Homeinn Plus Hotel (Lijiang Gucheng Waterwheel)

The rooms at Home Inn were impeccably clean. The sheets and duvet covers looked brand new, and there were no unpleasant odors. The bathroom was also pristine, with hot water that was quick to arrive and maintained a consistent temperature.

This was hands down the most thoughtful hotel I've ever stayed in! From the moment I stepped out of the car, staff helped with my luggage. Check-in was fast, and they even assisted with my laundry, washing and drying my clothes. The room was spotless, the bedding super soft, and it was incredibly quiet at night. Breakfast offered a huge variety, and the freshly made rice noodles were absolutely delicious. They even gave me a small souvenir at check-out. The attention to detail really stood out. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

I've been quite busy lately and almost forgot to post this review. The hotel was great; the location is excellent, the room was clean, and I slept really well. My girlfriend particularly loved their coffee. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We also visited Heilongtan Park, which was absolutely stunning. There's a restaurant called Junzailai right next door that served some delicious food. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

I booked this for my parents, and they called me specifically, insisting that I leave a review because they loved the hotel so much. Here's what my parent told me: Our stay here was wonderful. Upon arriving in Lijiang, I experienced a bit of altitude sickness. The front desk immediately provided an oxygen tank and advised me not to shower at night. After some rest, I felt much better. They even called periodically to check on my well-being, which was incredibly thoughtful and heartwarming. The hotel's location is also superb and very tourist-friendly. We could walk to Black Dragon Pool Park in just a few minutes in the morning, and the Old Town was also very close for evening visits. We even managed to visit Baisha Ancient Town. The hotel breakfast was excellent too, plentiful and delicious. The mini wontons and rice noodles were especially tasty. Overall, we were so reluctant to leave. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bedding was so cozy I fell asleep instantly. Simply wonderful. The hotel also has a laundry room, and I even saw the front desk staff helping other guests with their laundry. It's clear they didn't just go out of their way for us; these young ladies and gentlemen at the front desk treat all their guests like family. Truly exceptional service! A big thumbs-up to them! 👍

We stayed at this hotel for three days, and the excellent service truly made our impression of Lijiang incredibly positive. A special shout-out goes to the gentleman at the front desk, always impeccably dressed in a suit. He's a true local expert; if you're staying here, don't hesitate to ask him anything you need to know. He's incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting us as we came and went, making us feel utterly at home and comfortable, just like returning to our own place each day. The ladies at the front desk were also incredibly dependable and helped us sort out numerous issues. My friends and their family were so impressed by our experience that they booked a stay for the following day, and we'll definitely be staying here again on our next visit! The room was spotless. It's super close to the main waterwheel of the Old Town, easily accessible via a small path right next to the hotel. The windows are huge, offering a wide, unobstructed view of the ancient town. Just sitting by the window, taking in the scenery, gazing at the sky, and simply unwinding was incredibly relaxing. The photos I've included were taken right from my window. The hotel lobby offers complimentary lemonade and coffee, both of which tasted quite good. The staff were also incredibly friendly; I accidentally left some items behind, and they went out of their way to kindly help me mail them back. Many thanks!
