If you’re staying in Hohhot and want a genuine, memorable experience, this is the place!!! I can’t recommend this homestay enough. From the moment we stepped into the compound, the warmth of the family was immediately felt. You’ll be welcomed by a lovely lady, her husband, and his brother, who treat you less like a guest and more like family. Within minutes of arriving, they greeted us with snacks, a gift, and let us know they were already preparing a local dinner. We sat down with them that evening, sharing a spread of local dishes and drinks, it was a genuinely special night. I don’t speak a word of Chinese, and yet through Translate we had a wonderful time together. Before heading to bed, they asked what time we needed to leave in the morning so breakfast would be ready for us which was very nice! Morning came with their dogs greeting us and a delicious homemade local breakfast waiting at the table. As for the yurt itself, it’s beautiful and incredibly cozy inside, exactly what you’d hope for. There’s heating in there in case you get cold as well. We stayed two nights, and on our second evening we had to turn in early for an early flight. The other guest, though, stayed up late singing and dancing with the family, which honestly made me wish we could have stayed longer. I’d give this place a 20/10 if I could. I booked it thinking it was just somewhere interesting to sleep for the night. What I didn’t know was that it would end up being a highlight of my trip to China.

Let me give an objective review of my stay at the Meiyuan Light Luxury Hotel. The service was excellent. From the front desk staff to the breakfast auntie and the cleaners, every single employee was smiling and greeted me warmly, making me feel very welcome. This kind of service attitude is definitely what a hotel should offer. Most importantly, the hotel excels in hygiene and cleanliness, meeting even the highest standards. The room was clean and tidy overall, the bedding was dry and odorless, and the bathroom was equally clean, fresh, and free of any smells. I especially liked the TOTO toilet in the bathroom; it flushed automatically with strong power and a fast stream without splashing, which is a great feature. Additionally, the hotel offers free parking, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and is highly recommended.

Sheyi Tea Culture hotel was an amazing stay, definitely a must stay if visiting Hohhot! Food & Drink 🫖 This hotel is also a tea house and it is a tea drinker’s dream! First the room a booked came with my own tea brewing equipment and a tea brewing table with an excellent view and comfortable seats! But that is just the beginning, as you head down to the main floor a fully stocked, beautiful tea house & cafe awaits you. Daily tea and even delicious milk tea is always available. Private table sets and outdoor seating is available too. The tea masters are skilled and attentive, which made all my tea drinking experiences fun and enjoyable! You can also purchase various tea and tea ware right in the tea house. Location 📍 This hotel is perfectly located close to the near by Ancient Street, with many close by temples and shrines to visit. A craft street is close by and available all day, while a famous local food street opens up for colourful night time snacking in the evening. Many close by restaurants offering authentic local cuisine, I recommend reading the hotel’s recommendations as they were always great. If you need even more tea experience, there is a nearby tea wholesale market and many high end tea house in the area as well. The Room 🛌 The room I stayed in had lots of space, was very clean and had everything you could need to feel comfortable. Daily bathroom necessities are provided. High quality bedding, robes and slippers are waiting for you. High end bathroom equipment is installed, with hot water always available. Premium television is set up and Wifi connection always had high speeds. A beautiful kettle and tea set can be used to make tea with daily water and a welcome tea package provided. Staff 👩⚕️ The staff were very king and helpful right from check in. Actually even before check in they were helping bring my luggage inside! They were patient with communication as I was a foreign visitor. They answered any and all questions I had. They recommended great tea and amazing restaurants! The staff were always available and always smiling! Such great people really made my stay a dream. This was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in and I definitely would recommend it to anyone visiting Hohhot! I will be back again for sure.

I highly recommend this hotel! The location is truly unbeatable, making it super convenient for getting taxis and visiting attractions. The room hygiene is top-notch; even the corners are dust-free, and the bedding is very comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including meats, vegetables, pastries, and drinks, so there's plenty to choose from. The biggest bonus, though, is the entire staff – they are warm and attentive, proactively helping to resolve any issues. My overall experience was fantastic. The price is reasonable, offering incredible value for money. It's definitely my top choice for accommodation when traveling!

Taking advantage of the May Day holiday, I spontaneously embarked on a trip without much planning, intending to decide things as I went along. My classmate's mother recommended this hotel. To find a 5-star guesthouse-level hotel at this price during May Day was truly exceptional value for money. The hotel environment is excellent; although some areas were undergoing renovation, it didn't detract from the overall guest experience. The front office manager was incredibly welcoming, asking about our travel plans and offering genuine advice, such as visiting Dazhao Temple in the evening and reminding us about the significant temperature difference between day and night, suggesting we dress warmly. On my second day, I had originally planned to go to Chilechuan and then the desert, but she advised me to visit the desert first and then Chilechuan if time permitted. I readily took her advice, and the trip turned out to be perfect. The hotel's breakfast was fantastic and highly recommended. I look forward to staying here again during the summer holidays!

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. It's just a 5-minute walk to the subway station, which is super friendly for travelers. I was immediately impressed by the room upon entering. The decor is simple and cozy, with excellent natural light. Especially that extra-large bed – the mattress was just the right firmness, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly. I got a great night's sleep every single night 🌙 The bathroom's wet and dry separation was a thoughtful touch, and they even provided nice-smelling, scented toiletries. A detail-oriented person like me was thrilled! What surprised me most was the value for money. To get such star-level service at this price point is truly a great deal. The front desk lady was all smiles throughout, making check-in fast and efficient, and she even thoughtfully recommended nearby attractions. The cleaning staff who tidied the room daily were also very meticulous; they even polished the tabletop until it shined ✨ Whether for business or leisure, this is an excellent choice! I've already recommended it to all my friends, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit! 🌟

I spent several nights at this hotel and can only highly recommend it. The location is fantastic, it was just steps away from the metro and numerous bus stops, making it incredibly easy to get around. It's also very close to the Dazhao Temple and the Five Pagodas, which was a real bonus for exploring the local heritage without wasting time in transit. I chose to book an apartment style hotel room, and it was such a great decision. After weeks of hopping between one-night hotel stays, I really needed a place to settle down, and this spacious, quiet apartment was exactly what I needed. It was clean, roomy, and very comfortable. The service was flawless. The staff were highly responsive over the phone, available day and night. A huge thank you to the team for taking the time to help me ship my packages, that kind of attention really meant a lot to me. Little touches made all the difference: fresh bottles of water were provided every day, and the trash was taken out daily as well. Honestly, everything was just perfect. Just a helpful tip : don't make my mistake! When you arrive, make sure to go to Building A. As you enter the main hall, it's on the left. there's a big sign clearly indicating it. Same goes for when you order on *******: be sure to specify Building A in your delivery address. Otherwise, your order will end up in the building next door (not far, but you'll have to switch elevators). In short, if I ever come back to the area, I will definitely stay here again. The hotel is about 4 kilometers away from the highway. The hotel is very convenient for parking and dining. There is a gas station more than 100 meters away from the hotel, so it is a good choice to take a break as a self-driving tour. In addition, hotel services and facilities are also good.
