"Overall, the hotel's location is very convenient. For guests with large luggage, it's great as it's easy to get to from SPAL or the nearby Grand Hyatt Hotel. Inside the room, there's still space to move around even after laying out two large suitcases. The refrigerator has separate sections for regular chilled food and a freezer, which is fantastic – you can store ice cream you buy back to the hotel and eat it later. The only minor issue is that the blinds by the window let in some light, which can feel a bit lacking in privacy from the street, but it's fine if you don't sit right by the window."

"This was my third stay at The Westin Sendai, and I continue to love both the hardware and the service. The rooms are beautifully designed, and the two restaurants are truly excellent — always one of the highlights of my trip. However, during this visit, the lady at the lobby reception was not as helpful as expected. While she remained polite, her attitude felt a bit less sincere compared to my past experiences. That was the only small disappointment in an otherwise wonderful stay."

Although it was a weekday stay, there were many business travelers, and the men's bath was crowded until late at night, so my husband went in the middle of the night. It's a little far from Sendai Station, but within walking distance. Finding food at night is also easy. There are welcome drinks and amenities in the evening. I booked because I was attracted by the breakfast, and it was delicious."

Very satisfied!"

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sendai
"Sendai feels different from Osaka and Tokyo; it's less bustling, and I hear it's the most populous city in the Tohoku region. The room was small but clean and tidy, and the double bed was comfortable enough. The staff suggested storing luggage under the bed, which was practical. The bathroom facilities were great, and all the water in the hotel is purified and safe to drink directly. The breakfast was exquisite and delicious, with staff constantly refilling dishes to ensure there was always enough for guests. They offer free luggage storage, and you can open the locker with a Suica card (even a mobile one). The staff were all very warm, polite, and helpful in resolving any issues. I highly recommend this hotel. Be sure to visit Tohoku University, where Lu Xun studied, and the small park that used to be his residence. You can find them by searching 'Lu Xun' on iPhone Maps. At the main station, buy a loop bus ticket for a 70-minute circuit that takes you to places like Aoba Castle and the mausoleum of Date Masamune. The Giant Kannon statue isn't covered by the loop bus; you can take a taxi there and a public bus back. For dining, I suggest trying Zenjiro and Ajitasuke."

"This hot spring hotel is about a 45-minute drive from Sendai. You can arrange the shuttle bus schedule from Sendai Station when booking your room. The hotel offers a standard of quality meals and accommodations, including two meals a day. A unique feature is the koi pond in the lobby, where children can buy fish food at the shop for 100 yen to feed the fish – a truly special experience. Note that if you are staying two consecutive nights, finding lunch for the second day can be difficult, as there are no convenience stores nearby. It's recommended to ask the hotel front desk for a map and information beforehand, otherwise finding a restaurant for lunch on the spot will be very challenging."
