The Cartwright Hotel, Union Square, BW Premier Collection Reviews

Short walking distance from Powell Station - but needs a little uphill walk. The room is compact and nice. But there's a weird (but bearable) smell in the corridor. It's a great room at a great price at a great location!

The only good for the hotel is the location. Other than this, there is nothing fantastics. The hotel is old, no basic stuff at the room. The mattress is bad and the room service is lousy. There is a bad smell at the corridor and it looks like ******* house. If have the choice, dont choose this hotel.

Hotel front employee Kate’s attitude was awful. She looked angry for us with no reason. I couldnt get proper answer or service without asking and complaining several times.

The location of the hotel is very good. The rooms are a little small but very clean. Service is very friendly and helpful. Check in was very quick and professional. The parking is in a public parking building (100m distance) and can be organised over the hotel

Recommended but not for long stay as the room really small and no refrigerator

The room was actually very small and if not careful, you’ll bump into the furnitures. For the price I guess it makes sense, so nothing much to complain about. Housekeeping was extremely regular (daily, in fact) the hotel lobby was clean and the bathroom looked brand new. Highly recommended if you’re on a budget, although if you do search hard enough you might find better deals than this hotel.

The room is small and wear out. The water of shower is slow. I won’t recommend this hotel.

Good place and location

Perfect location. Hotel was not big but very clean and quiet. Perfect for a night stay at downtown area. Nice lobby setup with Woodfire, coffee and tea are available.

Great environment, excellent location, and great value for money! Plus, the front desk staff were very nice. I stayed for two days, and San Francisco is definitely worth visiting. There are a lot of hills, so remember to wear sneakers!

The hotel is located close to Union Square and nearby large marts. There is a water purifier in the lobby on the first floor, so you can keep refilling your water, which is nice. I also asked for luggage service on a day other than the same day, and they gladly accepted, so I was able to travel comfortably.😊
