We booked 5-15th May, a room with a whirlpool on the balcony. It was a delayed 13th anniversary break. There was a warm welcome on our arrival and when shown to our room, it was Amazing!! Large bathroom with walk in shower, mini fridge, coffee machine (which we didn’t touch), no kettle (which there should have been). Step outside the room door a small table with 2 chairs, turn right and through a white gate our private patio area with a whirlpool and 2 sunbeds. Every morning the towels and sheets were changed and chocolates placed on the pillows. Also, towel creations done on the bed. Every morning we had a breakfast buffet. Not a lot of choice but enough. Denise one of the servers was so helpful and friendly, we found out she loves Harry Potter. We were sad to not see her on our last day. I ended up ill with what turned out to be a kidney infection. The hotel were helpful and called out the dr. Unfortunately, we did not have the global card so were charged €150 call-out. It wiped out my last 2 days. Weather wise we had 6 days of sun, then 2 days of torrential rain. It was 21 degrees but felt a lot hotter in the sun. Evening food: we managed to find some great value places to eat. The hotel was way too expensive. We have decided to return one day but only in September when the weather is more settled. Plus at the end of April start of May every year there is a virus that sweeps the island (info from a resident of Santorini) When we arrived I could smell something odd in the water, my hair stank of it. Then by the 3rd day it had cleared
