us they had just taken over the business the front desk person was the owner he was very nice! Once we got checked in went to our room and surprise the place looked like they just made the bed! Very dusty humid the ac was loud. The place had a musky smell. We stayed for the night the bed was very itchy we figured by the morning it would get better but no! Got up for breakfast which they told us they had a chef they would cook breakfast that we would have to pay which was cool, went there and the place was empty they had some bagels some fruit coffee the toaster didn’t work 😡. The best and only good part was the horses! The ppl who ram the horses were very nice ppl. Got back to our room after the horseback riding my wife got an allergic reaction to the dust! We decided to pack our stuff and proceeded to check out! We planned to stay two nights we ended up there for just one night. And got charged for two!
