We brought our parents to Shangri-La. We were worried about altitude sickness, but since we saw the rooms had diffused oxygen, we chose this hotel. It's a new hotel with new facilities, excellent oxygen supply, and they catered to our needs very well. The breakfast was also very rich, and my parents were very satisfied. I highly recommend it! The bed was very comfortable and soft. There's parking downstairs. When you park and unload your luggage, the staff will come over to help. It's very close to the ancient city and Napahai. It does get crowded during peak season. I went there in late July, and it was still quite cold. Wear long sleeves and long pants.

Right across the bus station, so you can sleep in and catch the 8am bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Large TV in the room with about 2000 free western movies, some less than 6 months old in cinemas. Extremely soft bed (American style). Other than that... This place is average for Chinese standard. The bed itself is clean, but there's mold on the walls and some are even peeping. The bathroom is divided between wet and dry areas but some stuff is falling apart. At least the hot water is scalding and plentiful, which is rare in these latitudes. Service staff is inexperienced, but then again, normal here. Far from the old town, but then again, not the fault of the hotel and I much prefer to take taxis the day before an early start than scramble to find something at 7am. Would stay again.

The city's attractions are accessible by bus for 2 yuan, and the long-distance bus station is across from the Yunjiao scenic spot. Although breakfast is not available, the restaurants next door can satisfy your needs, making it very convenient.

This hotel is full of options. Big room, clean, laundry machine, electric stove, refrigerator, all amenities. The most important thing that is only 5 minutes walk to ShangriLa bus station. If you plan to leave a luggage at the hotel, you need to contact the staff in advance because the hotel staff is not at the front desk in early morning. Overall I love this place and if you plan to go to Dukezong ancient town, only 3 km away and only 10 yuan by Didi driver. Very convenient.
