Quanzhou Lushi Homestay (West Street Kaiyuan Temple Branch)

Our family trip to the historic ancient city of Quanzhou included my soon-to-be college freshman child, my nearly eighty-year-old mother, and my dear sister and brother-in-law. We intentionally chose to travel after the peak summer season, and after comparing numerous accommodations, we settled on Lu Shi Homestay. The host proactively reached out on WeChat, setting up a group chat. They thoughtfully inquired about our pillow preferences and even kindly advised us to use Didi for navigation, which turned out to be incredibly accurate and useful! We arrived around 7 PM. The staff were all young men, not formal concierges, but rather friendly 'boys next door' with outstanding attitudes, making us feel incredibly welcome! The homestay's location is simply superb. Its side entrance is directly on Xiangfeng Lane, and my favorite Mustard Seed Bookstore is just a two-minute walk away. It truly offers a peaceful retreat amidst the city's vibrancy. Every detail at the homestay was incredibly thoughtful! They even provided hand-drawn guide maps, which was a delightful touch that added so much to our joy. In the evenings, there were even open-air movies shown on the rooftop, creating a fantastic ambiance! The housekeeping staff were also incredibly kind, always greeting us with warm smiles – it truly warmed our hearts! Quanzhou is truly a wonderful city, and Lu Shi, we'll definitely be back!

It took us a while to decide, but we eventually chose this guesthouse, and it was absolutely stunning! The design is very chic, and the rooms are fantastic. It's located right in the heart of West Street, yet surprisingly quiet. The service from the front desk staff was superb, and they were incredibly patient. The guesthouse is surrounded by delicious food options, which was super convenient! Our children absolutely loved it, making it perfect for a family trip!

The hotel boasts a wonderful, new environment with a modern minimalist design. Its location is superb, ideally situated near Kaiyuan Temple and West Street, with an abundance of fantastic eateries nearby. Despite the lively surroundings, the hotel itself offers a tranquil retreat; once you step through its doors, you'll find absolute peace and quiet. The hotel's attention to detail is impressive. For instance, on hot days, the lobby thoughtfully provides complimentary purified water and handcarts for guests to help themselves. We especially loved the hotel's custom-made incense, which had an incredibly soothing aroma. They even provide guests with a fantastic 'eat & explore' guide, packed with useful tips and recommendations. We followed their suggestions for dining, and every single meal was delicious! Our suite featured incredibly comfortable bedding. The bathroom design was a major highlight, offering a very generous space, making bath time incredibly relaxing, and even included a dedicated makeup area – we were thoroughly pleased. The service was also incredibly responsive to all our requests, with quick responses and detailed transportation guidance. And I must mention the hotel's unbeatable rooftop view, offering clear sight of Kaiyuan Temple's East and West Pagodas – a truly spectacular panorama. In the evenings, you can enjoy movies, cocktails, and moon-gazing on the rooftop, which makes for a truly comfortable and special experience!
