You need to make an appointment if you have a private soup, and you can see the outdoor scenery. Public soups for men and women are separated and served 24 hours a day. This is the best stay I’ve ever stayed It’s a family run pension with two super friendly golden retrievers, the whole house is newly built, extremely clean, and decorated with good taste The dinner and breakfast are western- Japanese fusion, everything is homemade, definitely worth trying There is a nice and clean private onsen, or you can take a bus to have a day trip to other bigger onsen Minakami itself is a countryside area, and the pension is right next to the bus station There is literally nothing around the stay, so you need to get everything you need in Minakami station, but I think it’s a characteristic rather than disadvantage

What impressed me most was the excellent breakfast and dinner! I highly recommend staying at this onsen hotel when visiting Gunma. The main dish for dinner was sukiyaki, which was delicious, and each dish was prepared with great care. The food here is really tasty! This time, I stayed in a room with a private open-air onsen bath. The onsen quality here is very high; the spring water isn't heated, allowing you to soak while enjoying the view of Mount Tanigawa. The service was impeccable in every detail, including specially provided pajamas and decaffeinated roasted tea served at night. The next morning, you can also enjoy complimentary coffee while admiring Mount Tanigawa again.

Feel like home is an ancient ryokan hotel. But the inside looks clean and modern, the owner takes good care of it like a relative. There is a large public bath separate men and women. The room itself is spacious, not uncomfortable. If coming again, I will book here again. Recommended

We stayed for one night in late November. It was a shame that the autumn leaves were at their final stage. The tofu kaiseki cuisine was delicious, tasty, and colorful. Many of the surrounding hotels and inns have closed, so the scenery feels lonely. I recommend this place for those who want to enjoy both the baths and the food.
