"I finally have time to comment. I found out that an old Chinese medicine doctor traveled to Haikou and came specifically to seek medical advice. My husband and children accompanied me there, thinking it was my first time in Haikou and I wanted to take the baby for a walk. My kid wanted to take a hot spring bath, so a local friend in Haikou recommended Mission Hills Resort. At first, I booked the Mission Hills Hotel for 998 with breakfast. When I opened ** and saw the live broadcast of the small garden enclosure, it showed that it was also in the Mission Hills Resort. I checked with the host and found out that it was next to the Mission Hills Hotel, in the same place. Home, shared breakfast and hot spring, 599 includes breakfast and hot spring. Since it was Christmas day, it showed that there was no room. I think it is very cost-effective, and we have never stayed in the enclosed house, so we booked it on Ctrip. It was 100 more expensive. 12 o'clock When we arrived at the hotel, the handsome man checked us in the day before yesterday. He specially arranged a room with a good location for us and led us to the room. He also introduced that this building was originally a spa place for Mission Hills guests and was later converted into guest rooms. The next day I wanted to take my kids out for some fun, but it was inconvenient to bring my luggage, so I asked the handsome guy at the front desk if I could delay check-out. The reply was that he could delay check-out until 2 p.m. It was already past 1 p.m. when we got back to the hotel, and we didn’t have enough time for a lunch break. Our flight was after 6pm, so I communicated with the beautiful woman at the front desk how much it would cost to delay the flight by 2 hours. After communicating with the manager, the beautiful woman replied that I could postpone our flight until 4pm for free, which was really heart-warming. The overall feeling of the hotel is very quiet, which I like very much. This trip to Haikou was very pleasant. It cured my dizziness problem that I had suffered for many years. The children also had a great time playing in the hotel."

"This hotel is beautifully situated right by the sea, offering a truly serene and picturesque setting. What's more, the value for money during our summer vacation stay was exceptional. The rooms are great, and there are two swimming pools along with dedicated water play facilities for children. There's a wide range of activities available, so you could easily spend a whole day here without needing to leave the hotel. The ocean is just across the road, and it's super convenient to grab coconuts and other local refreshing treats right by the beach. The only minor drawback is that items at the hotel's mini-mart are quite pricey, even more expensive than what you'd find in a mountaintop shop. I hope the hotel considers improving this; while a slight markup is understandable, it shouldn't unnecessarily detract from their overall image. Overall, it's definitely worth staying and highly recommended."

"Amazing Stay at Sofitel Haikou – Exceptional Service & Perfect Location! Our stay at Sofitel Haikou was truly fantastic, and a big shoutout to Howard—he was an absolute lifesaver! From day one, he took great care of our family, helping us find the best restaurants and even calling to make reservations for us. This was our first time in China, and since we don’t speak Chinese, getting a taxi or ordering food was quite challenging. Howard made everything so much easier for us! The room was incredible—spotlessly clean, with super comfortable bedding and even a TV built into the bathroom mirror! We stayed on the 28th floor, and the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast was fantastic! If you’re new to Chinese cuisine, this is the perfect place to start. The variety was amazing—delicious dim sum, noodle soup, Chinese-style fried eggs (a must-try!), flavorful Chinese soups, and so much more. The location is excellent. Situated in the CBD, you can easily walk to several shopping malls and cafés. Just step out of the hotel lobby, and within 200 meters, you’ll find great spots like the Chinese tea café CHANGEE. Overall, we had an amazing experience, thanks to the warm hospitality, luxurious rooms, and prime location. Highly recommend Sofitel Haikou for anyone visiting the city!"

Special welcome letters are accompanied by various warm reminders. The electronic hanging screen in the lobby rolls the Zhang Yixing promotional poster. During the stay, the hotel lobby audio loops the music of Zhang Yixing album. I presented a gift package and welcome fruit for the fans. The bed in the room was carefully arranged for the fans. "Let's start with the good points ❤️. The hotel's public areas are quite spacious, the staff are friendly and helpful, the air conditioning is effective, and there's live music in the evenings. There are four swimming pools; the lifeguard at the large deep pool is very responsible, and swim caps are mandatory. They even help older guests with doors and proactively informed us that the nearby spa has restrooms and showers. Only the white slide at the bubble pool was open, but it was still fun enough. The hot spring pool was nice and warm, not crowded, and very relaxing. The daily children's activities were quite good; we participated in the Tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) and fruit tea DIY, which were ready to eat and tasted delicious. Breakfast was standard; nothing surprisingly special, but it had all the essentials. We chose a suite, and having two bathrooms was very convenient. Now, for the complaints 😤. This was my second trip to Haikou, specifically to let my child play in the sand. However, the beach at the Sheraton felt completely detached from the hotel. There was absolutely nothing there – just endless sand, not even a single chair. I truly don't understand the point of having a beachfront like that... Upon check-in, every guest is assigned a butler and asked to add them on WeChat by scanning a QR code. On the day of my arrival, I asked if children's activities could be booked on the same day and was told yes. However, both the brochure in the lobby and the WeChat group (after scanning to join) stated that activities required booking at least two hours in advance. This group had nearly 200 strangers, and to sign up, they required room number, name, phone number, etc. I found the hotel's privacy protection awareness to be extremely poor. So, the next morning, I sent my personal registration information to the butler, asking her to help register me internally. Two hours later, the butler directly posted my personal information into the group chat! Meanwhile, when I went directly to the activity registration room, I was told that all DIY activities for that day had already been fully booked the night before. It was only resolved after I complained to the front desk. For such a well-established five-star hotel, their procedures and privacy awareness are simply appalling. And the activity I finally managed to register for after complaining was chaotic, with no proper instructions. Next, regarding room cleaning. On the first day, our room wasn't cleaned until around 2 PM. I asked a staff member, who said there's a 'Please Make Up Room' button on the door, and pressing it would prompt immediate service. However, the next day, I pressed it before leaving at 8:30 AM, and by 1 PM, no one had come. It took another hour after calling guest services for housekeeping to finally arrive... So, is that button just for show? The room itself showed signs of age and neglect: the faucet leaked even when fully shut, the tiles on the bathroom floor behind the door were broken, and there were countless scuffs and damages. The mattress wasn't particularly soft, but it wasn't uncomfortable to sleep on either. On my way to the airport on the last day, the butler messaged me, asking if I had any issues during my stay. I mentioned the late room cleaning, and she apologized, offering a fruit platter and late checkout for a future stay. She even asked if I could refrain from posting a review... Quite the gesture of 'sincerity' – shouldn't such an inquiry be made a day in advance? Oh, and the children's small pool was extremely dirty. Perhaps it was because kids went directly from the beach into the pool to play... It's hard to believe that a five-star hotel's service could be so problematic!"

"The room was visibly worn but you can see they still take great care in trying to maintain the cleanliness and functionality. Toiletries provided are of good quality and the tubs were clean too. Service from the front desk and housekeeping staff were top notch - they even called after we checked into the room, to see if we were satisfied with the room given! The front desk staff were extremely helpful and even offered to help us find where we could get local SIM cards and attractions to visit. I am super wowed by them. Breakfast spread was decent and had a nice variety of both western and oriental options. The restaurant provides children cutlery and baby chair upon request. Just remember to take note of the gate/entrance you are at when calling for a ride because there's a few different doors."

"Some lights are not turning off there is no switch for those lights. When went to sleep I had to shut down my electricity because some lights never go off. Service was fine. No one of them can speak English. Hotel was old."
