Guest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, very close to the city center, making it easy to get to both the ancient city and commercial areas. Parking was also convenient for those arriving by car. Great value for money!
The rooms were clean and tidy, with a good separation of wet and dry areas. The soundproofing was also decent. The butler was warm and patient, always ready to answer any questions, which definitely enhanced our positive impression of Datong.

Guest UserI enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu.
There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies.
My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily.
The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing.
I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good.
Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around.
What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge!
If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

It is two kilometers away from the ancient city of Datong. You can achieve sightseeing freedom by scanning an electric shared bicycle downstairs. If there is a laundry room for facilities, it would be great, because in summer, there are more clothes that are sweaty and not washed. There is no laundry room or drying room for long stay, the hotel can change the operation strategy. There are also bath towels that are disposable, although convenient but very thin, and the experience is not good.

Guest UserThe room is large and well decorated. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The disposable slippers are very high-end. The whole house is smart. It's just that the air conditioner is a bit smelly and then turns off after ten minutes. The two beds in the house are very good. The only flaw is I feel that the glass in the bathroom and shower room should be covered with frosted film so that it cannot be seen through. After all, the two beds must be shared by a family. It is not convenient to have transparent glass with a film that does not provide privacy. Overall, it is very good and worth it. recommend

Guest UserGreat place to feel at home in a very nice area of the old city. Big and pretty room, comfortable and cozy. And last, for me, the very best at this place is the welcoming and very helpful staff. I have been here already 2 times and I will come back for sure when more friends come to China and want to visit the amazing caves and the great atmosphere of the old town. I absolutely recommend this hotel. 🙂🙂👍👍👏👏

sylva7The hotel is new (the TV screen protector hadn't even been removed yet) and the closets weren't fully set up.
If you're arriving by car, you access the hotel via the second-level underground parking lot.
Communication with the staff on Trip.com before arrival was excellent when I needed information.
The rooms we chose were in the basement, but the hallway was lit by natural light through skylights.
The owners don't speak English, but we managed to communicate using a translation app.
They were very responsive and resolved any issues, even at midnight.
The showers are a bit cramped; either the shower cabin isn't perfectly square, or in the other room, the space between the shower cabin and the sink is restricted.
Housekeeping was done daily, and water bottles were provided.
However, the toilet paper was supplied in very small quantities. If you ask at reception, they'll give you more, but it's always a hassle to have to go and ask when a normal amount could be provided initially. We only had one roll, which didn't seem full, regardless of whether you had a room for two or three people.
The electrical outlets don't accommodate French plugs, similar to what you find in Shanghai and Beijing.
There's no laundry service available.
The location is good, in a new district that's still under construction.
The alley leading to it at night is lovely, with the illuminated storefronts of the various houses.
The hotel can arrange a paid taxi service between the station and the hotel for guests staying in the basement rooms.
The rooms are well-equipped; only a few finishing touches, like bathroom caulking, are still needed.

The hotel is very close to the high-speed railway station and provides free pick-up and drop-off services to the high-speed railway station. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the price-performance ratio is very high.

Guest UserThis hotel is really really beautiful - maybe even more than the photos show. Even though the style is traditional, everything inside the room is new, and there's even an elevator to take up bags. The location is amazing too, inside the old city wall, and I walked everywhere except the out of town attractions I visited. I think anywhere you stay in Datong you might have some communication challenges if you don't speak Chinese, but the owner here was very helpful once I put wechat on my phone to be able to talk with translation help, and he was able to arrange a last minute taxi out to the hanging temple after I had given up trying to get one. However, even though he was very helpful, he wasn't always around, and checking in was a bit difficult because there was nobody at the desk. I think this is only a problem if you don't speak Chinese though.
Unfortunately, the wifi didn't always reach to my room on the 3rd floor well, and I could only get a trickle of hot water out of the shower. Overall though, I was super happy with this place and would recommend it!

For the price, it was everything you need! Clean spaces, comfortable capsule bed, drinking water, towels and shower slippers. The location is a 20 minute bike ride away from the ancient city center, but there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The hostel provides earplugs which significantly increase comfort of sleep, as the floors are quite squeaky. I am very happy with my stay and would come back again!
