Aloft New York Chelsea

A fairly new edition to Aloft in NYC. A befitting of the Aloft brand it's basic, the reception is small. The staff efficient and friendly. No "proper" bar, you get a couple of free drinks for a couple of hours. The room is small but good bed, air-con works well. Good elevators(lifts) only 3 but work well. Good area with a subway nearby.

I woke up one morning, decided to take the train from Philly to New York, and booked the Aloft on my way there. I had a really great stay. The location is perfect - a few minutes to the 1, Penn Station, and my favorite spots in Chelsea. My room wasn't ready until 4:20pm but this wasn't an issue. The front desk staff was great. The lobby had flavored water and table-top games but I wish the market had more grab and go options, I was looking for something I could heat up so I didn't have to leave the hotel in the middle of the night but options were a little limited. Not an issue though, it's New York, so I didn't have to travel far to find food. The room on the 31st floor was wonderful, I had a view of downtown and a little bit of Brooklyn and Jersey City, and also the Statue of Liberty in the distance. Well-designed, bright and inviting room and public spaces. Would absolutely stay here again.

We transferred from the Hilton Fashion District as it was a dump. We are so glad we did! This hotel was new and clean. We had 24th floor with great city view. Beds comfy. Shower very nice. Great location and close to subway. During day streets are lined with flowers for sale. Very pretty. At night a bit sketchy. Close to a nice rooftop bar. Walking distance to MSG. Free drinks from5-7. We only used once but nice touch. Would stay here again.

When I first arrived, I got immediately bittersweet due to the amount of the deposit I had to give, especially since it’s a select hotel from the Marriott brand so not the fanciest. But the kind lady at the reception the black girl with blonde hair was very thoughtful and helpful, she gave us a better experience in the hotel !

Yes, yes, yes! Amazing location, very friendly crew, clean, bed super comfortable, walking distance to cool places... in my experience, this Aloft offers way more than the European Alofts! Thanks to Hawa and A-Shy for 24th floor room ♡ Definitely booking again on our next NY trip.

Great hotel in great location. Brand new, clean, quiet. Housekeeping was wonderful. Staff friendly. Will definitely be using this as my NYC business hotel going forward. I usually stay at the Moxy down the street and this hotel is as comfortable and clean.

I’ve stayed here many times and always had a great experience. Everybody at the front desk is very professional, kind, and always takes care of me. As a platinum elite member, they always tend to upgrade my room for me. Never once have I had any issues with the rooms or customer service. I will definitely stay here again whenever I’m in town!

Friendly check in, room ready ahead of time, convenient digital key that works, beautiful room (but small as expected for a room in the City). Everything works including fast elevators, location is convenient with subway access to everything. Lots of restaurants just outside the door. Nice gym for a small hotel (see pics). Great hotel for a short business trip, would gladly stay here again.

Don't go thia hotel, simply avoid it. They are not up to marriott standard. Security of hotel is weak, anyone can go up without key, any floor without any difficulty. They don't offer water, they ask you to pay after having only 2 bottles. Water quality is bad, probably they are using very cheap water filter, I've never experienced it in other hotels in NY, water color is white.. They didn't empty my trash bin. So cleaning service is horrible. Heater was broken, we asked to fix it but temperature didn't go up at all. Somebody knocked our door at 4am, they are saying this person is hotel staff but i doubt it. Just avoid this hotel.
