Room Type: Deluxe Quadruple Room
Pros:
1. The room is spacious and even has two toilets and two sinks.
2. The location is close to the MRT station, which is convenient.
3. The soundproofing seems good; I wasn't disturbed by other guests during my four-night stay.
4. The mattress was comfortable – not too soft, not too firm, with a bouncy yet supportive feel.
5. The water pressure was strong, the flow was fast, and the water temperature was consistent. There's also a bathtub for soaking.
Cons:
1. The room cleaning was inadequate; there were still many long hairs left on the floor from previous guests.
2. For a quadruple room, there was only one chair at the dining table. If you wanted to eat or chat in the room, you'd have to sit on the bed.
3. Only bath towels were provided, no hand towels, which made it inconvenient to dry hands after washing.
4. For a quadruple room, there was only a small wardrobe and one luggage rack. Extra belongings had to be placed on the floor.
5. Because the room was large and the TV was far away, it looked a bit small and wasn't very satisfying to watch.
6. Parking spaces are limited and small, so during peak times, you might not find a spot.

Great location, very close to the MRT station. The room was clean and the bed was big and comfortable. Free parking was included for one stay. I've stayed here twice now and really like it; I'll definitely recommend it to friends.
Fuss free easy check in through the car park drive thru guard post. Accommodating with our side by side room request and extended one hour early check-in grace for our family with young children. Thank you Hub Hotel Xintai as this made it easy for me to quickly wind down my over tired children from the long car ride. The convenience of not having to take down our heavy luggage from the car saved us time, energy and provided so much convenience. Room was very clean, spacious and newly renovated. Bathtub was a nice have for my young children and we actually liked that the shower pressure was kept moderate to prevent water ponding and allow for a comfortable shower. TV was big and my children could watch some movies and YouTube channels which kept them occupied whilst I re-pack our luggage for departure just outside our room and right by our car. Highly recommend their room with garage if you are driving! It’s such a rare find in New Taipei City area with affordable accommodation pricing. Clean, convenient, spacious, comes with your own door step carpark and free flow snacks and ice cream! Sit in the car and check-in with sleepyhead children was so convenient and fuss free.
This hostel is by far the worst I've ever stayed at, with the most complaints and negative feelings. Firstly, it's located on the 10th floor of a building with multiple KTVs and nightlife venues downstairs. The people coming and going are quite shady, and there's no security personnel to monitor or control them, making personal safety a real concern. Secondly, the building's entrance and central plaza are very messy and run-down. The elevator is old, smells terrible, and I was genuinely worried about its safety. Thirdly, the room type I booked online didn't match the one I was given (the actual room had an awkward, irregular shape). Fourthly, there's no phone in the room. If you have a question or need help, you always have to leave your room and go to the front desk to ask the staff, which is very inconvenient for guests. Fifthly, when something accidentally fell under the bed, I discovered how incredibly dirty it was, with lots of dust and uncleaned empty drink bottles. It made sleeping on the bed feel very uncomfortable. Sixthly, the bed in the room was the smallest double bed, and I found the pillows to be unsuitable. After sleeping there for two consecutive nights, I woke up with a headache that lasted all day, which was very unpleasant. Seventhly, the TV and remote control weren't linked. Every time I wanted to turn the TV on or off, I had to get out of bed and manually operate it, which was quite inconvenient. (Plus, there were no good channels available, only boring programs I didn't want to watch, which was very disappointing.) Eighthly, the hostel doesn't provide breakfast, and check-out is at 11 AM. Given the environment and price, the value for money is definitely not high.

We booked 3 rooms here including daily breakfast.
The rooms were okay and had enough space to put luggage.
Just the sound isolation was not good because we can hear the next door guests using the toilet and shower sound very clearly.
Amenities in the rooms are sufficient, daily room cleaning, top up mineral water bottles, but not changing towels everyday.
The breakfast varieties were okay, just sufficient and different food except the breads and the porridge.
The staff from the reception counter until the kitchen staff were really friendly and helpful
And the most important thing was this hotel was quiet in the night time so we can sleep well
The bad side was the cleanliness of the bed and pillow not clean. My sister's body got itchy and rashes on the last day before checking out.
I felt itchy on the first day of staying there.
Over all it was a nice hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at Via Hotel Breeze in Taipei. They have a free foot‑spa hot water soaking tub with lavender bath powder, and we used it every night after a long walk; it really soothed our tired and sore feet.
The hotel also provides simple breakfast, tea time, and late‑night snacks, with a coffee latte machine, bakery items, snacks, and a ramen bar, which was very convenient.
The room and bed are spacious, and although the room décor looks a bit outdated, everything is overall clean and comfortable.
The front desk staff are very concierge‑style and friendly. They helped us arrange a private tour guide with driver service at a reasonable price, and we booked a full‑day trip to the east coast through them. It was very convenient and made our sightseeing much easier.
Overall, it was a relaxing stay and we would be happy to come back.

🎉I booked a double room at this hotel and was very satisfied with my stay.
1. The environment was pleasant, the room was very quiet, and the space was large—I even felt it was more spacious than the balcony room.
2. The elevators are equipped with access control and do not display floor numbers, which provides a sense of privacy.
3. The location is convenient, with both a metro station and bus stops nearby.
4. The front desk service is excellent—staff are proactive and patient.
💡That said, there are a few details I hope the hotel can improve:
1. One of the elevators does not require access control and allows entry to any floor.
2. Housekeeping is generally good, but sometimes snacks and tea bag are not replenished. I really enjoy the hotel’s snacks and the green tea they provide.
3. Breakfast offers four set menus, which are quite refined, but a self-service option might be even better. 🧳Overall, my journey was very smooth, and staying at this hotel made my time in Taiwan even more enjoyable.
For context, I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.
Pros:
* Price. It’s a budget hotel! I paid about $40usd per night.
* Location. Very close to all the bus stations and train stations you will need to start exploring Taipei.
* Hotel staff were friendly.
* My bed sheets were clean. Due to other reviews I was concerned about that.
* Good wifi connection. Had an international video call no issues. No random disconnects.
* Pretty quiet area. You can hear city noises such as cars and motorcycles in the area but its not disturbing my sleep or hotel enjoyment.
* There is several convinience stores nearby, 1-2 minutes of walking.
* Some people wrote that the area is sketchy but as a solo female traveler I felt safe both during the day and night on the streets. If you’re worried please check Google street maps.
* There is a nice big park very close to hotel which is excellent as I love taking nature and wildlife photos
* I dont know if the walls are thick or I had no one around me on my floor but it was really quiet and I never heard other people. So very comfortable sleep!
* (Edited as I forgot it originally) The room was very spacious and good size! I could dance here with someone if I wanted to. That felt nice
Cons:
* No shower curtains means the toilet and floor will be wet. This does seem to be popular in Taiwan though.
* Once you enter the room you will smell old cigarette smoke. I’m pretty sure its from many years ago. For me I stop recognizing the smell in about 2 minutes, so it wasn’t bothering me as much. In the past I stayed in smoking Japanese hotels where I’d start coughing and wanting to throw up immediately after entering the room. Not the case here, mild smell.
* The overall physical condition of the hotel. Its pretty old and rundown. I would not take a bath in that bathtub. Also no washlet/bidet/bum gun made me sad.
* No microwave in the hotel
* I was incredibly frustrated with how hard it was to get the water temperature right in the shower. Twist it one millimeter to the left and its boiling hot, one mm to the right and its too cold.

A friend recommended this hotel in Taiwan. The lobby's decor and wall decorations created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The location and ambiance are convenient, and the price is quite reasonable.
Cleanliness and soundproofing could be improved.
Aside from the less-than-ideal soundproofing, the service was excellent.
The front desk staff were very friendly, making the hotel a comfortable and relaxing place.

Outstanding
GGuest UserLoved the water filter/boiling machine, super convenient for a cup of tea/coffee with safe water!
Great that there's a dehumidifier!! No need to worry about the humidity.
The AC has warm mode too.
The café uphills offers chill place to sit.
GGuest UserOverall, the experience was very comfortable and clean. During check-in, we were kindly upgraded to an executive room for free, and the room was fantastic! It even had a bathtub, which was perfect for soaking and relaxing after a long day of walking. The lobby offered complimentary snacks and drinks, providing a great space to relax and chat. They also provided a late-night supper of congee and small dishes. The breakfast spread was incredibly generous and varied. We were all extremely satisfied and would definitely love to come back again!
NNguyen Do Nha UyenAfter coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time.
Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊
Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away.
⸻
⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen
Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe.
Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃.
🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden
This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy)
Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here.
If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️
AAnonymous Usernot too satisfied with the hotel charge at this price. no washing machine, if you want to wash, it is charged by piece... and saw 2 insects in the room 😨 television not supporting bluetooth connection ( saw them installing new television when checking out so im not sure if now got new function ). oh check out time is at 12, if you want to extend, to 1230 is free but to 1pm it will be NT1000. the location is not bad, 5mins walk to train station, downstairs got small familymart.
LLauren Y.Location of our villa is just at the beach. Openn the door and we are at the beach! Only has private hot spring tub in the villa. Comes with games room, arcade, public hot spring pool, table tennis etc. Only dissatisfaction is the smoke smell left in the room from previous occupants.
Wish they priorise Toiletries or at least hand soap.
GGuest UserWe had 3nites stay.
Great hotel, spacious, clean. Friendly staffs
Bath tub is a great way to end your day after a long day out.
Location:10 mins walk to Banqiao station for train/HSR
Amenities:Hotel does not provide free basic amenities, NT100 per pack. Remember bring your own.
Gym is chargeable, a pity
There is an Osen, free for the guests
7-11 and Family near hotel
There is a shop just opp the hotel that serve lamb hotpot during winter, very delicious.
Highly recommended except the location if u are dragging your luggages.
LLast TouristWhat's Hot: location is near bus routes to the airport (1962) & near the Banqiao bus/train/MRT terminals. Rooms are modern & new, well equipped and if you're on a higher floor, have great views of the city. The toilets are equipped with the latest Toto Japanese bidet type potties. There are filtered water dispensers on all floors next to the lifts. There are free snacks, drinks & beverages in the room provided. The TV has a large screen. Surroundings are filled with food, coffee & groceries (Family mart).
What's Not: The reception area is small & congested, service is stressed out, efficient, but curt. Beds only have one pillow provided by default. Room air conditioning settings can't be controlled easily. Breakfast is actually served off site at their sister hotel next door (Caesar Park hotel) at the Lotus restaurant (good food though).
GGuest UserLocation is outstanding, very close to 7-11, however as many many other people have notes it's hard to find. The address given (number 28) is wrong. As you go up the street, the last houses are numbered 19-24 and then there's nothing but 300m of shrines. I know, I walked past them 3 times making sure I hadn't missed 28. The actual hotel is number 5-2. If you use that, Google maps finds it, what a surprise. Actually there is a 28 halfway down at the bottom, but it's a house not a hotel. Anyway, the receptionist blamed Google maps for getting me to the wrong place and when I pointed out the address on the booking information was wrong, she just shrugged and said that's a problem for management.
Next, you have to change into slippers at the entrance. They were too small so only my toes fit in, and carrying my suitcase up 2 flights of stairs in ill-fitting slippers is a safety hazard. Even worse when leaving. The guy watched me struggle the whole time too.
The room itself was weird. It's a strange Japanese style with a raised floor and then no bedframe, just a mattress. There was quite a bit of wasted space in the room and the bathroom was a wet room instead of separate shower and toilet, just like you get in the tiny cramped hotel rooms. So for an hour or two after having a shower, going to the toilet means you get wet feet or wear the slippers and get the room floor wet. When there's space wasted in the room, that could have been used to make a shower too, this is stupid.
The place was clean, although there were renovations being done in the common room where you change into slippers most of the days.
No water etc provided, but there were a few snacks left in the kitchen, and there was a hot water dispenser in the kitchen too. This was really useful as there's nowhere close to eat after 7pm, so you have to buy instant noodles from 7-11.
Room was quiet and curtains were good, so easy to sleep well. No light switch within reach of the bed though, so you have to get to the bed in complete darkness.
SsorloMy family and I stayed at the Yun Estate Hotel this past December, and we had a truly lovely time. Nestled in a quiet area, the hotel offers the perfect sense of serenity and escape from the usual hustle and bustle.
The absolute highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the accommodation. The room was incredibly spacious, but the game-changer was the private in-room hot spring. It provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all of us, and the kids absolutely loved splashing around in the warm water.
We opted to have breakfast delivered to our room, which was a convenient and nice touch in theory. The presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful but it looked way better than it tasted, unfortunately. While the meal wasn't bad, the flavor didn't quite match the high standard of the presentation.
For the little ones, the hotel is a dream. There is a playroom where they can watch movies, as well as a mini race track where they can drive electric cars. To top it off, the unlimited supply of drinks and snacks was a huge hit with them, making the stay feel extra special.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are already looking forward to returning in the near future. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing retreat.
台台中阿源The reception staff was very friendly. I didn't have dinner there. The equipment was a bit old. Breakfast was available the next day, but it was simple. There was nothing special to order. I had thick slices, boiled eggs, and tomatoes that day. The air was pretty good.
