The bar and hostel are run by two different people. Great owners, friendly to foreigners. I got the less expensive small room, but I’m a bit allergic to some of the smoking option. However, weather was okay to leave the window open. Basic private hostel size, super awesome environment and service. Beaches were closed at the time due to some nearby cases, but there are lots of things to see locally. Great views and vibes. Third time to the property, first time in the hostel. Will check out the larger room next time since it’s a StayCation spot within Shenzhen. Bus is on 12 yuan from across the city.

The room was very nicely decorated. Hotel had a lovely rustic feel and live music in the evenings. Great location, across the road from the beach. Breakfast was not included.

For unknown reasons, I booked a room with a balcony. I had chosen the more expensive room type, but the store arranged a room without a balcony. They said there were already guests who had booked it, but during my stay, only my room was occupied. No one else checked in. I felt cheated and in a bad mood. The hot water in the room was unstable. There were slugs and small garbage everywhere in the room. The cleanliness was really insufficient. It is not a B&B that I would recommend.
